Logistical details: there is a small parking lot outside the cafe where you can park. Don't pay for parking since it can be validated in the cafe! Drinks are not included in the price, but you can order coffee drinks from the cafe and they will bring them into the main cat room when they are ready.

The woman who called to arrange the delivery of Lucy's ashes was incredibly gentle and compassionate. I'm so sorry I didn't get her name, because the way she spoke to me and handled such a painful conversation meant more than she probably realizes. Today, Paul delivered Lucy's ashes, and he was equally wonderful, kind, respectful, professional, and very mindful that what he was bringing to me wasn't simply a package. He was bringing my little girl home. When you've loved a dog for so many years, their remains aren't just "ashes," and the people entrusted with their final care matter tremendously. Every interaction I had with this company made me feel that they understood that. There is no way to make any of this easy, but there is a way to handle the people grieving with tenderness, dignity, and humanity. This company did exactly that. Sadly, we will be looking for a new provider as PALS is no longer family owned and operated. They have not updated this site in quite some time apparently. In the last 18-24 months we have watched the cost of services more than double since the corporation took control. The staff is still incredible but the cost is just too steep. A ferret cremated in Jan 2022 was $115. The same service for another in May 2023 was $245. Today, as we prepare for another to cross over, I was quoted $258. I was told that prior to the corporation taking over they offered a "pocket pet" rate. This is no longer offered. Very disappointing.

(I contacted them a year or two ago when we were considering using them. We didn't end up needing them, but when we tried them last week when we finally did, John did not decide to call us back.)
