Dr. Kim took his time to 'read' us and our bodies, explained in detail what the acupuncture procedure was and then performed it on both of us. We both noticed less pain, more mobility at the end of the procedure and felt more focused. My wife told me that she even felt taller and more alert. Dr. Connell is the first and only doctor I have ever been to that actually listens. Further, she considers your entire mind, body and environment in developing treatment. She made several suggestions and immediately told me her plan would not entail me being on all of the supplements and such forever, but to reduce to exactly what is needed as we proceeded through treatments. This is a fact. From the first set of supplements to now - the supplements have been reduced to half. From the first session I have experienced great changes to my pre-menopausal symptoms (hot flashes gone). From the next session my acne, weight gain, nail strength, and sleep have all improved (all the things I wanted to address). No joke I am almost cured - hahaha not possible but she is getting me close to how I felt before all my issues really kicked in. I am beyond excited and am so grateful and thankful. About a year ago I was given some very difficult news from my doctor, I would likely never conceive…read moreagain. I was devastated, my husband and I planned on having a second child and were shocked to hear this may be impossible. I was told that IVF was not even an option. The doctor informed me that my hormone levels were off balance and my body was not fertile and would likely never be again. I was only 36 years old and told I was going into early menopause. I was desperate for help and willing to try anything. I made an appointment with Betty and came in several more times throughout the month. I missed my last appointment to go on vacation and planned on coming back when I got back. Luckily, I never needed to make another fertility appointment...I was pregnant! 9 months later I was approaching my due date and worried I would have to be induced. I came in to see Betty again for a few sessions and felt very centered and relaxed after. I went into labor the next day and was able to delivery non medicated as I had hoped for! I'm sure there were a lot of things that contributed to successfully getting pregnant and going into labor, but I would like to think that accupuncture had something to do with it.
