I would recommend Lotus Transportation in LA to anyone needing transportation in the area. We needed a company to transfer a large party from the cruise ship terminal to Long Beach Airport. Alex was very helpful and patient with me as this was the first time I'd ever done this process. Prices were very fair for needing multiple vehicles. He was in contact with me leading up to the day of pickup. Very professional. Just an FYI, I don't normally give a perfect rating but I believe they deserved it. read more

Alex was wonderful!!!! Communication was great. He was on time and got us to and from safely and professionally. I highly recommend!!!

Got a rude driver with no road courtesy at all. Wrote a complaint letter to them but heard nothing back. Would not recommend these guys. read more

Our first experience on a previous trip was great, but not this time. Driver late; spent over 30 minutes waiting at the curb. Paid for town car got crappy SUV. No water. Empty soda can and water bottle in passenger cup holders. No apologies. Owner abrupt and rude. Stay away from this car service. Also this last trip to LAX was with a driver that drove like a manic weaving in and out of traffic drove extremely unsafe. Next day spoke with the owner and got nothing but excuses and not willing to except that they were at fault. This company is awful. read more

I called Lotus Transportation Group on two different occasions. Once for a kids birthday party and another for an all Girl's Wine Tasting Tour. They definitely had a lot of options for wine tasting, were on time and it was a very stress free experience. I recommend them if you want to relax, drink and not drive but have a friendly driver at your service. A+ read more

We, a party of 5 arrived Long Beach airport and as soon as we got our luggages, I was about to call the driver when I received a call from them first. We didn't wait more than 5 minutes where he told us he would pick us up. The driver was courteous. We arrived the cruise ship port early enough. This is one of the most affordable transfers from Long Beach airport to the cruise port. Will definitely use them again! Thank you for a great, no stress transportation!!!! read more

For the price and the friendly service, Lotus would be an overall 4.5 stars. When I arrived in LAX, I had to call them to pick me up on the curb instead of them waiting when I walked out. But I prefer to call and be picked up on the curb as oppose to walking to a structure... Overall, very very very solid performance. Bravo Lotus. Bravo. read more

We used Service from San Diego to LAX for our large family and all our luggage. They were right on time, the driver was very professional, very friendly, and drove really well. We are so pleased with the service, and driver Chris. Thanks Lotus! read more

My review is not based as a customer of this service, but as a driver on the road subjected to a careless, and ultimately rude driver from Lotus. Driving down the road in Irvine today, the driver in a Lotus car raced past me and cut me off to get in front of me. I honked my horn, and the driver decided to slam on his brakes. As we were stopped at the same traffic light, the driver got out of the car and verbally accosted me and my daughter - including using profanity. Given some of the other reviews I have read, this is not an uncommon experience. I will NEVER consider using this service. read more

Lotus Transportation Group gave us a very bad overall experience and just about the worst customer service that you could imagine from a transportation company. I have been meaning to write this for a while now hoping that the bitter taste of my "airport pick-up" experience would go away but obviously it hasn't and it has only gotten worse since after I took the Lotus Transportation Group owner's advice and tried his competitor "CALL UBER" (great service by the way) as he so texted/ recommended me (twice) to try if I was interested in having "on-time" pick up service from LAX. Our story begins when we were picked up in a dirty, unwashed van with a broken seat instead of the town car as mentioned on their website and as we wanted to be on-time for our international flight I decided to go ahead and overlook that and just hope that it was a one-time thing. Well things were about to get much more interesting, I texted Lotus my complete itinerary both before and one day before our return and was given a text confirmation both times (10-4) so I made the mistake of thinking that since I did that we would have our pick-up waiting for us on the curb when our flight got in but that wasn't going to be the case. I even made it a point to send an extra reminder text to Lotus while on our between flight layover which was four hours out of LAX just to let Lotus know that we were on-time and that after a brutally long flight/ day of over 24 hours in total we were going to be anxiously awaiting our curbside pick-up. Well, first of all we did arrive on time and went out to the curb to look for our ride and then we waited and waited and waited in between texting Lotus for updates and asking where our pick-up was we finally we were picked up over 45 minutes late which felt like a lifetime after the aforementioned 18 hour international flight and time change, then to top it off Lotus tried top split hairs over the actual amount of time that his driver late instead of a simple apology which might have actually sufficed at the time but instead Lotus texted me back that his driver was only 38 minutes late and that furthermore I should call "CALL UBER" next time I wanted airport transportation ! Anyway, due to the circumstances I did not feel that a tip was warranted so I did not tip the driver when we got to our house and since Lotus had our credit card on file I decided I had better check and see how much they charged us for the return trip and lo and behold the charge included $14.50 in EXTRA charges that we had never authorized, that was bordering on credit card fraud so I immediately texted Lotus back asking for that "extra" and not agreed upon amount to be credited back to my credit card and was again greeted with " CALL UBER" next time ! I will say that after several texts back and forth the $14.50 was credited back to our credit card but it was situation that we shouldn't have had to deal with in the first place. As a transportation customer I want to feel that it is ok to want to be picked up on time and not be criticized and told to go somewhere else (CALL UBER). As a result of my own personal experience with Lotus Transportation Group I would never recommend them for transportation services. read more

