Small dog side (Shih tzu for size)
Alexia A.

Best around Tampa I've found so far. My dogs love real grass and it's lush and huge here. There's 2 separate gigantic parks for small/large breeds. Both sides have a watering hose. There's a playground and basketball court and BATHROOMS. Plenty of parking every time I go. It's tucked away in a neighborhood but worth the drive.

Well really what makes this park not the best is the lack of shade inside the dog park. Where is it? Dogs and dog owners need it especially in the sunshine state. 2 benches in the small dog park! I didn't count how many inside the big dog park. Along with a bench right outside the small dog park entrance! This doesn't make sense. I have no idea why they put it there. The benches were full already. I sat on the side walk! The grassy area is huge. That's good! There are dog bag stations, but the garbage is far from it. Poor placement in my opinion! The walk to the dog park is far-ish! I think the grassy area by the children's playground is better. At least we know it is here! Mocha Coconut was happy! He would rate this a five star with his frisbee!

Two dog parks separated by a divider

This medium sized dog park offers plenty of lush green grass for dogs to trollop around, a "kiddie" pool, and a hose for drinking and/or rinsing. The park is big enough for fetch, even for those "Chuckit" ball launchers. There is a divider between two equally sized dog parks with nearly identical layouts. Lacking signage, I did not know which side to go to, and with no other visitors, I just picked one. Seemed to work out just fine. Overall, it's a pretty good place to take your dog for a off leash run, and to socialize with other dogs. Something to note, there is little seating and shade for people. On the plus side, adjacent to the dog parks is a playground. so if you have children, they can play on the playground while you are at the dog park with a close watchfull eye.

Great dog park! There are a few more poop bombs than I'm used to at other parks but it probably has something to do with how big this one is. Lots of grass, a water supply, poop bags provided and a feW mutually shared tennis balls. There was only one other dog there at noon on a Tuesday, but the lady we met said that there are normally about 25 dogs there during the after-work hours.

Lots of open space for dogs to run and play!

Decent dog park tucked away in Logan's Gate neighborhood. Not a lot of shade as other reviewers mentioned but still plenty big and nice for my dog and me. We met several other friendly dogs and their owners. Everything was clean and well kept. After reading some reviews on here I was skeptical but this is nicer than your average dog park, and much bigger! I plan to come again.

My pup sky enjoying the park all to herself.

It was awesome! Very friendly people and very sweet dogs. The park was clean and very open. Beautiful area for the park!

Spacious and nice dog park. There's a playground and basketball court in front so you can bring your entire family for a fun day out.

Review Highlights - Logan Gate Dog Park

My husband and I had a marvelous time sitting in one of the numerous covered areas while watching our two frolic and play in the very spacious, very clean dog park.

I've been coming here consistently since July 2023, usually 4 to 6 days a week every single week,…read moreso this place has genuinely been a huge part of my routine and community. My Google review from a year ago gave this place five stars because it truly felt like an amazing space built around dogs, community, and responsible ownership. Looking back at that review now honestly makes the decline even more disappointing, because even just a year ago this place felt completely different in the best way. This place is supposed to be a safe and enjoyable environment for dogs and the people who love them. For many members, our dogs are family, and that's why the recent direction of the business has become genuinely heartbreaking and honestly alarming to watch. A growing number of members are becoming deeply uncomfortable with the decision to repeatedly host large rave-style events at a facility specifically designed for dogs. After previous events, there were already serious concerns about the condition of the property afterward, even after professional cleaning crews had supposedly finished. Members and staff still found debris throughout the space and parking lot and many people are now questioning whether any environment used for late-night parties like this can realistically ever be cleaned well enough to guarantee dogs are safe there afterward. Dogs spend their entire time at this facility with their noses on the ground, sniffing turf, licking surfaces, and putting things in their mouths. That is exactly what dogs do. The idea that dangerous substances, residue, pills, or other hazardous materials could potentially be missed during cleanup is terrifying for pet owners. One mistake could have DEVASTATING consequences for someone's dog. The best comparison I can make is this: imagine if a daycare hosted large rave parties at night and then told parents the next morning that everything had been cleaned and was safe again. Most parents would never feel comfortable with that. That is exactly how many dog owners are starting to feel here. What made this weekend especially upsetting was learning that the business was supposed to reopen after the latest event, only for members to then receive notice that the facility would remain closed due to cleanup issues, with uncertainty about reopening even the next day. That only reinforced concerns that these events are creating problems far beyond a normal private party. At the same time, members continue paying premium annual fees while receiving reduced operating hours, less access, ongoing inventory problems at the bar, and repeated closures tied to outside events. Many people joined because this was marketed as a community-centered space focused on dogs, safety and responsible ownership. Lately, it feels like those priorities are no longer coming first. I know several members who are already questioning whether they will renew their memberships because trust in the safety and direction of the business is starting to disappear.

After they separated, I remained close to my dogs to ensure they were not causing the problems which they weren't. Upon walking back towards the front of the park, the same dog owned by a tall heavyset blond woman and another person's dog, owner male both jumped my dog pinning my husky to the ground, while they both tried to bite him. Neither owner did anything to stop it. I had to get in there for them to stop attacking my dogs risking getting bit myself. After it was over, the female dog owner had the audacity to tell me I should take my dogs and go when it was her dog and the other dog's male owner that did nothing. Just stood there and watched. My husband had never had an issue at this park, but I refuse to go again and it's the closest park to our home. Photos of owners and dogs attached. I would highly advise against taking your dog into this park if they're around. Horrible and frightening experience with owners that did not care and did nothing to make it stop. The lady also persisted to laugh and make fun of me for being upset. I intend to file reports with animal control and spoke to a sheriff while at the park.

Now, I don't mind the walk because I am obviously there to get my dogs exercise but it is far enough away that by the time I get there my two small dogs are already dying of thirst and overheated. They do have a dog water faucet but for some reason, none of my dogs will every drink out of it, even the pair before my current set. I do have portable bowls but again, but they time we get there they are overheated and do not want to run around. Too bad the two size cages were both in the same area or parking was closer.
