Nicely decorated and spacious restaurant with plenty of tables and booths. The food was a little disappointment. My pastor tacos were dry and difficult to eat my experience with Pastor tacos in the past has been very juicy and full of flavor that was not the case today at this restaurant. My dining companion had an enchilada plate and said it was average and not much flavor Super friendly folks and average food. I visited with a friend who lives in Clovis and he raved about the food, so I may have just made a poor selection. He raved about the.Bierra de Chivo and the torta ahogada - so I may have to come back next time I'm in the area and try those dishes because there are so many favorable reviews.

The beans in particular were about the best either me or my wife have ever had. You can be sure they use some lard in there somewhere, if my sense of smell serves me right. The cheese chile relleno was delicious, and my wife's enchiladas were surprisingly tasty for the (apparently) unseasoned chicken inside. The chips were fresh and the sauces interesting. The guacamole was cold and spot on, although it needed salt badly IMO. (note: the guacamole is a menu item, not from the sauce bar). Be warned, some of the sauces at the "sauce bar" can be very hot! Not for your average Northerner. And the decor and atmosphere are nothing to write home about. Kind of stark. But the food is good, and that's the main thing; you're not going to come here on a fancy date anyway... So give this place a try when in Clovis.

The beans and rice were well cooked but nothing to write home about. Price wise pretty average but definitely will return.
