LV - Galeries Lafayette I must give a major shout out to my wonderful Sales Advisor, Audrey DH, as she was beyond dedicated to ensuring I had an amazing experience! I came during July 2024 and truly hope that she is still there. I was directed to this location because the specific purse I wanted was unavailable at their Champs-Elysées location. She entertained my request to speak in French and provided me with the exact bag I wanted. I was disappointed though as there were blemishes on the bag and asked if there were possibly other locations that might have it as I knew I would return home unsatisfied if I left with the one in their store. She was so kind that she actually had the duplicate bag delivered to the store from the Printemps in Galeries Lafayette and if that's not quality customer service then I don't know what is! Had to wait about 45 minutes just to find out it's the women's only store. Fine. We will look and find reasons to spend money. But no, they must've thought we couldn't afford anything or weren't serious because we just the "oh, the men's store is next door on the 3rd floor." No desire to want to help, no desire to see if we could help them earn some moment on a sale since customers are queuing up to come in. No thanks. Service here is horrible. I have purchased several LV bags in different countries and the staff here made me feel so bad about touching anything that I felt like I needed to leave. Shout out to our personal shopper. Was super patient with our family while shopping. We came in as strangers and left as friends. Must have your Passport and payment /credit card with your name matching your passport for the VAT. Paperwork will be given, beautifully wrapped, excellent service. Hot tip: We had an issue for my mom, she didnt have her passport, so we had to figure out an alternative. Always bring your passport ( no copies)? My husband wanted to buy me a passport cover for my birthday. We put it on hold & went back the next day to pick it up. They had us go to the 5th floor Louis Vuitton where the man wouldn't even let us into the store. We went back downstairs. They had an associate go upstairs to get the passport cover. The manager & sales associate kept arguing with us, going back & forth. The sales associate hot stamped my passport cover with the wrong stamp & put it in the wrong place. When I told her about it. This LV store is one of many on Paris. While others are amazing, this one is lacking in selection. It is a tiny store to be available due to the location that draws many a buyer. Value is not what you might expect as LV has raised their pricing significantly over the past 3 years. (See my review of the flagship store.) The reason for the low score is the service. The sales people at this site are too snobby. I visited multiple LV and high end stores in Paris. These people are the worst at engaging with customers. Unless you are walking in carrying other high end products (wearing or purchased) they will not even come to meet or greet you. Sadly I recommend you go to another LV store to spend your money. read more

Highly disappointed. Not only was the wait long, but they did not have the item I wanted in stock. This was early in the morning and they could save people time if they asked them what they wanted so they can check before sending them to the waiting area. Some older lady who came in after a few groups of us was given priority and the way the associates fawned over her made me want to reconsider making a purchase at all. What's not to like about LV in Paris or Europe!?!? The limited editions, the colors, and the tax free/ tax return!!! Come to your favorite stores early in the morning (most stores open at 10am) to avoid the lines and the crowd, and especially the tour groups! Sales are busy but polite and helpful. And please do not "butt in" while they are helping others. It's not nice and they don't that at all... that's when I see they get a bit not nice "please wait madam", "you'll have to wait until I finish with this guest, etc.". Don't be afraid to ask for suggestions, best sellers, and limited editions "in the back room"... they may just surprise you with some nice unexpected items! In Paris, there are many locations of the famed Louis Vuitton brand. This location happens to be located inside a shopping center or Galleria instead of a stand-alone store. I found the experience to be slightly different than shopping at their flagship on the Champs Élysée. For one, the customer service wasn't as good and they seemed to be more in a rush than helping you make the best purchase for yourself. I found the queue to be long unnecessarily and people would just stop waiting and leave because we would wait and wait another the line didn't move. When I would ask a question, my sales associate didn't appear to be too interested in answering it but giving only one word answers. They weren't engaging and really not much help at all. It was maddening. Second, they were out of stock on many items which I didn't understand because they aren't as busy as the main Flagship. So this was also disappointing and I ended up going back to the flagship to get the items that I wanted. Sorry that this review is meh, that's the feeling and experience I had and maybe I had my expectations too high. Overall, this location is decent and does stock many items but be prepared to be told "we don't have any in stock". I would go back if necessary but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

