Millie, excited to meet new doodles on the walk!
Tracy S.

My dog loved this dog park, and I enjoyed the structured walk too. I had purpose as well, instead of just sitting while she played. The leisurely walk through the path was relaxing, it was March so the breeze was nice, Millie met other doodles she enjoyed frolicking with. Also, she's used to being on a leash when we go for walks so this was good practice to be off leash and yet stay with me on a walk. She would get ahead of me a little bit, then she would lag behind a little bit and overall she stayed with me, which I never would've expected. It was a great experience for us and I'm glad I took everyone's advice to check this Park out.

my dog and i enjoyed coming here to this dog park, it's local, easy to access with lots of walking trails, water bowls, and different areas to walk run play. disadvantages: parking can get tight, owners who do not pick up their dog waste - it's more trails than field here, so if you do find a patch of grass to toss a ball for your dog- look out! there are poo landmines all over; biggest letdown was that it doesn't open til 11am on Friday mornings. In the summer? In Florida? I needed to take my dog early before a work meeting and to beat the FL heat - SUPER disappointing.

Love this park with gravel walking trails big water bowls shade Trees and clean benches under the shade trees. Great area to exercise get your powerwalking in and let your pups run free on the trail. All dogs allowed and mixed small & large breeds. Plenty of lit parking spaces and a wash station outside the gates under a covered area. We will be back! Perfect shades park for the hot summer months!

Cute Park in the countyside area. I love that many dogs go there and you can unleash them. Park is big enough for a walk and is well maintained. We plan to come here every weekend. Kind of get the feel of ft Desoto without the drive lol. We have been twice and love.

Not my fave dog park! It is interesting how they have a dog trail. It's kind of like a dog's walking trail in the forest preserve. It is not truly a place to play fetch because it is a trail. The gated dog area with the agility and park or too mulch you for our liking! There is shade and benches! It is good to know it is here, but we have seen better.

Our Maxwell loves this park! We were visiting and came here at least 4 times in the week! Very nice park, lots of space and different trails. People clean up after their dogs and keep it nice. Was nervous a couple times because you never know how it's gonna go with other dogs but for the most part all the owners were good about staying close to their dogs and making sure they didn't get aggressive or anything like that. We would definitely come visit again, I think our dog will dream about this park until we do! Sunday morning is a madhouse, afternoon during the week was definitely more calm.

This dog park is great! Lots of room to let your pet off leash and run around. Never met an unfriendly dog or person.

The park seems big when you first enter it, a huge field, a fenced in agility area, but there's more.

They have two separate seating areas that are completely gated and secured where your fur baby can run around with all of their dog buddies, pups are welcomed in the bar area too but just need to remain "on-leash". Another big plus: you must register your dog the first time you come in with all of their shot records and this is enforced so the pups can run around safely. There are big flat screen TVs everywhere and they even have the NFL package. Good selection of beers, wine, seltzers and cocktails. They have dog meet ups that are breed specific that are really popular. It's an open air setting, but they have lots of fans. Support a Women owned business. Definite must check out if you have a dog or love dogs. ‍

After they separated, I remained close to my dogs to ensure they were not causing the problems which they weren't. Upon walking back towards the front of the park, the same dog owned by a tall heavyset blond woman and another person's dog, owner male both jumped my dog pinning my husky to the ground, while they both tried to bite him. Neither owner did anything to stop it. I had to get in there for them to stop attacking my dogs risking getting bit myself. After it was over, the female dog owner had the audacity to tell me I should take my dogs and go when it was her dog and the other dog's male owner that did nothing. Just stood there and watched. My husband had never had an issue at this park, but I refuse to go again and it's the closest park to our home. Photos of owners and dogs attached. I would highly advise against taking your dog into this park if they're around. Horrible and frightening experience with owners that did not care and did nothing to make it stop. The lady also persisted to laugh and make fun of me for being upset. I intend to file reports with animal control and spoke to a sheriff while at the park.

They do have a dog water faucet but for some reason, none of my dogs will every drink out of it, even the pair before my current set. I do have portable bowls but again, but they time we get there they are overheated and do not want to run around. Too bad the two size cages were both in the same area or parking was closer.

Lake Chautaqua offers more shade and, if you like, a paved walkway that runs along the road. There are also some well-established paths within the wooded area, which I really like. Of course, the oak trees & palms including many other plants/trees I couldn't identify are so pretty.
