We had him add in three dimmers as we are converting to LED lights and fix a GFCI outlet that wasn't working anymore. We bought a house that needed a lot of work, so Chris and his crew were here for quite awhile. They replaced the panel, re-wired and grounded the entire house, changed every light fixture, installed smoke detectors, and added outlets where they needed to be up to code. Chris and Carlos did most of the work (and were fantastic), but everyone who came over did a great job. We had several contractors involved in this project, and Slade Energy was the ONLY one who didn't go way over the quoted price, ignore the schedule, or cause damage to other parts of the house. What I appreciated most was that Chris always kept me in the loop about the project. If they needed to re-schedule to wait for someone else to finish, he told me. If there was going to be an additional cost (usually because I added something), he told me. I've learned enough about contractors in the past few months to realize that's very rarely the case. When we were finally able to move and needed relatively minor electrical work done on our old home, I didn't even bother calling around for quotes. I didn't hesitate to hire Chris again and I would definitely recommend Slade Energy for any project, big or small. read more

My wife and I needed to get 8 recessed lights installed (4 in the kitchen, 4 in the living room), 2 dimmer switches installed, and a new wire ran to an overhead light in a spare room. We contacted multiple electricians. All of them were a few weeks out from getting the work done, and all the quotes were higher than SladeEnergy, some significantly. I contacted SladeEnergy on the 25th, got a reply same day, Nick and Chris were out on the 27th to give a quote, and started the job on the 1st. We were expecting the job to take all day, but Nick and Chris got the job done quickly, in about 3 and a half hours. We did have a minor issue, the new dimmer switch is in a 2 switch box, one controlling the dimmer in the living room, the other the outside lights. The switch was wired that the outside lights stayed on, and wouldn't turn off. I didn't catch it until after they left. I contacted Chris right away, and Nick came out first thing the next morning and fix it. Again, not a big deal, but it says a lot that Nick came out immediately to fix it, which is why I even mentioned it. I absolutely recommend SladeEnergy. If we have any other electrical needs, I will go directly to SladeEnergy. Stop looking for an electrician for your next project or problem, you just found them. read more
