(And that ATM machine at the corner? It looks like it'll not only steal your identity but your soul as well.) My last visit (2023-ish) I tried their 'combo' (one hot dog, one sausage) which was... okay. But when they're slinging a double Italian hot dog? They're firing on all cylinders. Tommy's is not shy to pile a wicked amount of grub into that pizza bread. The hot dogs kind of get lost under a mountain of deep-fried and oily (but delicious) sliced spuds. (I do wish they weren't so stingy with the peppers and onions to really balance out the meal.) The 'Holy Trinity' when it comes to Italian hot dogs in North Jersey is a no-brainer... Dickie Dee's, Jimmy Buff's and Tommy's. (For me - no one comes close to Dickie Dee's but my one kid said Tommy's was his [current] fave.) As for that couple that came cashless? A good Samaritan behind me pulled out a wad of cash (it's not wise to pull out a fistful of cash anywhere you go but it's ESPECIALLY not wise when you're in the rough and tumble streets of Elizabeth, let's be real) and after swapping Venmo information everything was a-okay. Take-out/to-go only. Parking is atrocious. Guy behind the glass - always aces. (Oh, and... cash only!)

I've had the sausage/dog combo before that's like an Italian Dog and I loved it but I had never just had some good old doggies here so I grabbed a couple. Went with 1 with red onions and mustard and 1 with chili, diced onion, and mustard. I love red onions, just a big nostalgia thing to my youth getting dogs in Coney Island at Nathan's. These onions were tasty. The chili wasn't what I was expecting but the crunch from the diced onion was welcomed. The rolls tasted fresh and the dogs had a fantastic snap and delicious flavor. No surprise here - Tommy's - Didn't Suck!

Clean, trendy with quality ingredients. The caffeine gaulo was delicious. The pastel with ham and cheese huge. It was memorable and delicious. The sauces ate all house made. Too die for. I ordered the open hot dog, dog Alberto. Its so wild. The coolest thing I've eaten in the usa. A hotdog on bread wrapped in mashed garlic potatoes with mozzarella (cheese pull) and so many things. Ill be back to try the others. It could feed a family. Great pastries and candies.

I'm giving a 4 stars because the food is so delicious and I've always had a good experience except a couple of nights ago. They used to sell burger dogs it was basically if a hamburger and hotdog had a baby and it's so good, that's what I usually order, when we called it in we said "burger dogs" and places the order like normal, they charge a couple dollars for delivery. Couple minutes pass by and we decided we forgot to add something to the order so we call them and ask for it to be placed with the other one. We are told we have to pay a delivery fee again because it's by card, which didn't make sense to me at all, he spoke to the owner and they said if it's in cash we don't have to pay that delivery fee but by card we have to nothing he can do thankfully we had enough cash on hand but that already made me feel some type of way, once the food arrives I realize it was a burger (not the burger dog so it didn't have the sausage) honestly I was just so disappointed so I called them and they said they don't sell burger dogs anyone how people have been getting confused, but correct me if I'm wrong, if a coustomer calls and says burger dog wouldn't you correct then right there by saying they don't make it anymore, but over all the food is good but how everything was handled from the miscommunication and then the delivery fee I feel like is unacceptable especially since I've been such a loyal customer and supported them before they even opened this location.

There is a cute outdoor seating area with a tent and potted plant decor. It's nicer than it looks; I mean that in the best way possible! It looks kitchsy if you pass by quickly but the decor and outdoor furniture is actually nice and sturdy and the eclectic nature works. The inside of the food truck has vintage photos of celebrities and 50s pinups eating hot dogs. They have lots of interesting sodas and some chips and snacks too. Great for a casual local date or family outing!

I was driving someplace ELSE for lunch today and saw Joey Mac's while driving down Frank E. Rogers Blvd in Harrison...wherever else I was going was gonna have to wait! Pulled right over and jumped out to grab and go. I ordered a Chili/cheese dog, a chili/cooked onions/mustard dog, and a smoked kielbasa with sexy kraut and mustard. Skin-on Sabrett's always make for a delicious dirty water dog and this was the case today. The Chili/cheese dog was excellent...with a very nice tasting chili that isn't too sweet. I don't know what they do to their cooked onions, but my second dog was awesome as well-nice connection between the chili and the other toppings. But the coupe-de-gras was the kielbasa...looked like a regular hot dog but when you bite into it is is smoked heaven! Whatever the hell they put in their sexy kraut (other than the chopped bacon and onions) really is SEXY! SO.FRIGGIN.GOOD!!!! When my co-worker returns from his current trip we will need to stop here again!!! I don't know how long they've been here, but I can't believe I'm the first to review this little gem.

The game was held at Mike Sheppard Sr. Field which is where the Seton Hall University softball team plays...a very nice facility. As we left the house late (I had to drive from Newark all the way home to get her, then drive back to Newark...ugh), we didn't get a chance to eat so I was praying they had some kind of concession stand or food truck. When we finally got to the field we were SO happy to find Donny's Dogs. Donny's is apparently a pretty popular hot dog truck from the area and the dirty water dogs are supposed to be pretty good. My daughter and I each ordered two dogs-hers with just ketchup and I had one with mustard and ketchup and one with kraut and chili. Hard to beat the price for the plain dogs-three for $5. The plain dogs were very good, but I didn't care for the chili and kraut dog-had a funky flavor that I just didn't like. The rest of the stuff Donny's had for sale (candy, drinks, chips, etc) seemed like it was decently priced. And the end of the night we had some good hot dogs, got to watch a great game that my daughter's future high school team won, and had some good Daddy-Daughter time. I hope I get another chance to try Donny's Dogs...
