She actually took the time to walk me through some of the common problems so that I can troubleshoot. Once we figured out that the issue will need professional help she got me on the calendar as soon as possible. I was scheduled with Lou A. He was super communicative prior to the appointment. Once here, he quickly diagnosed that the problem was the capacitor and got the ac working in no time. Despite having a jammed schedule he did not make me feel rushed and answered all my questions. Their fees were fair and not one of those big companies where they will nickel and dime you for every little thing they do. He and his man shoveled all the walkways and the driveway so my wife could get her car out in the morning. They did this because they wanted to make sure the repair would work, and after the installation of the part, there was a certain amount of time the system needed to reboot. When I called insurance to find the next step, I was told they have to send it to another company, for some reason. They provided a quote and phone number to do the job from one of the plumbers who came out. It was an LLC. When I searched the phone number, it was linked to a plumber and a driving school! Needless to say, did not go with them. Now, the reason we are here... along came Peace of Mind plumbing. Mike arrived as promised, quoted the job, and provided a date to install, no fuss, no muss. The installation date came, and it was magic. From the delivery of a new boiler, the breakdown, the tow-away of the old unit, and the installation, everything was flawless and clean. Blueray (Sam) came by and found that a broken wire (thanks Huskies) was all that was causing the issue and the unit was just fine. Terrible experience from start to finish. I had two techs come to service my PTAC units. One did a…read moregreat job, the other didn't even bother cleaning the filters in my master bedroom. Immediately after the service, my 4-year-old PTAC started making noise and the thermostat stopped working properly. I called them back, and they sent a tech who insisted nothing was wrong--clearly to avoid holding the first tech accountable. I then hired another company, who found a leak and confirmed the unit was losing freon. When I confronted YuHan, she claimed it was "impossible" their first technician caused the problem and that their company "never makes mistakes." That's hard to believe when they couldn't even clean a filter. She asked me to send pictures and receipts, but it's pointless--she'll just deny responsibility no matter the evidence. She basically said I am lying. I attached a picture, this was AFTER the "cleaning". You can see the line thats leaking. The rep went as far as saying I am taking pictures of a third unit they never serviced, as if I am trying to scam them for a machine that wasn't working. Its ridiculous There are far better companies out there, and I can recommend a few. My advice: stay far away from these guys.
