It's a dog park near a residential neighborhood. Ample parking space off leash area has grown trees so bring bug spray when you go,you will thank me later. Shaded area underneath the trees. Water supply via a hosed faucet where all the dogs gather for refreshment. Outdoor potty area for humans by the parking area. read more

Fifth time at this park today and my dog was attacked. It took about 15 minutes but from the instant we walked through the gate, the owner was yelling at his dog and warning him to "back off". Just incredible that aggressive dog owners bring their furry friends to a dog park. A shame because the up until this incident, we'd had an enjoyable time here. If you see a man with a tawny-colored medium sized dog named "Gus", don't take the risk-leave immediately. read more

The crowd was a great mix of dogs. Plenty of room to thow balls, crowd by the double gates and they had poop bags on site with trashcans nearby. We popped by this dog park to let our pup run out energy from the car right, before we arrive at our friends house for the rest of the night. It's gravel with uneven dirt as the base. Double gates when you enter. Free, open easy access parking steps away from the gate. I would recommend this park if you are looking for a gated dog park that has active users. read more

Honestly this is one of the better dog parks I've been to in the area. For the most part, people seem to pay attention to their pets. I haven't had any issues with aggressive dogs, or any dog fights over the past 8/9 Months I've been coming here. I have seen a few owners that suddenly become busy as soon as their dog starts to do their business, but that's on the owners not the park. This park is about 1/2-2/3 dirt, although that seems to be the case with all of the dog parks in VA. Just be aware, in case it's rained recently--it does get muddy. I do like the water pump feature, which provides water for the pups, so you don't have to remember to bring your own! read more

This dog park is simply... okay. Definitely could use some improvements. The grounds are just dirt which gets kicked up when the dogs run around and you can see the puffs of dirt float towards your face. Plus a lot of the owners don't seem to pick up after their pups so you're constantly checking your shoes to make sure you haven't stepped in any poop. Bad pet owners are to blame for that though. But the park is to blame for trash cans filled past the brim with poop bags. You have to try to balance your pet's poop bag atop the mountain of bags in the trash. Yuck. Also note that the water hose is apparently just for display because it does not work. Bring your own water for your pup. read more

Chandon Park is a large park with plenty of shade, and agility ramp, water pump and separate area for smaller dogs. It can get pretty dusty or muddy though. Water pump and bowl available - fresh water always available for pups at the park. My only complaint is people bringing children into the dog park. It's a dog park, dogs jump and run - that's what the park is for, and having small kids present who run away from dogs (most dogs think this is a game), makes it stressful as a dog owner to have to limit my dog's activities. I wish parents of kids would consider standing outside the fence line with small children instead of bringing them into the dog park. Otherwise, the park is great. Ample space to run around, lots of shade, and never seems to be overcrowded. My pup loves it here. Multiple benches for owners to take breaks. read more

Great dog park, but beware of a patron I met this week. We have been going to this dog park for about 1 year; most people and dogs are great but there was an Asian man with a medium sized white dog named Maggie there on Tuesday 4/6/21 who attacked my dog Kip unprovoked. When we walked to the front gates this white dog Maggie got overexcited and started snarling a little, so we said to the owner we would go in the back. He said yeah sure she's just hyper today- as soon as we walked into the back gates his dog started after my Kip who tried to walk away but was scratched, bitten, and thrown about on the ground. Thankfully the damage wasn't severe, but to compound the situation the owner of Maggie began swearing and yelling at us; being very aggressive. Posting this review as a warning because an aggressive dog (and human) like that doesn't belong in a public park. read more

Love this dog park. The "regulars" are so warm and friendly and their people are great too. There is a lot of room for the dogs to run with trees throughout the yard. A small area in the back allows for small dogs to play safely. The sandy ground soaks up water quickly so after a big rain, it's not a big mess. read more

Nice park but unfortunately my dog had an unprovoked attack last week so I will not be taking her there anymore. The lady grabbed her dog and left and would not give me any information besides her first name/email address. Her dog has attacked other dogs there. Middle age women with a German Shepard. My dog is only 35# and could have been seriously hurt. I know it's always a risk but if you know your dog has attacked before then don't go to a dog park. read more

Large dog park with ample parking. The lot is all dirt so don't wear anything you care about to the park. There's plenty of room for dogs to run out excess energy and old toys and balls for them to chase. The water is shut off during the winter so make sure to bring some for your pup. I've only encountered friendly dog owners thus far and hoping it stays that way. read more

This dog park is terrible. It could use a bit of work overall to make it look nicer (also it does back up to some kind of industrial park which is not pleasant), however my main complaint is the huge stretches of poison ivy ! Almost the entire back fence & surrounding area is covered in it. I didn't realize what it was until my dogs were already wading in it -- I left immediately & thankfully had a bottle of Dawn soap at home which I used to bathe them. Crossing my fingers that I won't break out in a rash tomorrow. I wouldn't recommend this park unless you are immune to poison ivy & don't mind sort of a dumpy view. It's much more worth your while to go the few extra miles to Baron Cameron Dog Park or Vienna Dog Park, both of which are lovely. read more

My dogs had a great play in this park The trees give it a natural setting as well as providing shade They preferred this to other dog parks that are just large squares of fenced land I am sue that after rain it is very muddy as the ground is mostly dirt and sand There is a little grass There were no other dogs midday Area seemed clean lots of bags available and water There is also a small separate section for small dogs Do not use Wayze to find this park! We visited this park a few weeks ago, and our puppy, Ryder enjoyed it. It has a mix of sand, dirt and grass. There are a few agility pieces which is a cool bonus. We went at a time when there were no other dogs there at first, but soon 2 small dogs joined us. I can see it being a great place when there are more dogs there to socialize. read more

Both my dog and i love this place. It had great shade for when it's hot and tons of space to run and play.

I just discovered this dog park near my apartment complex (a 2.5 mile walk) and was pretty satisfied with it. It's a decent size that allows lots of dogs to play without overcrowding. There is a small area for smaller dogs and the bigger area for all dogs. There are remnants of a few obstacle course features and a de benches. I also saw a small plastic swimming pool and a hose for the hot summer days. Someone told me the water to the hose gets shut off in the colder months but it's pretty convenient to have water available at the park. I love that there's TONS of shaded areas and that there is a mixture of grass and dirt in the fenced area. We've found our new off-leash play area! read more
