Thanks to his expertise, we had one successful egg retrieval, one successful embryo transfer, and now have our beautiful baby. We are incredibly grateful and highly recommend Dr. Derman to anyone seeking fertility care. I can't wait for our second transfer. The office staff and communication were generally good, though sometimes you have to advocate for yourself to receive responses. I paid cash upfront for an IVF cycle, but before beginning IVF, I unexpectedly became pregnant and the IVF treatment was never performed. I requested a refund of the money I paid for IVF, but the clinic is currently holding those funds because they are waiting to see what my insurance will pay toward separate unrelated pregnancy ultrasounds and appointments. In other words, they are holding money for a treatment I did not receive because I am a still being seen as a patient and could owe them money for balances that insurance does not cover. I completely understand that insurance claims can take time to process. However, I don't understand why money that I paid upfront for an IVF treatment that never occurred is being held while unrelated insurance claims are being processed. I expected much better communication and transparency, especially regarding a significant amount of money. While my experience with my provider and their staff has been amazing I cannot recommend this clinic as they will hold thousands of dollars and refuse to return your money in any timely manner. At this point I have been requesting and following up on this refund for over a month with no end in sight.

I have wasted thousands for mediocre service and little to no guidance or instruction during this stressful journey. I have been fear mongered by their doctor for having a known donor and not one purchased from them. I have been marked a no show for an appointment that I was signed in and waiting in the lobby for twenty minutes while the receptionists sat complaining about their work load. I have been poked and prodded by inexperienced medical assistants that can't find a vein. I have been a customer for over a year and a half and haven't had a good interaction yet. I have spent countless hours communicating with CIGNA because their billing department always finds a way to overcharge. I've sent questions regarding IVF and have been sent the IVF introduction that they send everyone because the person on the receiving end was too busy to care. (Stupid me for not knowing the process and procedure already. How dare I come to a specialist with questions.) I have been patient, hopeful, and understanding. We are all human and have off days. Maybe my expectations are too high when it comes to customer service, my body, my future, and where I spend my hard earned money. I'm truly ashamed of ARMS and everyone that represents them. "A family building families", mine already has dysfunction for free. I don't want theirs at a cost.

She is nice, confident, an expert, AND SHE CARES ABOUT YOU AND YOUR FUTURE. Shes the full package. Probably one of the best providers I've ever seen. I had an emergency surgery that came up and she approached it so swiftly, was truly empathetic, and provided the best care possible for me. I cannot say enough great things about her. Next is the support staff. Everyone here is so friendly and communicative. There is nothing more frustrating than going to a fertility clinic and having poor communication. That will not be your experience at Bloom. From Gabby, to Carmen, to Andrea, to even the nice lady at the front desk, you will be taken care of, The clinic is super clean and easy to get appointments with especially when your cycle starts. They are willing to do thorough testing before jumping to IVF and care about your goals. I literally have only good things to say about Bloom and Dr. Gordon. If I had to choose one negative thing it would be that I wish there was a way to send things directly to the doctor rather than having to schedule an appointment every time I need to update her with something, But hey, if that's my biggest concern, then I'm in a good position. Anyways, I would give this place 10 stars if I could so I hope that helps anyone in their decision-making process.

You can tell that they space the appointments appropriately and thoughtfully because I was with only one other person for a short time and another couple was coming in as I was leaving. I would much rather have a doctor that was a few minutes late than a doctor that rushes me out the door, especially for such a sensitive and emotionally trying journey. There were a lot of uneasy appts, lack of communication and we felt they didn't understand our timeline. We both understand this journey isn't a fast journey but my husband is an active duty military member and he was deploying for 12 mos. We started this journey a little over 1.5 years and the last office was just dragging their feet and we voiced our concerns since he was preparing to leave last December. I went back to my primary care dr on base and they referred us to Dr Craig. His office is a lot farther from us but to be honest it is 100% worth the drive. From the very first appt with dr Craig in person was so easy and he went into great detail of all the test we did that day and wrote out a timeline txt plan. I really appreciated Dr Craig taking his time and sitting in person with me. The last office, I never met the dr in person. I did not like that at all. We asked for a sit down in person and was told those are phone appts. We did not like that. We unfortunately don't have a little baby running around yet but Dr Craig and his office have been so accommodating with our situation and have been very informative. We are hoping this next round of IUI will stick but overall we have really enjoyed our experience with the staff thus far. I highly recommend!

I'm not a big fan of writing negative reviews but something tells me I need to speak up about my experience with them last summer and fall. I came to them on a referral from the VA which is very difficult to get in the first place. The VA actually recommended this facility to me because they had sent many women to them in the past. I should have done more research but it was on the spot so I agreed. From the start, Mary was extremely cold and seemed like she'd rather not be there. I saw her multiple times for multiple appointments and she was never very friendly. I actually felt like I was ruining her morning to be honest. I don't think I ever saw her smile. To be fair I always had an earlier appointment so maybe she's not a morning person but as a nurse myself I know many other nurses who would love to work there so that was just very off putting. Dr. Couvares (spelling?) was even worst. He was always cold, blunt and said some things that will unfortunately stick with me forever given the nature of the business there. He talks at you not with you. He goes on and on while you're still trying to process what he is saying. I was a labor and delivery nurse for almost 7 years and even for me the lingo he used was difficult to follow. I would ask questions and felt like I was a burden. I did all my lab tests and procedures on time as they instructed me to and was after that to make a separate video appointment than my husband to go over each of our results. I wanted to be together for those because it is such a sensitive topic and I lean on him to ask questions when I'm still stuck on the crushing terminology the doctor used just a second ago. Nope, had to be separate. So I took my last video call with the doctor in a parking lot in my car alone. He proceeded to talk at me for 15 minutes about what he saw which was not good news. Then tells me my ovaries are "circling the drain" and that the chances of me getting pregnant on my own are "slim to none". He told me that I'm also not a good candidate for IVF and if I was I should use donor eggs. I just sat and listened and tried to hold back tears. He left me with no options going forward. He just said oh you appear to have some inflammation somewhere in your body but we don't know where so I'm prescribing an acyclovir for you to take. He said work on diet and exercise and proceeded to lecture me on that without asking what I have done to be healthier since starting these tests months earlier. I had actually lost 25lbs since the start and was busting my butt in the gym. I'm only 165lbs at 5ft 5 mind you. I felt insulted and discarded in that moment. I got off the call and called my husband and bawled on the phone after. This doctors words and the way he made me feel will stick with me forever unfortunately. I'm not sure if it was because I came to him on a referral from the VA or because he knew I was a nurse but I can't shake how awful the whole experience was. Afterwards, nobody followed up with me. Months went by and I just kinda gave up on the idea of having a second baby. One positive takeaway was my experience with the blonde lady was very pleasant the two times she did procedures on me. I can't remember her name but I believe she was a PA there. She was amazing. Very warm and walked me through everything with care and sensitivity. Very professional and friendly both times. Do your research and go somewhere where the entire staff from start to finish handle your situation with care and understanding. It's hard enough for us women going through struggles trying to get pregnant or stay pregnant, we don't need more hurdles in the way. I hope this helps.
