Great prices and variety for a hotdog, that's all they have - hot dogs so make sure you want one before you go! I got the 1/4 lb with chili and potato sticks. Good sized portion for being hungry for lunch. I like the flavor of the chili and the hot dogs had a great flavor too and was cooked well. I ate the whole thing including the bun! What a great small town, store front, hot dog stand. Parking is a little rough but well worth looking for that spot. This is a veteran owned establishment and everything is made fresh and to order. On top of that, everyone was VERY nice and helpful. I went with the Hot Dog of the month and a regular hot dog. They use all beef Sabrett hot dogs with natural casing. The hot dog of the month was BBQ bacon Mac n cheese. Oh my God and did this deliver. They also offer a little Mike's hot honey on top. Absolutely insane. So... it's going to be hot dogs. It's a (literally) rectangle-shaped-hole-in-the-wall at the tail-end of a very busy street, catty-corner to 'The Loop' (where the buses start/stop their various routes).  Metered street parking (but hey - you get an hour for a quarter!) and you'll have to take your weenies to go. Sabrett. Bun. These are the 'vehicles' to the good stuff - the toppings - which is where these dogs jump up another star for me. Hot onions - all truth in advertising here.  Scorching and flavorful.  Potato - they're hyped-up "secret recipe" - looked like a clunky chili dog but tasted like... something else.  (Probably wouldn't have guessed potato, though.  Still - it was delicious.) Chili Cheese - beans in the chili (yeah!) and not skimpy with the (messy, oozing) cheese. And C&C sodas?!  C'mon, now.  Doesn't get much better than that when you're chowing down on a frankfurter. An overall 10/10!--or 5 stars I should say. Hot dogs were great, and the owner was so kind! I ordered the deviled egg dog with pickled onions and jalapeño and sriracha. I also ordered the lucky devil dog, and a hot dog with hot onions & mustard. He even threw in a little side of devil dog dust which was great! (And two lollipops for dessert ). Wonderful experience overall; can't wait to continue giving this place my business! Just a heads up if you aren't from the area: it is an outdoor walk up counter, and parking can be a little tricky. This is a little hole in the wall spot located on Ridge Rd. In North Arlington just north of the Belleville Pike. Been wanting to try it for a while and finally got the chance to stop in. Ordered the kraut dog and the sweet onion dog. Both dogs had a nice snap and the toppings were very tasty. The Sabrett dogs had a nice snap and were hot. Washed it down with a classic C&C vanilla cream soda. The service was polite and quick. It's basically just an order window so no inside seating. All in all worth a stop if your into a good hot dog. The restaurant is veteran owned so definitely give it a chance and support local businesses. Will definitely be back. read more

DEVIL DOGS recently changed ownership and I had the opportunity to visit there last week (5/24). The service and quality of the product was the same as well as the prices so I had two Hot Dogs with Sauerkraut and one with Mustard and Chili which was excellent! I had an Iced tea as well and the menu seems for the most part the same. I wish the new owners well and when in North Arlington, Devil Dogs is always a stop along the way! Located on the main street, Devil Dogs is Veteran-owned and is a small spot where you order at the window. The owner is very passionate about his craft and the test of the hot dogs definitely back that up! The two hot dogs I tried were the following: Blackhawk Dog - Hot Dog with mustard, ketchup, hot onions, chili, sauerkraut, cheese and bacon bits Potato Dog - Hot Dog with Potatoes utilizing their "secret recipe" Keep that receipt secret, as it will keep making me come back! Both hot dogs tasted great. The Blackhawk Dog definitely is one to get if you are hungry, as there are just so many toppings on it! I finally got a spot ( I am always in a car as I don't live in neighborhood) Dogs were just delicious, fresh with a snap, fresh bun, wonderful sweet onions. Gentleman took great care to generously top the dogs, wrap them individually, gave me dinner napkins! Everything was a win win.