My wife said that we have to stop by here on this trip... well we did! My first impression was that it will be the same store as the U.S. I was wrong, once you get in you are greeted by a hostess that directs you to a sales associate. On this particular day the store was very busy so we had to wait a little bit before someone could help us. My wife already knew what she wanted and so all she had to do was show Vincent, the person assigned to help us. Vincent politely told us that they sold out on what she wanted. I had asked Vincent if they had anything comparable, they did. Vimcent went to prepare purchase and he asked us if we wanted some beverage... my wife had champagne and I had an espresso. The worst LV store in Paris when shopping today. The employees were looking at us up and down while we were waiting in line and giving an unpleasant look (probably because we weren't dressed in luxury brands like everyone). Once we got through, we waited another 20 minutes to get help. They were even helping those that were standing in line behind us. When we finally got help, they said they were going to check in the back. We waited another 20 minutes. Almost a full hour and they couldn't even tell us if they had it in stock in the back. My family were here in Paris for week, so what better to end it with some Louis Vuitton shopping! My husband promised me a gift from Paris and this is was his idea of a gift to me. My overall experience at this location was okay expected it to be great but it wasn't. Not very impressed with the long ass line just for this store alone. My husband and brother inlaw was with me to shop as well. Estimated time was almost 2 hours in line! They could at least give us some refreshing drinks while standing in line for an hour but that was not the case. Also, the store didn't really have much nice selections of bags & purses that I expected it to have. Plus, the bags that I were looking for was ALL SOLD OUT! I just ended up getting a black leather purse. I had high expectations for this store but was very disappointed! The men's area pm the other hand, had better styles of bags and wallets and a lot cheaper too! I saw so many customers with champagne and drinks and I expected to be offered some as well sine we are spending a good amount of money but unfortunately I end up asking instead...The associate (man) was not the friendliest and could work a little more on customer service...He was ok and was willing to help us but not the friendliest! I would recommend my family and friends to try another location if your in Paris. We weren't prepared of the long ass line! Get here early. If not you'll find that you'll be standing in line and by the time you get up to the point of shopping all the popular items will be out of stock. They do give you water though. And mad kudos to the guys who bring their tablet out to the line to check stock for everyone. Their patience was impressive given the amount of Asian people almost pummeling them to ask questions about their inventory lists. Obviously I came here because you save $$ vs buying in the USA just on upfront cost, can get items that are always sold out in the states and who doesn't love not paying taxes and saving more $$. Had I known I could save as much as I did I would have purchased my last LV here and skipped the US stores. This store seemed highly inefficient though. It took from time getting in there to leaving close to an hour. And I already knew what I wanted when I went in and already stood in line for that hour to get it. So they pull it from the back, then bring it up to show it to you, then send you to the checkout once you give them the "yes thats good to go", then they bring it out to you after checkout in the usual bag all fancy looking.... but I have really NO clue what they are doing in back between each of those steps because its about a 20 minute wait between each and you have a dedicated associate to you. Maybe they are drinking because if I had to deal with some of the people I saw in there that's what I would be doing. I do give the staff major credit - they are so patient and polite. All I can say is ask the guy with the tablet before spending an hour+ in line because stuff goes fast. read more

I truly believe that the top of LVMH teach their employees that customers are human cattle to be milked, treat them as such. Give them just enough attention to keep them in the lines, but when they're inside...get what you can out of them as quickly as possible. The whole facade of the lines to get into the store, only to be told they don't have what you are looking for...buy this or that instead. "You want it or no".."someone else will buy it". I had to come here two days in a row, first time I forgot my passport and had to leave to get it. The SA neither put my items aside for me or asked me if I'd like to at least reserve or layaway them as she is supposed to. Come back the next day to wait another hour to find that they were sold and I would have to make other selections. Was rushed out of there so they could go milk other clients. Regretfully bought things for other people, but would never set foot in a Louis Vuitton again. As I've always believed and am seeing more and more often, the wealthy don't waste their time in these lines to buy these so called "luxury" items for validation, only those who covet and pretend will give their money up for this "luxury experience". read more

