(I do NOT mean therapy dogs, but the ones that are, like, purse puppies. On more than one occasion I have seen a dog lift his leg and urinate on different objects. Ewww! I had a recent incident with a purse puppy that snapped at me. Two, the handicap services here suck. There are plenty of handicapped spots in the parking lot, but at times there are no empty ones because idiots take the spots that are so marked, leaving customers like me (fibromyalgia) and hubby (who is an amputee) to park out in the middle of lot. Not one employee cares about that. If you are lucky enough to get a scooter inside, as you shop you can see kids riding them like toys, which means people who really need them can't use them.

After scanning some yelp reviews, I stumbled upon this place. I walked in and was welcomed with such warmth that I knew I had hit the jackpot. So much so, I spent every single lunch at Nature's Kitchen. The owners, Flannery and Patty (and a special shout out to Cliff) are absolutely exceptional human beings. They are so kind, so lovely, and just radiate love. The food is delicious - HIGHLY RECOMMEND the bacon jalapeno quiche - and everything is homemade, even the dressings! My favorite combo of the week was the bacon jalapeno quiche, a side salad with their homemade balsamic, some chips, and a chocolate chip cookie! To say I was sad to leave Yreka because I would miss out on the best welcoming committee to date, is an understatement. I realize that the rules on employees are so much worse today then it use to be and good help is so darn hard to find in any business. we see it in all the stores in Yreka, ca. today's rite aid, I am sad to say I am to old to work for them now. I AM VERY HAPPY WE HAVE THEM IN OUR TOWN BUT IT NEEDS A FEW TWEEKS. sometimes a manager's hands are tied when it comes to discipline an employee or ask them to do things and they won't do it so the manager just get's frustrated and say's to heck with it and let's it go. then that affects the store and that can get old really fast and your moral does down the drain really fast for a good manager. first of all the manager needs to go and look at each shelf and see what needs to be ordered if they run out fast and the item is not on sale. how can he order other items that would be nice to pick up in the store. he also needs to see how the floors are not being cleaned at night like they are suppose to be cleaned. you have a nice floor, let's keep it that way. the workers will not look at you when they pass you by so they don't have to help you. you have to chase them down. the manager never see's or cares to see how the clerk checks you out and how grumpy they are if he is not watching. the store is beautiful but some items are so far away to get to. the layout was a very poor thought. Yreka store has a good manager, he has lost his way and he just needs to be talked to in a nice way and maybe given an incentive to do better. this man has many years to go and I want the store to be happy with him and him with the store.

The maskless woman ahead of me at the register was rung up without an employee telling her she *was required by law* to wear a mask. Then another person entered without a mask and not a single employee said a word. This sign stating that masks are required was pushed to the side of the door, and I pulled it front and center as I left. I am not so worried for myself, but for our seniors and immunocompromised individuals. I really hope that Rite-Aid will begin to enforce this MANDATORY rule. This is a serious public health concern. You can do better.
