There is a structure with shaded tables and bathrooms that can be rented for parties through the fairfax park site. If you do have a party there, it is a short and stroller friendly walk to the area with the picnic tables from the parking lot. Besides parking right by the soccer field/picnic table area and there's more parking across the street too. That parking area is by the water with ducks, geese, turtles, cranes and other wildlife. This is a great small neighborhood park, not something you travel far to see, but really great to have nearby for a short stroll and play sports at.

I love…read morehow for years, despite the town and county's plans to tear up the fields, trees, and wildlife for more and more data centers and townhouses for a never-ending, growing population, one thing has been constant and that's this small park. I've come here for years and despite possibly making a fool of myself with this statement, I must say this park is one of my top spots to visit even as a man in his thirties. There's a feeling of peace when walking the perimeter of the pond and being able to listen to the bugs, ducks, and toads over the now usual sound of passing vehicles, their horns as well as builder/landscaper equipment. There is parking on the side of the street and trash can facilities for those who know how to dispose of their waste correctly. They added doggie bags for dog walkers and i always notice on my visits the many walkers and joggers that want to excercise while also taking in the beauty of this nature preserve. I can only pray the Ashburn community can continue to prevent the property developers (responsible for the thousands of townhouses and data centers) from destroying this park for another complex.