Hi - I recently took a trip to LA via MegaBus. We had a party of 13 and I arranged for Lotus to pick us up in two vans from the train station to take us to the Long Beach Port. We were pleased with the service and the drivers were very friendly. The cost was affordable and Alex showed great customer service. We later discovered that my niece left her purse in one of the vans and he kindly shipped it to our address in the Bay Area. I will recommend using Lotus! The vehicles were clean and the ride was nice. The driver in our van even gave us landmark info which kept us intrigued along the way! Jackie SF, CA read more

We have used Lotus Transportation on several occasions to and from LAX. Alex, the owner, is very friendly. All the drivers we've worked with were very polite, drove safely, and were very happy to work for Alex. They are direct to LAX, and don't bring other passengers so the trip is quick and efficient. We plan to use them again for our next trip out of town! read more

So glad I found this service! Way better than other "chain" shuttle services, and a better price!! I called in - they asked me to email the details and they would give me a quote - and guess what? It was CHEAPER than those big shuttle services! Prompt pick up on the way out - driver was super helpful and courteous. On the return, the driver had actually called me TWICE before we got our bags. I missed the calls because I was dealing with that damn baggage carousel but as soon as I had my bags in hand I called him back. Traffic at the United terminal was bad (but then again, when isn't it?) but he made it to use curbside and picked up us pretty quickly. Highly recommend this service! read more

I have been using lotus for several years. They have been reliable, responsive, and inexpensive.

I used Lotus twice and got terrible service both times. Used them to pick up party of 7 at LAX hotel and take us to Long Beach cruise terminal. Over 1 hour late picking us up. Called them when they were 5 minutes late and told driver was in area and would be there in 15 minutes. Called back several times over the next hour only to get recording. Driver finally showed up 1 hour and 10 minutes late and acted like did not even know he was late. No apology. Then already had pre-paid to have them pick us up the following week when we arrived back. This time only 45 minutes late picking us up. Driver clueless on how to get to LAX. Back tracked twice after missing exit off 405. Avoid this company!!!!!! read more

One company you don't want to waste your time or money on is the Lotus Transportation Group. Their website states "Our promise to you is: We Will Never Make You Wait! You Will Always Get To Your Destination On Time! All rides are NON-STOP EXPRESS!" That statement is BOGUS. Lotus Transportation Group had our arrival information therefore should have been at the terminal when we arrived ....NOT. After picking up our checked bag we walked outside the terminal looking for the Lotus Transportation Group and they were not there. We proceeded back inside to call and confirm a shuttle was coming...we were information it would be around 20 minutes. Long story short we waited for 50 minutes, we called several time and were told the driver was on his way. When he finally arrived he was not friendly because we had made the calls to dispatcher to report we were still waiting. Once we were in the van the driver received a call to pick up another passenger from a car rental location and told us it would be a quick stop. NOT! He drove around and around and used the excuse that his GPS took him to the wrong address, he then called the dispatcher several times complaining his GPS took him to the wrong address and the dispatcher was making suggestions of where it might be. We continued to drive around and around and several times he would stop and look down the block. Finally he stopped the van opened the door and said I will be back and if you have any complaints call dispatch; he then set out on foot to find the address. We did call to complain to the dispatcher but he just rambled on without an apology and since we were calling long distance it wasn't worth listening to the excuses. After waiting 50 minutes at the airport and driving around for an hour looking for the rental car company we arrived at the cruise terminal. Total time from start to end was an hour and 50 minutes....never again and I would encourage anyone thinking of hiring this company to think again. read more

Our company used Lotus when we had a convention in Long Beach. Alex was professional, helpful and everyone was friendly. The vans were clean, new or almost new, and always on time. I'd use them again in a heartbeat next time I'm in southern California. read more

Can't recommend. They cannot be expected to pick you up from the airport in a timely fashion. You will wait at least for twenty to thirty minutes with their pick up method. You will then call and they will make you feel like you are being impatient. You will then wait some more, and finally a car will come. Before that happens, you will watch other people on your flight getting picked up by cabs, loved ones and other car services. Safe travels. read more

