Big park back in the cut off of Gunn hwy, you will go over many speed bumps. Once you get here though you see the size.... HUGE!!! There's a playground and BBall courts up front, the back is all dogs. The two side are separated by a gate in the middle and I assume one side is big dogs and the other side is small dogs. They have multiple doggy pools with water hoses. Lots of stations for getting doggy poop scooping bags. the pagodas have river rock around them to let the water from the pools drain easier there's a little area that looks like you could practice for one of those speed competitions with the obstacles. This is a great place to bring your dog. The people that were here seem nice and their dogs were happy to have somebody new to sniff.Lune took full advantage of a dirt pile they had in the back rolled around and then got back in the pool and cleaned off. read more

We found this hidden gem of a dog park. Our dogs absolutely love it. It is well maintained and the dog owners actually pick up after their pets. We use the small dog side. There are some nice picnic tables that are covered and a shady area in the back with another picnic table and a couple of benches. It is nice that the small dog side is as big as the large dog side. Other parks seem to have a smaller area for the small dogs. Our dogs prefer this park and are so excited when we get here. read more

Best around Tampa I've found so far. My dogs love real grass and it's lush and huge here. There's 2 separate gigantic parks for small/large breeds. Both sides have a watering hose. There's a playground and basketball court and BATHROOMS. Plenty of parking every time I go. It's tucked away in a neighborhood but worth the drive. read more

This is a great dog park with plenty of space for numerous dogs to run around. There's so much space that dogs who don't get along don't even have to be near each other. The park is split into under 30lbs and over 30lbs dogs, so you don't have to worry about rat dogs being smooshed by real dogs. I went there. There are three seating areas in the large dog area, two that are covered. (There are also two covered sitting areas in the small dog area.) There is a hose between the entrance/exit gates, so you can spray off your pooch before you leave. You might need to do this, because there is oftentimes a big muddy area where the kiddy pools are, which dogs flock to like moths to flame. It's really nice to have the pools provided, though. I've seen many dogs really enjoy having a spot to cool off. Also, there is a spigot you can use to fill the pools with fresh water and give your dog a drink. We haven't run across any unfriendly dogs or owners yet. Everyone seems pretty courteous and keeps their dogs in check. Obviously, it only takes one bad owner to ruin a play day. But, like I said, there's a lot of space, so you can try to go to one of the corners and play with your dog there. There is also a dog waste station right before you get to the gates. Definitely pick up a bag before you go in. Nobody likes to step in poop. read more

Well really what makes this park not the best is the lack of shade inside the dog park. Where is it? Dogs and dog owners need it especially in the sunshine state. 2 benches in the small dog park! I didn't count how many inside the big dog park. Along with a bench right outside the small dog park entrance! This doesn't make sense. I have no idea why they put it there. The benches were full already. I sat on the side walk! The grassy area is huge. That's good! There are dog bag stations, but the garbage is far from it. Poor placement in my opinion! The walk to the dog park is far-ish! I think the grassy area by the children's playground is better. At least we know it is here! Mocha Coconut was happy! I'm not sure why this dog park got such great reviews... in my opinion, we should review the park itself, not the people who go there! Anyways, there is practically no shade except a small shelter with only one bench. To get there, you must hike across another park and then through the dog park. Make sure to stay on the path because when I was there, the grass was littered with poop and had grown to about a foot high. Overall, it was OK and my dog was muddy and happy, but personally I wasn't very impressed. Will probably stick to West, Al Lopez, and Rowlett dog parks instead. PROS: It's in a nice neighborhood, lots of room to run, there's a hose to wash your pup, and separate big/small dog areas. CONS: Messy, unkempt, kind of boring (no fun things to jump or play on), and needs a few shaded picnic tables for human visitors. read more

This medium sized dog park offers plenty of lush green grass for dogs to trollop around, a "kiddie" pool, and a hose for drinking and/or rinsing. The park is big enough for fetch, even for those "Chuckit" ball launchers. There is a divider between two equally sized dog parks with nearly identical layouts. Lacking signage, I did not know which side to go to, and with no other visitors, I just picked one. Seemed to work out just fine. Overall, it's a pretty good place to take your dog for a off leash run, and to socialize with other dogs. Something to note, there is little seating and shade for people. On the plus side, adjacent to the dog parks is a playground. so if you have children, they can play on the playground while you are at the dog park with a close watchfull eye. read more

Lots of grass, a water supply, poop bags provided and a feW mutually shared tennis balls. There was only one other dog there at noon on a Tuesday, but the lady we met said that there are normally about 25 dogs there during the after-work hours. read more

