Whenever I got an issue in front of the right person, they took it seriously and got things moving. The system itself is working great. The one area that really needs improvement is project management. From my perspective it was largely absent--I received essentially no responses from my assigned PM, and even my request for a new one went unanswered. Issues that could have been handled earlier, including a requirement identified before construction, contributed to an inspection failure and months of delay in fully closing out the project. I also had to request a final walkthrough myself, which seems like something project management should have coordinated. What is bizarre is how strong the rest of the team was. Operations in particular did a great job stepping in when things needed attention, and the people actually doing the work and operational oversight were great. It felt like a lot of very capable people were working there and able to get around the project-management function. I'd recommend Photon Brothers. I'm happy with the finished product and everyone that I interacted with were excellent with the exception of the nonexistent project manager. My main suggestion would be to make sure there is clear, responsive project ownership from beginning to end, including a way to hand a project to someone else when that isn't happening.

I also discovered that the technician moved my security camera from the window to a table without asking. This was captured on my security footage. When I raised these concerns with management, I felt they were dismissed. The manager told me he believed the technician's account over mine despite the video I provided. I also informed him that I intended to leave an online review. During our conversation, he responded by saying, "I'll sue you for defamation." And, " I can't wait to see everyone on Reddit laugh at you" That response made me question whether customers feel comfortable leaving honest negative reviews after receiving that kind of warning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I encourage anyone hiring these contractors to have security cameras and to document the condition of their home before and after service. After shopping around they were able to give us exactly what we needed and we already notice a difference with the mini heat wave that we are having currently here in Denver.Scheduling was relatively easy and we were able to get on the calendar within a month. Pricing was competitive and they offered to price matching should we find another company that we liked. Other companies, however did not offer as many services for the amount that we paid. Guardian is also filing our upgrade with Xcel energy so that we get all the offered rebates that we don't have to do that ourselves, which is definitely a nice touch. The installers arrived in a timely manner, and were done within one day with a job that was estimated to take two. They also kept things tidey and cleaned up once finished. We also had a ton of questions and Brian, who helped us, was always able to reply and patiently explain things. After showing me all the options, we went with their RUUD top of the line system which came with a multi stage furnance, variable stage AC, and a heat pump. They applied the rebates offered by Xcel, so we didn't have to wait for the rebates, we just signed over the rebates to them during the sales process. The installers were top notch, kind, and ensured they took good care of our home. I couldnt be happier and highly recommend them. From a price point, they came out thousands less than the closest competitor, and I'd note the closest competitor wasn't willing to do a transfer of the rebates.
