This dog park is a low frills nice big area for dogs to roam and play off leash. There are two entrances, one if which has bags (to clean up after your pooch) and several jugs of water in case you forget to bring your own. There were about ten dogs and their people there today, all of whom were nice and playful. My pup had a blast romping around! I look forward to coming back when it's a little less muddy however.

Blake lane dog park has done a great job of filling their dog park with grass. I came about three months ago with my dog and it was completely dirt, but they have done a 180 and it's about 90% grass now. Def will be bringing my dog back more often. Plenty of dog owners have left toys and water dishes for dogs as well as left bags to pick up after your dog.

Plenty of room for the dogs to run around!

Review Highlights - Blake Lane Dog Park

The park is small, but large enough for the dogs to be able to romp, has water bowls (but no running water, make sure to bring your own!!) and a few toys.

This is a smaller neighborhood type park with a pretty good trail and more of a legit woods feel in…read moreplaces than a lot of suburban trails while also being right in people's backyards in other places. It's only a few miles long and there wasn't any parking to speak of on Etsel Road so I just parked on the street in the neighborhood and didn't get towed or anything so I guess it's fine. You can also take the trail into Fairfax City and get something to eat or whatever. They also have a coyote warning sign but I didn't see any, not sure if I should be disappointed and grateful! This is a worth checking out if you're in the area and have an hour or so to spend going for a walk.

It's a nice place if in the area. Admittedly still saddened, that Army Navy Golf Course developed…read morethe land it bought, taking away some of the woods that used to exist here. Yes it was their property, but the bike hills and rope swing were so much fun. This is still a good neighborhood park. It connects Old Lee Hills with Fairview, and the paths are well maintained. You'll enjoy hiking your dog here, or biking through it. There is a lot of wildlife in here. It's a nice spot to see deer, or other animals who do coexist with us. There's a stream with small fish too. Hoping the city will always maintain this so well, along with volunteers who lovingly handle invasive plants. There are some benches too. I recommend sitting here and relaxing sometimes. It's healthy and a good place for it.

If you drive past the yellow Hunter House and curve right to the last parking lot, you'll find the entrance to a giant soccer/lacrosse multi-purpose field. The wooded trails here are nice and will take you back toward the softball fields and Curry Field (artificial turf). Nottoway has restrooms near the picnic area (which has a playground that's nice for kids). On the other side, you'll see two more baseball fields and then a series of tennis courts in the distance. I have nice memories of this park when my two sons (15 years, 13 years) played on the baseball fields for Vienna Little League. I think a highlight of this park is that it is not overly crowded on Saturday afternoons.

It's kind of a ho hum park. Sometimes they do have a festival, which can add life to it. Yet mostly…read morethis is for baseball fields. Here you can get folks in a pickup game, if a organization doesn't have a field permit. I like the open space though, and am glad it's not more multi million dollar houses. There are also tennis and basketball courts. The trails here aren't anything special, but glad they exist. All of the facility, to include the bathrooms are super clean. They have pavilions for picnics and the like. There's plenty of parking as well. It won't win any awards, but it's here for you to try some sports or kite flying out.
