The only issue about the library why only 4 stars is because they open late at 10 am and close 5 pm and never opened on weekends. They also don't charge you to use the internet if you are not a native which is great. Other than that if you are on vacation and don't have internet access and need a place to research if your Android or iPhone has limitations please come to this Library in Clearwater Beach Florida. Note Seldom do I ever write reviews on Local Libraries but I guess this is the 1st.

The staff was friendly and there is a welcoming feel about the library. It is in a historically African American community and its collection emphasizes African American history. There are games, puzzles, and Legos for families wanting to play. Also some art and coloring supplies. There are some good community events and historical resources. Computers. Nice place to read or relax. The community also has a nearby recreation center with pool and slides and an African American history museum in a former school that has limited hours Tuesdays and Saturdays as well as other times by appointment. They also have a section for local Floridian authors, along with guides to the state of Florida and different cities, which is super relevant for visitors to the shop. Along with books, they have other knick-knacks, some book-themed and some just for fun. There are socks, shirts, book-themed book bags, puzzles and more. I would say the prices aren't the best but they aren't quite as bad as going to a Barnes & Noble or Books-a-million type book shop. And i'd much rather support a small business paying a price like that than the big chains. They do also have a used book section that has cheaper books so that can be another nice option. I did call the City Managers to let them know and they took my name and said someone would get back to me. We will see.... If my phone at work was not answered during business hours (and I work for the schools) heads would roll.... No one should be left in the Q (on hold) without and explanation...
