I wanted to share an update that I have two more babies thanks to Dr. Amols and New Direction!! Thank you!

    Val C.

We are happy to announce that we completed a second transfer and welcomed our baby girl on 4/8/25! Thank you NDFC & Dr. Amols

    Hannah D.

Update: 9 months later and our son finally made his arrival. None of which would have been possible without Dr. Amols and his team at New Direction. We are so beyond grateful. We only had one embryo and today we are watching him sleep peacefully right beside us. If we decide to go through the process again, we will without a doubt be using Dr. Amols. We wouldn't trust anyone else with our fertility journey.

Ask the Community - New Direction Fertility Centers

Does the clinic offer outside monitoring in California?

Yes. We have partnered with a company who will come to your house.

Do you do tubal ligation reverse?

We do not, but few physicians do anymore. There are now better options that are even more affordable and have higher success.

Do you have in house surrogacy program?

We do not have our own surrogates. Currently we rely on agencies. This may change in the future.

Can you get IVF at the age of 19?

Yes. As long as you are 18, you can proceed with IVF.

Do you have an age limit? I'm 45 and wanting to try IVF?

We do not have age limits. We will always be honest about your chances, but we don't prevent people from trying because of age.

Does anyone know if he does MINI IVF or has anyone done Mini IVF with him?

Mini IVF is usually done to keep costs down. Since we are already an affordable clinic we do not offer a lower cost Mini IVF. A patient could choose to use less meds and do IVF with us. However, there are times this would be highly recommended… Read more

Does Dr. Amols work with IVF patients who have endometriosis/endometriomas?

Yes we work with patients who have endometriosis and/or with endometriomas. We treat both endometriosis medically and from a fertility stand point.

How long does it take to get an appointment?

We are booking out 6 months. However, we have a cancellation list that sends out a text anytime an appointment opens up.

    Is this facility LGBT friendly?

Absolutely LGBT friendly! Both as patients and as our staff :)

Does New Direction offer financing options?

We are going to offer financing this year. It will only be for treatment costs Not medication costs. However there are programs that will just finance medications.

Can anybody share their experience being an out of state patient with new direction? Was the process difficult since you were out of state?…

You can do ultrasounds and bloodwork in your own location (out of your own pocket though, if you do them in AZ then it is included in your price). If you self pay for those, though, they give a steep discount at most places. Its cheaper to rent an… Read more

I have been fear mongered by their doctor for having a known donor and not one purchased from them. I have been marked a no show for an appointment that I was signed in and waiting in the lobby for twenty minutes while the receptionists sat complaining about their work load. I have been poked and prodded by inexperienced medical assistants that can't find a vein. I have been a customer for over a year and a half and haven't had a good interaction yet. I have spent countless hours communicating with CIGNA because their billing department always finds a way to overcharge. I've sent questions regarding IVF and have been sent the IVF introduction that they send everyone because the person on the receiving end was too busy to care. (Stupid me for not knowing the process and procedure already. How dare I come to a specialist with questions.) I have been patient, hopeful, and understanding. We are all human and have off days. Maybe my expectations are too high when it comes to customer service, my body, my future, and where I spend my hard earned money. I'm truly ashamed of ARMS and everyone that represents them. "A family building families", mine already has dysfunction for free. I don't want theirs at a cost.

I explained everything detail of what was going on with me, he started off calling my case "boring" his words. I then re explained my issues he took that statement back quick and began to suggest every test possible. He was abrupt, rude and made us feel like just another hopeless case study. I left the call in tears in my husbands arms as he had basically said I could be going through early menopause at 30 and falling pregnant will be near impossible. Only minutes after the call ended we receive another call from there office for payment. I received another call days later to book the tests in that was then I said we would definitely not be proceeding with him. They seemed more about money then patient compassion. I would definitely not recommend this practice or doctor to any couple.

We landed at IVF Phoenix and spent several months doing labs, trying different supplements/protocols. Dr C digs deeper to get to the root of the problem and actually correct things in the body for an achievable pregnancy. For the first time in 5 years, I had a successful pregnancy. The best part for me was the weekly monitoring/labs/ultrasounds that gave me a peace of mind in what was normally the scariest weeks!! A year later, I got pregnant again, and he was willing to see me just for the weekly monitoring and made me feel so comfortable! I now have 2 healthy babies and am forever grateful I found Dr. C. I'm not a big fan of writing negative reviews but something tells me I need to speak up about my experience with them last summer and fall. I came to them on a referral from the VA which is very difficult to get in the first place. The VA actually recommended this facility to me because they had sent many women to them in the past. I should have done more research but it was on the spot so I agreed. From the start, Mary was extremely cold and seemed like she'd rather not be there. I saw her multiple times for multiple appointments and she was never very friendly. I actually felt like I was ruining her morning to be honest. I don't think I ever saw her smile. To be fair I always had an earlier appointment so maybe she's not a morning person but as a nurse myself I know many other nurses who would love to work there so that was just very off putting. Dr. Couvares (spelling?) was even worst. He was always cold, blunt and said some things that will unfortunately stick with me forever given the nature of the business there. He talks at you not with you. He goes on and on while you're still trying to process what he is saying. I was a labor and delivery nurse for almost 7 years and even for me the lingo he used was difficult to follow. I would ask questions and felt like I was a burden. I did all my lab tests and procedures on time as they instructed me to and was after that to make a separate video appointment than my husband to go over each of our results. I wanted to be together for those because it is such a sensitive topic and I lean on him to ask questions when I'm still stuck on the crushing terminology the doctor used just a second ago. Nope, had to be separate. So I took my last video call with the doctor in a parking lot in my car alone. He proceeded to talk at me for 15 minutes about what he saw which was not good news. Then tells me my ovaries are "circling the drain" and that the chances of me getting pregnant on my own are "slim to none". He told me that I'm also not a good candidate for IVF and if I was I should use donor eggs. I just sat and listened and tried to hold back tears. He left me with no options going forward. He just said oh you appear to have some inflammation somewhere in your body but we don't know where so I'm prescribing an acyclovir for you to take. He said work on diet and exercise and proceeded to lecture me on that without asking what I have done to be healthier since starting these tests months earlier. I had actually lost 25lbs since the start and was busting my butt in the gym. I'm only 165lbs at 5ft 5 mind you. I felt insulted and discarded in that moment. I got off the call and called my husband and bawled on the phone after. This doctors words and the way he made me feel will stick with me forever unfortunately. I'm not sure if it was because I came to him on a referral from the VA or because he knew I was a nurse but I can't shake how awful the whole experience was. Afterwards, nobody followed up with me. Months went by and I just kinda gave up on the idea of having a second baby. One positive takeaway was my experience with the blonde lady was very pleasant the two times she did procedures on me. I can't remember her name but I believe she was a PA there. She was amazing. Very warm and walked me through everything with care and sensitivity. Very professional and friendly both times. Do your research and go somewhere where the entire staff from start to finish handle your situation with care and understanding. It's hard enough for us women going through struggles trying to get pregnant or stay pregnant, we don't need more hurdles in the way. I hope this helps.
