Alligator look out and watching is a must in the low portion and the bridge. Do not approach them! There's also a disc golf course on the western side of the park with ample parking and easy access for ADA folks, like me! I do use this park to start my bike rides on the Pinellas Trail and that's another reason to just go out and enjoy it. It's right next to the Pinellas Trail and good to mention the "Rails to Trails Conservancy" here! So glad to be a small part! There's a huge playground for children of all ages and a place to eat a nice picnic lunch underneath a nice open shelter. It's well patrolled by the friendly park ranger team and they are always out cleaning and repairing the park. Largo PD and the PCSO drives through a few times a day and this keeps the place quiet and calm. Beautiful place to calm the soul! Just Breathe!

My SIL has lived in the area for years, and knowing how much I love exploring nature near and far, she recommended a visit to this gem of a park only 10-15 minutes from her home. PERFECT choice!! We didn't have a ton of time, but squeezed in a FINE early morning walk around the lake, and I confess I slowed her down taking TONS of pictures (as usual...) because even though it's far from "wilderness," it's a great spot to see lots of nature and wildlife (no alligators this visit!!) and get away from the hustle and bustle normally part of my visit down to the Clearwater area. So many beautiful birds!! There's a well-marked trail around the lake, passing by picnic areas, playgrounds, disc golf courses, and more. Wish I had more time to explore, but at least I know where to go to "decompress" next time I'm down in this area. Definitely worth a visit... Enjoy!!

As visitors here…read moreon vacation sadly Clearwater didn't have a lot to offer since the temps were low eliminating water sports. But on our last day here we were glad to find this place. It offers a multitude of games to play and some alcoholic beverages of beers and things along that line. The environment, from door to bathroom was very clean and welcoming. And the cost, the Viator experience cost $100 for 2 for a 90 minute experience. We are very competitive and got the hang of the are throwing rather quickly. The experience has led us to want to play when we return home. They also offer nights for teachers, which I am, first responders, veterans, etc. If you're ever in Clearwater, stop in and throw a few around.

The staff member "Sumner" was professional, kind and patient. He explained everything as many times as we needed, offered support, cheered us on and even broke up a friendly tit for tat between a mom and daughter -rivals as they were winning against eachother. He offered an array of drink selections for a fee to complete the night. We will deffinatly be back!!! Sumner, thank for being so helpful. A fun and successful night! A MUST DO!!!

Now there is a lot of amenities here at the aquatic center but the two big slides in the corner are little rocky. We decided to go down the waterslides when we first got there and noticed that both have flaws. There are wasp nests underneath the slides so you do see tons of wasp flying around. The swirl slide we took moves really slow so you have to push yourself at some point to keep moving forward down the slide. People were coming down quickly after you would get off the slides they got kind of close to landing in the water by us. The straight down slide you catch air midway, especially for a little kids you kinda stopped, touching the slide at one point. Now for the smaller kid area it was perfect for my five year old. They had little slides over there and even a medium kid slide as soon as you walk up nice splash pad a lot more slow pace and relaxing. they do have lifejackets there if needed for children. They also have a café where they serve Domino's Pizza and other snacks and drink options which we did get some Gatorade's and a whole Domino's Pizza, and for the price it wasn't bad.

Clearwater Point Beach has no visible signage from Gulf Boulevard and is surrounded by Condos so you kinda have to know about it to go. Clearwater Point Beach is located on the southeast tip of the famous Clearwater Beach Island by Clearwater Pass and is renown for it's quiet and peaceful location unlike it's busy sister beach just a couple blocks north. Enjoy watching the pirate ship, fishing boats, recreational boats, and dolphins swim by on Clearwater Point's secluded beach. You can see the Clearwater Pass Bridge and Causeway Bridge. There is plenty of free street parking available on South Gulfview Boulevard. Clearwater Point Beach is a private beach which borders Admiral House, Beach House, Gulf House, and Island House Condominiums. If you're lucky enough to know someone at one of these condominiums you can access foot showers, bathrooms, pool, and a hot tub. However, there are no public showers or bathrooms available to the general public. You can get a great view of this beach from Clearwater Pass bridge. I highly recommend visiting this beach if you have friends at the neighboring condominums, are dropping anchor on a boat, or if you want to book a vacation rental at a condo on this beach. There's only residential condominums on this beach and no waterfront restaurants or bars. However, there are lots of waterfront restaurant and bars just a couple blocks north of this beach, at Clearwater Beach.
