Several of her family members and her five (5!) children. It is a beautiful place, well laid out, plenty of parking, gorgeous views and dedicated to all veterans, so a special meaning for me as a veteran. With beautiful, covered areas for grilling and eating, lots of paths for walking, jogging, and dog walking. A huge playground for children, which made for hours of fun for the kids. Plenty of parking all around the lake. A nice dock for feeding the ducks and fish, not sure if they allow fishing or not. A nice workout area with lots of different exercise equipment. Plenty of war memorials for veterans and families of veterans. Several areas of names of local veterans that served. And really nice and clean restrooms for after a couple bottles of water. Most impressive though was the placement of a combat jet lifted high in the air. A beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable park nestled right off a main road. Just watch the GPS carefully, it's a small road leading in. We missed it but the jet caught our attention and we turned about.

It is super spacious and with several wide and comfortable paths. On each road you find water fountains for the dogs yes because it is quite hot and once you get tired of walking with your dog almost at the exit they have a closed and quite wide area with seats and certain obstacles for the dogs to play climb and ride. Anyway, my Oliver loves the only thing that we get out of there very dirty by the sand although at the exit they have a hose to clean his legs. Highly recommended, I assure you, you will love it. You can't bring food or drinks. And the dogs are without the leach

They are soccer fields and they are nicely leveled and marked. They are great for playing on and there are several fields. We have 6 teams that play each other at once on 3 fields and there are typically (high school?) soccer games going on at the same time. As a bystander attending a game you should know a few things. Parking shouldn't be too much of an issue. It can be a little tricky to get in and out when everyone has games at the same time. You will have to walk some and probably up a hill and possibly on a slanted hill to get around to where your team is. There are sporadic metal benches or tables, but not enough for all the spectators. I would recommend bringing a blanket or chair if you want to sit. I personally just stand for the games. Depending on which field you are on, you may be in the shade. Our games have been all quite nice and comfortable temperature wise, but that is probably due to the time of year. Overall, it is a decent place to play soccer or football. The fields are well maintained. While it is out of the way for me personally, I enjoy watching my students play here and look forward to the games.

I've only had my dog, Penney, for nine months. The first few months consisted of dealing with…read moreshots, being in heat, and then, finally, getting her spayed. She loves going on walks but has that little dog mentality where she barks at all the other dogs. We went to dog training, basic and intermediate. I was nervous about taking her to the dog park, due to all of the above issues. When we first arrived, so many of the little dogs come running up to the gate, making it a bit intimidating to come in. Both my Penney and I struggled with this for the first few weeks but soon she began to love going there. It was almost six weeks before I saw her initiate play with another dog. It's been enjoyable seeing her having fun. My only complaint would be that it seems there should be a cement platform under the picnic tables. The dogs have dug a tunnel under one. Not sure where they plan on going! The shade and the breeze are really nice up there. Even when it's too hot at home, it's almost always better at the dog park!