We met several other friendly dogs and their owners. Everything was clean and well kept. Nice clean Dog Park. People are awesome! There's a lot of courtesy with people cleaning up after their dogs. Large areas separated for small dogs and large dogs. There are rinse stations and fresh drinking water resources. Overall, plenty of space for dogs to roam and people have donated "doggie pools" which is awesome as well. I am not an expert on dog parks, however I do get the occasional opportunity to watch my business partner's dogs when he's out of town. When that happens I like to load the girls into my SUV and bring them over to Logan Gate Dog Park. To get to this dog park you turn in off of Henderson Road and wind your way back through a quiet residential section until you end up on Monterrey Boulevard which eventually brings you to the park. This big fenced-in dog park is double-gated to prevent any of the pooches from escaping when you are entering / exiting the grounds. The park is basically a big open space for the dogs to run and play with other dogs, and most everyone was really good about picking up after their dogs and leaving the bags of waste in the conveniently-placed trash cans. I did notice a few piles of what can only be described as elephant-sized poop on the walkway, so please be very very careful where you step! My business partner has two dogs -- one is a 70 pound black Labrador who had a fantastic time running around the park at top speed and then rolling around in the grass and mud near the fountain. She had a lot of fun making friends with the other dogs and engaging them in some kind of canine Olympic sports. Bill's other dog is a little bitty red Pomeranian, and there was a separate fenced-in area for little dogs where Izzy could run around and then sprawl out to work on her tan. Kind of like the kiddy pool section of the park. Be aware that this park doesn't have a lot of creature comforts for humans. There was one small shelter with just a single bench. Thankfully I had a beach chair in the back of my SUV, so I was able to set that up and watch the girls play. When the dogs were done running around I was able to hose them both off, dry them with a towel, and then load them one-by-one into the back of my SUV. The Pom happily climbed her way up to the front seat and plopped her butt into my lap for the drive back to their home. All in all the dogs had a great time, and I was happy to find a place where they could run, play, and let off some steam. The neighbors were all very friendly, and whenever I have the opportunity I'll bring the dogs back there for another afternoon of running through the grass. read more

We are visiting the area to see if this may be a viable place to retire. We have two miniature schnauzers who tend to be a bit clingy. My husband and I had a marvelous time sitting in one of the numerous covered areas while watching our two frolic and play in the very spacious, very clean dog park. We were there on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded. There were pups there and they all seemed to get along well. The best part of this dog park is the space! We are coming from San Jose, CA that also had nice dog parks but were 1/4 of the size. This park allows dogs, big and small to enjoy spacious, contained areas to just run free. Logan Gate is about the nicest dog park in Hillsborough County. It's all grass with no mud or dirt. Wide open fields with 1.5 acres of open grass for the small dogs and 1.8 acres of open grass for larger dogs. The grass is mowed weekly and the facility is well-maintained. read more

Two very small bench areas to sit down (for humans) with very little shade. There is a water station to keep the pups hydrated and poop bags are provided. If you are in the area looking for a nice open space to let your dog (s) interact with other K9's I recommend visiting this dog park. If you are looking for a dog park with a place to sit down and relax while your dog plays or seeking reprieve from the brutal Florida sunshine for you and your 4 legged friend this is not your place. As long as it is not too hot out I recommend coming here. There is so little shade though I can't imagine it being pleasant for the dogs or the people during the hotter months. read more

I have to sit here in the small dog area with my pup sitting under me scared to run around and play because he don't want to get chased by a giant German Shepherd. After 1 year living in Tampa, my pooch finally got what he had been begging for-a trip to the dog park! I was following GPS to this park and thought "this must be wrong" because it's right in the middle of a neighborhood! Anyway, we get there and I thought "hmmmm" wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. BUT this is a DOG PARK not a human park, and my DOG loved it! The place is huge (but with limited parking) and there were two benches for humans to sit. There is also a small playground and basketball court-also for humans, I'm assuming :) They have a hose and some bowls for water breaks and bags/trashcans for poop. There were a few nice people there with dogs, and this park had the top 3 things every dog park should have: 1. separated into small dog/ big dog parks 2. double gate entry so no dogs can escape when someone enters/exits 3. high chain link fence all the way around with no gaps It was a fun, safe environment and we will definitely go back. I didn't give it 5 stars because there were no trees or bushes, just open grass. read more

Great dog park in a residential area. They have water fountains for your thirsty fur friend and a pool you can fill up. The had tennis balls you can play fetch with. Big open area for your dog to run free. It's nice because it doesn't get to crowded. They have two sections for small dogs and big dogs. They also have doggy bags to pick up any waste. The park is fairly clean and well kept. They only have two areas for shade with one bench each in each section of the park. They also have a kiddie park with swings and slides if you want to bring the kids along, in a separate area of course. As well as a basketball court great for everyone in your family to have fun especially your pup! Overall the space and cleanliness is what keeps me coming back, my dog loves it. read more

It's spacious, has 2 separate parks for big and small dogs. I love it! BUT, it's not getting 5 stars only because there is limited seating...and by limited I mean there are one bench per park. There's no shade for people or dogs & no obstacle course for the dogs. Other than that, I bring my dog here all the time. There really should be a gazebo or bigger shading/seats by the fence line at LEAST. read more