Very nice experience here if you have an appointment. Set an online appointment before coming to avoid queuing in long lines. Look for Miryam and Natalia they are the best most specially Miryam she will go through beyond her duty for you. Very patient and accommodating. I think we came back in the stores for 3x with my mom and my friend. Make sure to bring your passport, be ready for your wish list with pictures it gets the process faster and efficient. The tax form they provide just bring it in the airport for tax refund upon leaving Paris. Be careful of pickpockets outside the mall while booking for Uber or taxi. They are plenty and they will distract you.. read more

While this wasn't the location we initially wanted to visit, my sister and I were close by. There was a line that almost scared us away but we kept it moving. We were pretty much waiting for a sales associate to break free. French and English speakers get in quicker since there are more SA's that can accommodate them. The wait wasn't even five minutes until we got things rolling. The long part really is make that final decision. They offer drinks to customers and the SA working with us was very patient. We were there for a little over an hour. Though it felt much longer. I ended up getting a little something for myself since my sister was taking forever. I couldn't help but look around lol. The only negative thing I have to say has to do with the final step, going to pay for the stuff. When we were there, they only had one person working the register. I already felt tired and waiting to pay was just a nightmare that day. It took about another 20-25 mins to pay. What a drag. Other than that, this isn't such a bad location. And conveniently, you can take care of your VAT refund downstairs. Easy peasy. read more

Review: Louis Vuitton in Galleries Lafayette. This is a review for the Louis Vuitton in Galleries Lafayette. First of all, DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I can not empathize this enough! There are plenty of other Louis Vuitton in Paris. This location has a line that's crazy, then the employees herd you in like cattle and their only concern is to get your transaction completed so they can accommodate the next herd. You are buying a luxury item, and you should be treated as so. This is NOT a great experience specially if it's your first!!!! I came here and bought a purse, of course what I came for was out of stock, apparently sold all of that style the morning of, but yet was told that it is sold out all over Europe too, according to the sales woman. As I looked at other styles, I felt so rush. I was asked if I wanted water that never came. I ended up picking out a purse to purchase, told the sales person I was from the USA and asked about VAT (tax refund for being a foreigner). They bring you to another counter for check out and it was so chaotic (that's an understatement). I was request to go from one counter to the another (shuffling back and forth a few times)... I was pushed and shoved by other shoppers! I mean this is not a Coach store... this is Louis Vuitton right???? The sales person handed me my receipt in the nice orange envelope and the shopping bag, then sent us on our way. She then disappeared. I noticed that the purse had its dust cover but was not placed in a box. It's ok, I walked across the street in Pintemps which the LV store inside had absolutely no line (no wait & a better newer mall in my opinion) and was accommodating when I asked for a box (since the LV in Galleria Lafayette did not provide one). This LV store also had a line out the door like the one on Champs Élysées, but good thing I had the bag I wanted on hold because that was my ticket to get in. I went here twice because I had to think and think about buying this ridiculously expensive bag. But I'm glad I bought it here in the Galleries Lafayette because they have a "detax" area in the basement level where you can just fill everything out for the 12% tax credit. All I had to do was submit it at CDG customs and mail it off. The sales reps at LV in France in general are so nice. They offered me mariage frères tea, champagne, coffee, coke, juice, perrier,etc. I bought one tie for my hubby and a bag for myself, I saved almost $900!!! That can buy me another bag! I think it was cheaper than the states because the Euro is falling. If you pay cash, you get 10.8% back immediately. If you pay by credit card you get 12% back and it takes about 2 months for the credit. read more

