My car broke down while visiting Brooklyn and was worried about getting the car towed back to Jersey from a town I was not familiar with and that this would be a 60 mile plus round trip tow. Louie is a fantastic guy who helped me out of a pinch when my alternator died. He is friendly and helpful and charges a reasonable cost for a tow. I called and he arrived within the ETA he gave on the phone, which i really appreciated because some people will blow smoke up your butt and promise to come asap but then take hours. Louie told me twenty minutes and he was hooking up my car in eighteen. He's got an awesome rig with all the toys for car trouble, having a jack, air compressor, and even a spare can of gas for when you just dont make it to the station after sitting in traffic on the BQE. Louie is the only guy ill call from here on out whether its for my car or the truck i sometimes drive for work. where do i start? i've got a 4 month old daughter, early this evening i had to quickly run and drop her off to eat, i went in too, left the car outside with the blinkers on. forgot . . . dead battery . . . called a car service for a jump, they put the cables on backwards and totally fried my car. i did some quick research and called Louie. he came right away, called me when he was outside, and before towing my car tried to jump me, didn;'t work, tried to further diagnose the problem, even letting me use his own fuse from his emergency light. when nothing worked (but we did understand the problem better), he towed my car to Holyland Auto Repair on union (great place!), and even very kindly gave me a ride back home. reasonably priced, excellent service, very good person, thank you Louie! Louie is an amazing person! He literary saved me today from the disaster that happened to me in Navy Yard. I've been waiting for this F***ATT road assistance service and their towing company called Quality Automotive (i don't know why they even call themselves this name!) for 4 hours! The guys kept promising and postponing and never showed up. I spend 5 hours in Navy Yard waiting because they were BSing me before I finally found Louie. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LOUIE!!! I was in an accident on the Jackie Robinson parkway late on a Sunday evening and my wife (who was not in the car) started googling towing companies as the car was too damaged to drive off. My wife got in touch with Louie and his towing company and he walked her very calmly through what would happen from the police coming to him picking me up. Neither of us had been in a car accident before and apparently there are different protocols for highways and smaller roads and Louie explained everything really thoroughly. Saved by Louie twice. My custom Jaguar fuel pump went dead late on a Sunday evening in Greenwich Village. I just didn't know what to do since everything was closed. Nick, a friend of mine who sometimes works on my car said I should call Louie for towing. Even though he was sick with the flu when I called, Louie still made the effort to help me out and come all the way to Manhattan. I was early to a client meeting, so I decided to wait in my car and do some work. I sat in the car, AC off, radio on. Since I did not want to leave the car idling, I turned off the engine. Big mistake. Although I didn't realize it, I had let the battery run down. So after leaving and coming back and aiming to turn the car on, the engine wouldn't turn. I couldn't figure out what to do so I did a Google search in the Dumbo area for Car Jump Start. I found Louie and his almost perfect ratings everywhere. I call him and he said he'd be there in an hour. He was there in 57 minutes. He got me up and running minutes later. He even refused to take a tip. Very fair price. Very fast service. I got my BMW motorcycle towed for an expired inspection last week. As I sat at the Navy Yard towpound the cops told me that i needed a tow truck to take my bike out since they wouldn't let me drive it with an expired inspection. I called around some of the local dealers and they referred me to Louie. I called Louie and chance would have it that he was walking into the towpound at that very moment. I recieved a flat tire at 2 in the morning. I tried to change it myself but thanks to the cheap inopparable car jack jeep gives you that was nearly impossible. So i called 13 "24 hours" tow and roadside assistant places and 11 did not anserw and the other two would not give the time of day beacuse i was slightly out of the way. Finally I got intouch with louie and he was promot to act. Said he would be there in 30 minutes. It took him not more than 20. He resolved the problem in a profesinal yet swift manor. Leaving for work at 6am, my car wouldn't start and I was parked on the wrong side of alternate side cleaning. I remembered a friend calling Louie when she needed a tow and how he came and helped her with everything. He was highly recommended so I called him. He came within 1/2 hour after I called and hooked up the car quickly. He brought me to my mechanic and took excellent care of my car. We had a nice conversation on the way there and made me feel relaxed and not stressed about the situation. First I would like to say that his service is excellent. Called his company around 3 am because my car got stuck. Gave him location of where my car was. He told me he should be at location in 45 minutes. How far car was from my house, told him I would have to take a cab. He asked for my address and said he would have to pass by close to where I live and that he would pick me up. He called me 15 minutes later I thought he was outside my house. No he stop by a Dunkin Donuts and was getting coffee, he called me to find out if I wanted a coffee. This is the first time I had to call a tow truck company and it was a great experience. Louie saved a damsel in distress! Yesterday was Mothers Day and after a wonderful day in Brooklyn I headed home to NJ via the Manhattan Bridge. My car conked out on Flatbush Extension and Tillary just after driving over a huge hole in the road. It was 10:30pm. I called "AAA" and after 1.5 hours they told me that no towing companies in Brooklyn wanted to tow my car to NJ. WHAT?? "AAA" advised me to call a local towing company and they'd reimburse me. Louie was a Christmas miracle! We tried to jump our car today (Christmas Eve!) and it wouldn't start so we called Louie for a tow to an auto-shop. He came exactly when he said he would and gave us a courtesy call when he was close. Then he looked at the battery and determined that we didn't need the more expensive tow service we requested, he could just use a high voltage jump for a fraction of the price. I recommend this guy, all the way. We called him after midnight--he's an owner/operator, answers the phone himself, nice guy--and he was able to get our car from Brooklyn to our mechanic in Queens. Here's where it gets good. Obviously, our mechanic is closed, it's after midnight. So Louie looks around under the hood, just trying to help, notices a loose wire, tightens it, the car suddenly works, order in the universe restored. We just hired him to tow our car, but he ended up saving us a visit to the mechanic.
