If I could give negative stars I would. The day before Thanksgiving which all of us women know is kind of an important appt, I showed up to a front desk who had no record of my appt despite the fact that I showed them a text confirmation and screenshot. It was my first time in the salon which is the tiniest salon I've ever been in! It's legit claustrophobic. The music is so loud reception can't even hear you. Parking sucks and they won't let you walk into the building through the back lot doors and to top it all off the reception told me to sit and wait without telling me how long it might possibly take or who would be doing my daughters hair. Never ever ever would I recommend this salon. Literally one of the worst customer service and general vibe experiences I've ever had at a salon!!! I will admit that my haircut was more expensive than I ever thought a haircut could be ($150). That being said, after recovering from the initial shock, I was overcome with joy because I LOVE my hair. As a curly haired gal who has decided to embrace her curls, Bethany gave me the best haircut I have ever gotten. It has volume, definition and length. I opted for the deep conditioning treatment ($60) and my hair is so shiny and it feels and looks great. I also thought the scalp massage with the shampooing was lovely and the white wine I was offered also delicious. I will definitely be returning. read more

Adorable salon with lots of plants and good vibes. I had a cut and color done with Taylor and she patiently taught me how to style my natural wavy hair. And the appointment was on time and relatively speedy compared to what I've experienced at other salons. I got a great initial consultation and color. But trying to book a follow up is nearly impossible online. You are required to book 2 services and they only provide random options like "finish" or child's cut. I couldn't just book what I needed. I left messages but did not receive a call back. So it takes multiple tries to book an appointment. I wanted an all over color only. My 2nd appointment the stylist booked a haircut in between. Not a problem except that I sat under the dryer for an hour and 15 minutes. The whole appointment was 2.5 hours. The 3rd appointment I got all over color and trim. This time I spent 15 mins under the dryer. The whole appointment was complete in less than 45 mins and this time I got a trim too! An appointment at the end of the day makes a big difference, apparently. The trim along the bottom was simple and took the stylist less than 5 mins - no product only blow dry- and it cost an additional $100!!! I understand that I will pay a premium at a high end salon, but if you charge a premium, I expect good service. Clean up the booking process, don't let the busyness or time of day affect the service, and offer tiers for the pricing of a simple trim. I would've been better off going to Fantastic Sam's for my last two appointments- better service and I would've saved about $200 read more

I called to see if I can get my hair done since they did such a good job on my daughters hair. Got an appt w Ava for Saturday. Looked at pics in here & I wanted to stop in so she can look at my type of hair really quick, it's thin and frizzy curly. Don't want to waste an appt if she is not able to do my hair that is not typically what they do. Screen shot below. Didn't hear back, left work to stop in really quick at 4:30. Let the little cute doggy in & the receptionist which I think is the owner offered for me to sit and wait for her on the couch or outside. Said she already updated her on why I was there. Cool. Went to the couch & waited 10min. Ava never acknowledged me, smiled at me "be right there" nothing it was very awkward. I had to get back to work so I needed to leave. Let the receptionist know "hi I gotta go, i gotta get back to work" her response "Oohh okay sorry" The other 2 ladies who were working with clients looked up. Such a bummer. Last time I spend 650+ for my daughters hair to be dyed and styled. Maybe they think I didn't have money to spend or something not sure but they for sure don't need business and don't mind if anyone I dissatisfied. 2 stars just be the 1st Time I went it was very different only this time I was not dressed up w my makeup on. Continued review... When I called back 2 days later I genuinely tried to allow them to do right. I politely asked for the manager who suspiciously sounded exactly like my stylist but claimed a different name. I explained how I didn't receive the coloring I had wanted & also explained the customer service I received and how I would just really appreciate a refund. The entire time I was talking on the phone the owner was chewing gum extremely loudly & made it very apparent that she was not listening or paying attention to what I was saying. I knew she wasn't paying attention because she HUNG UP ON ME and when I called back and said how I was not finished speaking and how she had hung up on me she proceeded to try and brush it off with a fake laugh explaining how she had spoken with her boss and do to bank deposits etc she can not give me a refund. I PAID IN CASH YOU LUNATIC! I have NEVER been so disrespected and WASTED my money on something so severe in my life. It has taken almost two months to grow out the damage she has done & I have gotten feedback from multiple professional stylists that also agreed she did not know what she was doing and turned my roots a brassy orange as well as making the rest of my short hair more brunette than blonde. I will NEVER go back here & I highly suggest NO ONE ever goes here again. I'm honestly so upset & dismayed with myself for allowing someone to damage my already short hair with bleach when I thought I could trust her with it. The most inappropriate disrespectful joke of a business I've ever mistakenly stepped foot in and gave my money away. Consider it a charity donation! Do NOT go here ! I have been getting my hair done by Alivia since we were in 7th grade and she sat behind me braiding it. On a color level Alivia has been styling me for 4 years now. There is no one else that I trust with my hair! For reference I have extremely thick curly hair. Liv always lets me vent about anything on my mind or sometimes we just catch up about our lives. I always let her do what she needs time to do with my hair. I trust her whole heartedly. More often than not I'll sit down and just look at her and say "whatever you want to do liv!" And I always LOVE IT. I have never had a bad experience at the Lotus Den. The vibe is always so good, and they play the best music and always offer drinks and snacks.