I was here last week and let me just say I had the best customer service here than the rest of Paris. We made line it wasn't that long probably 2-3 people in front of us. Someone greeted us at the line and asked if we knew what we where looking for. Which we did. The lady immediately searched on her iPad and let me know they are in stock which was great. (Btw I went here two times on two different days) When it was our turn Marc helped us with our purchase and my boyfriend and I were offered refreshments. Marc was very patient that we ended up buying something extra. He was very polite that we said we would definitely come back here to shop again. Well we ended up there again the following day. The second day we saw a longer line but we said it was worth it. Immediately Marc saw us as soon as we entered the line mind you there was about 5 people in front of us. He actually ended up coming to get us to help us out again. I'm just going to say I was very satisfied with the customer service but most of all my purchases l. Thank you Marc for making this experiencing great. We will definitely be back. The only thing is just make sure when you go to LV store and get VAT refund you request to get it back in cash. I ended up flying from London and they let me know for the future they can do Cash and it would be given in dollars not euros or pounds. ( The cash is given at the airport where you are flying out from) Which I though was great. I was under the impression that this was only given in the Euros but I was definitely wrong. Do not visit this location. We went this afternoon because we wanted to purchase some specific items. We waited in cue to get in, but once allowed, was completely ignored because the staff were only interested in catering to Chinese tourists that came in large groups. When I asked an employee that was passing by for assistance she told us we needed to be in cue to get assistance. I informed her we had been and were let in she said "sorry, I'm assisting other customers" to which I asked if anyone else can help and she suggested we get back in cue then walked away. This is after waiting 20 minutes for someone to help us. I witnessed another couple treated the same way by another employee as we were leaving. The mall itself is a genuine fashion checkpoint with superb customer service! the mall itself was crowded, at least 40 to 50 people in line at any particular store Laurie at the Louis Vuitton made sure that all of our needs were met, I am usually a destination shopper, I had a little shopping list with me when I left the hotel that morning. Racism, is what I experienced at the Louis Vuitton store in Galeries Lafayette. Due to my Chinese heritage, I was turned away at the door and was asked to wait outside in a long line with a group of other Chinese customers for at least half an hour before even allowed to set foot in the store. While I was waiting in line, I noticed that other WHITE guests were let in through a side door and received immediate service. Enraged by what I saw, I approached the security lady/salesperson at the door again. This time, she let me in. I wonder if my American English gave away my U.S. nationality - she had a 180-degree change of attitude, letting me in immediately without any questions while still blocking out other Chinese patrons. Unbelievable. I knew exactly what I wanted to purchase - a pair of cufflinks which they have on display. However, it took our sales rep Seiko V. half an hour to find a new pair in stock and another half an hour to swipe my credit card. I guess the purchase wasn't big enough to get your enthusiasm up? Seiko V. was rude and unprofessional the entire time - she told us the pair on display was the last pair without even checking the system. She never apologized for giving us the wrong information or for having us waiting around for so long due to her tardiness. I could have been in and out in 15 mins but instead I wasted over an hour at this racist store. It was the worst customer service I have ever experienced at any Louis Vuitton store, or any luxury brand. The entire store was screaming racism. I would never ever go back again. I visited Printemps next door afterwards and it was a much better experience - it was less crowded, offered free Wifi and more importantly, it did not give customers the snobby and racist attitude. read more

The Louis Vuitton customer service was a disappointment. I was treated rudely by the cashier and Sales Associate. The mall itself was overly crowded which I expected along with wait line just to enter Louis Vuitton but to be spending a large sum of money and the SA handed one of my items without a box just the dust bag I had to ask for a box. She also lied and said she would get me a new bag but when I left the store and check I realized it was the same bag that was shown to me. The cashiers were worse, my card had declined due to a credit limit and I had to go to the end of the line and when the next available cashier was open she called me up I told her my receipt was with the gentlemen next to her. She didn't acknowledge me after that and said "next customer" not even an "ok wait until that cashier is available" which was very rude. I waited for the cashier who helped me prior and asked if I could pay with 2 different cards since the SA said that was allowed he immediately and he said no you can't split the payment on one item in a very rude tone and began to argue with me that I was only buying one item when I was ACTUALLY buying two. After he looked at the receipt he realized his mistake but did not apologize. The only positive service were the ones working in the tax refund center who made it fast and easy to claim the VAT refund. But the service associate could seriously use a lesson on decent customer service since they have none. read more

She appeared irritated, didn't know their products, catered more to the Chinese, very rude, she spoke more to other staff than she did to us in another language besides French or English. I hated to have spent over $2k Euros with her if she worked on commission. Not impressed with the service.
