Amazing! Greeted as soon as we came in. Stated we were there to get my guys daughter her first reeds for the clarinet for starting band. The excitement the two employees had about it made me feel like this will be our music store for the duration of music needs for both kids. She also was excited because he took a moment to explain the differences in reeds to her and how delicate they are. We looked around at the store which is more than what meets the eye from outside that's for sure! Huge selection of a variety of instruments They even have a store dog Shadow who didn't even make his presence known until we were leaving and we caught him out of the corner of our eye. The staff is super nice and the prices weren't bad at all! If you have a music bug you need to stop by this local shop!

The Team made me feel at home, relaxed and were exceptionally helpful in helping me pick out the perfect Ukulele. They also helped me with a tuner and gave me a few pointers. I then returned again a few months after the purchase and they helped me with adding buttons for a strap. Thanks to their support I am able to enjoy my Ukulele. The entire team was professional, personal and extermly helpful. Thank you for all your help. Scott

    Pick a violin...how about a pink one?

Enjoyed the relocated Loud and Clear store. Layout flows and a huge variety of instruments -- egg shakers to melodicas to sopranino ukuleles to acoustic/electric guitars and many more! Super friendly staff who checked in on us periodically! (Added bonus for my birthday) Thank you Derek and Forrest!

Husband trying out an electric guitar on consignment at L&C

I always enjoy my trips to L&C! The manager Sean is friendly, knowledgeable and always steers me in the right direction. He is an expert in guitars, bass', amps, drums, etc.--I know first hand because I've purchased all these things (and more) from him. I love the variety and constantly changing inventory of musical equipment that their consignment section offers. It makes this store addicting--because you never know what instrument or amp might show up on their shelf. Another major bonus of L&C is that it is locally owned by two locally grown, community-driven individuals. Neville and Marie put their hearts and their souls into their store daily to create a friendly environment that welcomes all--musicians and non-musicians alike!

    Guitars Cole Clark

I had such an awesome experience here. I live 80 miles away, and this little music store is the only Cole Clark guitar dealer in Northern California. I had been trying to track down a Cole Clark for 10+ years. I talked to them before showing up, came in amongst all this covid madness and was welcomed like family. Wore my mask, jammed for a bit, and went home with a new Cole Clark angel that sounds amazing for a very fair price. We gotta keep places like this in business folks, it's such a more rewarding and human experience than the big box stores.

The $100 Strat copy that is actually not that bad.

Very friendly people working there. Thank you! They sell clarinet reeds, too, which saved me from having to drive all the way to Petaluma.

Our daughter has grown so much under her guidance--not just in skill, but in confidence and her emotional connection to music. Danielle is thoughtful and responsive in her teaching style. She meets students where they are, while gently challenging them to grow. It's clear she invests deeply in their progress, and her encouragement has made a real difference for our daughter who has been with Danielle for 2-3 years now. Whether online or in person, she creates a structured, supportive, and inspiring space to learn. She balances music theory and foundational piano with flexibility, making lessons both meaningful and motivating. We're so grateful to have found her. Danielle is a gem, and we can't recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for a teacher who is both incredibly skilled, patient, and genuinely committed to her students' growth.

Short version:…read more Danielle helped me undo decades of resistance around reading music, dramatically improved my sight-reading and technique, and helped me finally feel like the musician I always wanted to be. She is intuitive, kind, appropriately firm, and exceptionally good at meeting students exactly where they are. I couldn't recommend her more highly. Long version (for anyone who enjoys context): I took private piano lessons as a child, from 4th through 12th grade. I became very comfortable and confident playing, but I had a persistent internal resistance to learning to read music.   I continued to play throughout my adult life, but eventually gave up on reading music altogether. Over time, that created a quiet sense of inadequacy- as though I couldn't truly consider myself a musician without that skill.   In my mid-forties, my desire to grow as a musician reawakened, and I decided it was time to try again. Around that same time, I came across a post by Danielle saying she had an opening for a new student. I took it as a sign, reached out, and scheduled a first lesson. The lesson went so well that we immediately agreed to continue working together.   The same old blocks were still present, but within a relatively short amount of time, Danielle recognized them and somehow figured out how to work through them with me. Little by little, they began to dissolve.   Since then, I've been making daily progress in my sight-reading abilities and technique, expanding my repertoire, and finally growing into the musician I've always wanted to be.   I attribute this progress largely to Danielle's unique ability to intuitively understand her students and teach them in the way they need to be taught. She is incredibly sensitive, yet gently firm when appropriate. She is kind-hearted, fun, and uplifting, but by no means a push-over. That balance is important for adult learners, and even more so for children.   I only wish I'd had a teacher like Danielle when I first began my musical journey.   Without hesitation, I would emphatically recommend Danielle to anyone looking to begin (or rediscover!) their musical path.
