We drove two cars to drop it off our truck and get errands and house work done. When we arrived at 9:00 am the door was locked. A few minutes later a few more cars arrived and a worker showed up. He claimed he had keys but not to the alarm so could not get in. Said the manager was on vacation and the district manager was supposed to coordinate someone to open. We decided to leave the car and get a coffee down the street. When we returned around 9:30 the same guy said he has yet to hear from anyone. So we left and sent a message to the company for a follow up. No response. Poor customer service. And they better pay that worker for a full day. He showed up.

NOT SO FAST OLD MAN! The good folks at Sullivan told me the tire couldn't be repaired because the screw was too close to the sidewall. What they didn't know is that I knew exactly where the screw was. It was well within the tread. But they REALLY wanted to help with my problem, and offered to sell me one tire, for nearly $400. Installed I assume, or maybe not. So, I took my leak elsewhere. Got it repaired for $40 and made a friend. The man has been in the tire business for decades, and just shook his head when I told him the story. Here's the thing: I never begrudge a man a day's pay, but do not try to take advantage of me. I'm too old and I worked too f***ing hard for my pension to get porked because the rubber merchants had a slow day. Sullivan Tire will reply, bleating their side of the story. And that's fine. A few days ago, I noticed that my back left tire was flat, so I brought the tire in to determine what could have caused it to go flat. There was no evidence of a leak, but when pressure was placed on the sidewall of the tire, air leaked out between the rim and the tire itself. My understanding is that an issue like this is caused by improper installation, causing the seal between the rim and the tire to slowly lose it's integrity and allow air to leak out. I asked for the cost of a replacement tire to be covered by the establishment, being that I just purchased this tire less than a year ago, and improper installation has resulted in the need to purchase yet another new tire. They would have secured my repeat business if they had handled this properly, as I fully understand that mistakes happen. As long as accountability is taken for those mistakes, that is the mark of a great business. Unfortunately, I was met with an incredibly rude manager who was not willing to collaborate on coming up with a solution to this problem. I will not be taking my business here in the future, and I hope that sharing this experience prevents others from going through the same thing.
