Right when you walk in this book store has such a warm inviting vibe! The layout is nice and the selection is impressive. Located right in the heart of Dunedin you can't help but check it out while walking or biking around. This book store has something for everybody of every age and even little gifts you can pick up for the person you have no idea what to get. Stop in for that special read or for some nostalgia but definitely stop

This episode of#bestiesbeveragesandbookstores is a special one for those who think the perfect drink to sip on while chatting about books is a margarita while munching on chips and salsa! In Dunedin we ventured to @backinthedaybooks and although they do not sell beverages, next door is @casatinas an authentic Mexican restaurant!! I mean how perfect is this?! The bookstore itself was so fun and had a mix of new and used books along with other fun merchandise. Walking in you see the book ladder which I became obsessed with and wanted to have an impromptu Belle moment (the willpower it took to not do it was intense friends). It was such a fun shop and one I DEF will be returning too. I'll just make sure to come with an empty stomach too...

This shop used to be up near me in Tarpon, but they've since relocated to Dunedin. It's a lovely little used bookstore that has an amazing selection. There are some new books too, along with autographed first editions and other things of interest. it's a great stop in you're eating in a place near by, or just walking the town.

Back in the Day Books is a store for readers. I found an interesting mix of new bestsellers and vintage books. A section for vintage pulp fiction and children's picture books. I love visiting this store. I can't wait to return.

Cute little bookshop for book lovers. Prices are of course slightly higher due to this being a small business. They had lots of popular and recently published titles. The shop was very clean. I felt welcomed to browse as well. That is a bookworm's favorite thing to do among books.

I love visiting small, local bookstores and Back In The Day was such a hidden gem in the Clearwater area. They had a nice selection of books, puzzles, adult coloring books, tee shirts, and more. I was surprised at the selections because they had quite a few new releases that I've had my eye on, but didn't want to buy online. Local bookstores don't get the volume discount that chain stores and A**z*n gets, so I knew the prices would be full retail value but that's fine since I'd prefer to support local businesses when possible. I bought two books that I have on my TBR but I could've bought several more. Also, I appreciate that masks are required for staff and customers - I'd much rather shop at places that protect everyone. :) This is such a lovely shop and I would absolutely return if in the area again.

Cute bookstore in Downton Dunedin! I usually read books on my Kindle, but decided I was in the mood to hold some books again. I didn't want to order off Amazon, so I sought out a local bookstore in town. Local bookstores in Tampa are harder to find than I thought it would be! Back in the Day has a perfect assortment of classics and popular new releases. Glad I found this hidden gem bookstore.

Great little independent bookstore! Since I'm going to Key West, I bought a Hemingway book. I liked the mix of old and new books.

Oxford Exchange - French toast

The building is beautiful; you pass thru an unusual (in a good way) bookstore, candle pour bar,…read morecoffee bar, tea bar, a gift shop with very unique items, & then into the restaurant. Paintings adorn the walls inside, but you can also dine in the "outside patio" with a glass ceiling overhead & lots of plants around. Our server, Cami, was pleasant & gave us time to peruse the menu. The option of breakfast served all day was a surprise. We decided to try three appetizers: the whipped feta, buttermilk fried chicken & fried Brussel sprouts. A glass of sangria & iced tea for beverages. Everything was delicious & exceeded our expectations. Cami checked on us regularly asking if we'd like to order anything else. Would definitely put the Oxford Exchange at the top of our restaurant list when going across the bridge to Tampa. Already thinking about the French toast for the next visit.

Oh my goodness, where do I begin? Oxford Exchange was such a great experience from start to finish…read more It's way more than just a restaurant -- it's a bookstore, coffee bar, candle-making area, champagne bar (perfect for a girls' day or bachelorette outing), and a cute gift shop with little trinkets and goodies. The entire space has a lively but still relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay and explore. We stopped in for breakfast and everything was excellent. Our table ordered the Brussels sprouts, avocado toast, French toast, a pot of tea, and an Old Fashioned, and the total came to about $87. The French toast was honestly some of the best I've ever had. Service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made the experience even better. After breakfast, we walked around and checked out the rest of the property, including the upstairs seating area and additional spaces. There's so much to see here that it feels like an experience more than just a meal. One tip: definitely make a reservation ahead of time because it stayed packed the entire time we were there. Can't wait to come back!