This is a pretty solid dog park. Tons of room for dogs of all sizes to have a good time. The small dog side might be a little big ( unless there's about 100 dogs at a time in there!) for just a few dogs but my two year old Sheltie was not complaining one bit. It seems to be pretty well kept which is always a plus. I can see where it could get uncomfortable on a really hot day as there is no shady spots whatsoever but I guess when it's that hot out , you shouldn't go. Ill be back for sure! read more

Logan Gate Dog Park is great park for your dog. Located in a nice neighborhood, there is plenty of room for your dog to run and play. The fenced in areas are large and plentiful. There are two fenced in areas, one for large dogs and another for small to medium dogs. There is also a shaded area for the humans as well as water fountains for both people and animals. There are also a couple bag stations so you can pick up after your pet. While I was expecting this park to be littered with doggie land mines, I was surprised when it wasn't. Most folks here pick up after their dog, which is wonderful especially if you frequent dog parks. The only reason I did not give a five star rating is because the shaded area for humans is on the small side. So, if the park is busy when you go, you may not get a chance to get yourself or your pet out of the sun for a few minutes. Overall, I do highly recommend Logan Gate Dog Park. It is one of the better parks in and around the Carrollwood area. And, your pet is going to love the room they'll have to run and play. read more

This is a nice big open dog park in the Carollhood burbs above Westchase. Part of a park with fields and a playground, the dog park inckudes two large fenced areas (one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs). Not much in the way of shade, but plenty of room to run. There was a kiddie swimming pool when we were there for dogbert to cool off as well as a water hose. Poop bags. What more could you ask for? read more

I love this dog park. Everyone is super nice and the dogs have a blast. Little to no shade for people, but who cares. We are there for the dogs! We have been going there since its first day it opened. I bring my Fletch and Suzi just about every Sunday to run and run. It is a great place for them to run... and bark. read more

Watch out for the psyho woman with the quite large pit bull that seems to think that it is a "right of passage" for her dog to stun, bite and generally attack your dog when you visit. She also has no care about what side she takes her dog to as she's caused issues on the small dog side as well. Her dog is not managed and is at least 80 pounds. Otherwise, in the other park, everyone was very receptive and supportive of first-timers. Everyone was also very aware of this nuisance woman... read more

This is a nice size dog park in a quiet neighborhood. They have a large and small dog area so you can pick and choose which one you want your dog to play in. While it's big and spacious with lots of room to run around there are a couple issues. There is no shade for dogs or owners, the sandy areas get super muddy when it rains, and my dog has been attacked there twice by dogs who's owners couldn't care less. A nice, well-kept open space for the dog to run. That's about it. There's a hose for all of your kiddie pool, water bowl and dog bath needs. A single bench under a little roof. And very attentive owners. I've never seen a dog fight but have had to move our 40 lb dog to the small dog area after she was roughed up a few times. I've noticed others take their senior large dogs to the small dog area as well. Should probably be called the chill and submissive dog area. Anyway, haven't been in awhile because holy craps does this park get hot due to the lack of shade. After 10 minutes of moderate play, my dog is toast and I've lost 30 pounds of water weight. I love how this park was off of a residential neighborhood and so there were lots of families around and all the dogs and people were really friendly. Everyone was really good at picking up after their dogs, and they have bags and a trash can there for you, and the grounds were huge. Plenty of space for them to run and a double gate was nice to keep them in--just in case. I also was super happy there was a little dog park, perfect for my 6lb Chihuahua. Negatives were that it was a little muddy around the water fountain and said water fountain did need to be replaced. There's nothing fancy about this park, its pretty basic and simple and the grass in the dog area is well groomed. I would go back again. read more

Love , love, love this dog park. It is very spacious and equal sizes for both big and small dogs. It is not very shady, so it is very hot in the summer. There are covered benches to sit under. The people are wonderful and thier dogs are well taken care of. It is a bit of a drive for me, but my dogs love going here. read more

This place is good to let the dog stretch it's legs. I find that it's not packed very often, however, it's not located in the best area. It is better than some of the other parks in the area though (ie al Lopez). Most dogs are friendly there too! I like that they have separate big and little okay areas. read more

Overall, this is a great park. I live less than a mile away, so I take my Basset Hound Riley to this dog park several times a week. I agree with many of the other posts. Everyone is friendly and they manage their dogs very well. There is a fence to separate the small dogs from the big dogs. There's a fountain with a hose to fill water bowls etc. There are 2 bench's on the big dog side and 2 bench's on the small dog side. There is also a bench directly outside of each gated area. This is a Hillsborough County park and the grass is cut by the county on a regularly scheduled date each week. It would be great to have a picnic bench and some shaded areas for the dog owners but overall it's a great social experience for your dog and their owners!!! read more

"logan dog park" is Great! Very nice lg side for big dogs , and a separate lg side for the small dogs, Both nicely fenced in. I have found this park is great to socialize your dog , So far all the dog owners are very responsible for there Dogs .(meaning they are watching and correcting there pet if any rough play needs to be addressed,) as well as picking up after there dogs! There are doggie bags available, water station ,benches to sit, and for the doggie owners you can walk the park to get your exercise too! I would recomend this park lots of grass. read more