We had the same exact experience as Ralph L. Our first experience on a previous trip was great, but not this time. Going to LAX the driver was friendly and on time but pick-up on return trip scheduled for 12:30 AM was half hour late after two long flights and on time flight arrival. They promote a town car but you get a SUV. Owner is abrupt and rude. Next day spoke to the owner about their failure to "send you driver's contact phone in the evening of arrival...in order to coordinate your exact pick up location at the airport" as their confirmation pre-trip email stated. He was argumentative and unapologetic and tried to make the pick up problem our fault. He does not have a clue about good customer relations. read more

I used them to shuttle from LAX to the Carnival Cruise port in Long Beach. They were on time and the vans were clean. The drivers were professional. I would use them again. read more

Excellent company and service. Everything was done as arranged. Even my wife felt comfortable trusting the timely performance of Lotus Transportation. Well done Alex. Thanks. read more

We were a party of 10 getting off of a cruise ship at the San Pedro Cruise Terminal and needed to get to LAX. I reserved a private van to pick us up and was pleasantly surprised when the driver called me while I was still on board the ship the morning we disembarked. He wanted to confirm that our plans were unchanged and assured me that he would be waiting. When we were all off of the ship and through customs I called him and within a minute he pulled up to the curb in a nice big van. He loaded all of our luggage and got us to LAX with no problems. When at the airport he unloaded our luggage. It could not have gone better and the price per person was an absolute bargain. I would use Lotus Transportation again and recommend it to my friends. read more

I give Lotus 5 STARS and the owner, Alex, and our driver, Dynel, because we have worked with Lotus 5 days a week twice a day for three straight years for a school run and have found our driver, Dynel, to be very courteous, very professional and also very punctual at all times. They run a top flight company - give them a try next time you need transportation for a special event, airport transfers or for any other personal or business need you might have. read more

This transport company is UNRELIABLE and is very RUDE towards their customer. They do not handle customer service well and do not attempt to provide a transportation trip that is worthy for the money. My group and I booked a two transportation trips from LAX to LAS and vice versa. However, during our first trip, we realised that our luggages were already unable to fit. We only had 13 luggages and we were PROMISED and CONFIRMED before the trip that it would fit 20 luggages. We found this a problem as we would be travelling with 20 luggages from LAS to LAX back. Knowing that we are travelling internationally and not only domestically, they claim and rebutted with a RUDE tone that our luggages were oversized and that it was not their problem that they previously has fitted 20 luggages OF THEIR SIZE, SO AS THEY CLAIM. I requested for actions to be done so that we can travel back. However, they denied responsibility and suspended our booking 1 week before our trip back to LAX, with a RUDE TONE and pushed the BLAME to US. Dear Lotus Transport, If you knew we are travelling internationally, kindly note that luggages can be of any size. If you promised 20 luggages, without stating the size, kindly provide a solution that is not in our blame. If you realise that it was your assumption fault in size, kindly admit and not suspend our trip 1 week before. EVERYONE, pls do not book with them as they are unreliable and could suspend your booking anytime, leaving you to panic for your trip to anywhere. read more

We took a shuttle from Long Beach Airport to the dock for a Carnival cruise. We arrived and called the company and they showed up within 10 mins of our call, so the service was prompt but so was our driver. His attitude was cold and it felt that we were putting him out. When he dropped us off he texted the owner who said we owed another $20 for our daughter. My husband and I called several times to confirm the price BEFORE we placed our reservation and paid for the shuttle. We were told for the 3 of us it would be $60 roundtrip and now after we got dropped off they are saying $80. Before making the reservation, I told him my daughter was 5 years old and another shuttle company I was going to use had children under 7 were free. He said yes, she was free too. Poor customer service. I gave 2 stars because my husband took the shuttle back on his own and said the driver to the airport was good and he picked him up on time. read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. My family used them in late February 2011 from LAX to the Cruise terminal. They were 45 minutes late and were very rude. Our driver was Alex and he even began to yell at us when we brought up that they were late. Then he proceeded to show us an email with a different appointment time than we had agreed upon. Our appointment was changed after the first email, but he only showed us the first one and we didnt have access to our own email to prove him wrong. But when we called to confirm our appointment when our plane landed, there was also no mention of this. He was also very unsafe and did not value us as passengers at all. This part made my blood boil. While driving, he was on the phone constantly and even took appointments and negotiations while driving. He even had a little platform in the middle of the front 2 seats so that he could write things down from his phone calls while he was driving. I cant even count the number of times he crossed into a different lane while driving because he only watched the road 20% of the time. The experience started out bad because he was 45 minutes late, but ended up terrifying because we thought we were going to die! If you value your life and your families life, please find a ride elsewhere. read more
