As a business owner, I know it's illegal in NYC for a towing company to refuse credit cards. After I contacted the authorities, they reminded the company of the applicable laws. Only then did Justin's Towing release my car, and I paid the correct amount: $136.50 by credit card. If your car is ever towed by this company, have your nearest precinct on speed dial and let them know if the company refuses lawful payment methods. Absolutely terrible experience with Justin's Towing NYC. My car was wrongfully towed under the false claim that it was in a fire lane/yellow zone--yet as my photo evidence clearly shows, that was completely untrue. When I asked for the Authorization to Tow (which they are legally required to provide), their employee refused and even spit on me--yes, actually spit on me. Completely unprofessional and disgusting behavior. I had to pay for a tow that should have never happened, and when I demanded a refund, they ignored me. My car was towed on Saturday. I learned that even blocking 5 inches of the curb of a driveway is still a violation. So I called Justin Towing next Sunday morning, a day off for them. They graciously told me that I could go and take my car. Someone with a very courteous and outgoing personality was waiting for me. He even used a flatbed truck to remove a vehicle blocking my car. He drove my car out of their parking lot. For this overall excellent service, I tried to tip him $20 which he respectfully refused to accept. I give them 5 stars and the highest appreciation. ZERO STARS if I could. This company is a complete joke. They advertise themselves as a 24/7 service, but that is blatantly false. I've been trying to reach them for over six months, and not once has anyone picked up the phone. Calls are deliberately ended, texts are ignored, and their voicemail is always full -- a clear sign they have no intention of doing their job. They're supposedly assigned to handle illegal parking at my building, yet they are utterly useless. What's the point of claiming round-the-clock service if no one answers at 11 p.m., midnight, or even during the day? On the rare occasion someone does answer, they make empty promises to "look into it" -- and then nothing happens. Ever. This company is completely unreliable, unprofessional, and frankly, a waste of time. Do not bother calling. Do not waste your energy expecting any real service. This company was hired by ride aid to tow your car away If you are not a customer of the store but in my case I was a customer , My son was inside the store while I crossed the street to pick up something , in less than 5 minutes they took my car away , They obviously have someone watching to see if you are going somewhere else , great !! they towed my car away to their garage , I have my receipts that I was a customer but to be honest what a great idea , they found the perfect way to rip people off , now I have to bother myself to hire a lawyer and suit this company and ride aid for doing illegal practices , the sign outside says RIDE AID CUSTOMER ONLY !! Worst towing company ever. They dropped my car off the truck while being towed and then tried to cover it up. I can visually see the damage but they say it wasn't them. My wife and I broke down in the center lane of Woodhaven Blvd, and were almost rear ended by the speeding drivers not paying attention to my emergency flashing lights. Contacted various towing services, but it was a wait of between 45 to 90 minutes. Contacted Justin's Towing and within 20 minutes, Tony showed up asked if we were okay, and inquired about the the car problem. Tony hooked up the car, and drove us to the mechanic dropped the car and then dropped us home 2 blocks away. Tony is a true professional, asked if we needed to contact anyone, or stop at the bank, presented his business card and branded his company...Justin's Towing! I can recommend Justin's Towing hands down and ask for Tony...the other drivers may be just as professional as Tony...but Tony is the only one we met, and if we should ever need to be towed, you can be sure we will ask for Tony and call Justin's Towing. read more

Scammers...do not use this service. They prey on people who park in store parking lots, where they wait until they leave their car, then tow it. They demand cash up front, claim they don't take credit cards, while they have your car on their tow truck. I am about to make several contacts to ensure they are dealt with. Be careful if you shop at the food bazaar in Ridgewood on gates av. They have some man sit in a van or car all day and illegally wait and watch for you to leave the lot (even if you shop at the store first) and once you do, the guy calls to his tow truck driver who is parked near by to come tow you. Thankfully some guy was there warning people last week. He was waiting at the entrance for hours and was warning people of what they were up to including myself. Bless his heart. This business was recently hired by Rite Aid on Rockaway Blvd in Queens to tow away cars parked illegally. On the very first day of working with Rite Aid they towed my husband's car even though he was at Rite Aid to get his flu shot! My husband had to ultimately pay $136 because they wouldn't release his car otherwise. We have the receipts from Rite Aid with the time stamped and everything. I called the district manager of Rite Aid who asked this company to give us a call so we can get our money back and they are NOT calling us. What gives? You would think this business would want to call back and make a wrong right but I AM STILL WAITING TO HEAR FROM THEM. Had someone blocking my driveway this morning. I got the police to give the car a ticket and then called Justin's to have them remove the car. Justin told me the tow truck would be there in 30. Two hours later the truck still had not shown up and the car was still blocking my driveway. I called multiple times during this period to get an ETA and all Justin could tell me was that it would be there "very soon, there's traffic bro". Considering Justin's is only a 25 minute drive from my house WITH TRAFFIC, this excuse was pure BS. I had to call another tow company to get the job done. Never will I use Justin's again. read more

But they just pull and see who they can get and then take cash only like the scamming business they are. I saw the scammer then come back and try to take a car with a kid in it. I would give 0 stars if I could. They use a "look out" guy to find cars in nearby stores (CVS, Rite Aid) they randomly decide to tow. The manager of the store specifically told me she had nothing to do with the car tow. So she did not call it in. Justin's apparently can just tow any car when they want to, regardless if you are in the store or not. I would call them scam artists, but there usually requires some sort of creativity with scams, Justin's are just thieves. I will NEVER go to CVS or Rite Aid on Liberty Ave ever again. I would encourage others to stay away as well, as they seem to not give a crap about the fact that the towing company they use is robbing their customers. After waiting for 3 1/2 hours on the side of the road for the towing company I was referred to from my credit card company (Kimberly's Towing, avoid at all costs!!), I called Justin. He said he would be there in 20-25 minutes, 19 minutes later he pulled up behind me. Very nice guy, made the process quick and easy. Justin restored my faith in humanity with honesty (finally not a typical NY scumbag). I even felt compelled to tip him (which he tried to refuse) but I insisted and he graciously accepted.
