We had some minor hiccups with this place. First attempt was on 5/26 Memorial Day, and they were closed due to construction. The lady working there said they'd be open tomorrow. Fast forward next day, closed again. This time only construction workers and no one from Los Sera's. We finally made it back there on late Thursday night, and finally, they were open with a ton of people out front. Good sign.
We took seats inside the restaurant and a man came to promptly take our order. We ordered two al pastor, two gringas, and two bisteks with a horchata and apple mundet (which is really addictive). Food came quick as we watched the man at the al pastor station cut the meat right off the rotisserie onto the tacos. The al pastor was good but a bit dry. I know everyone raves about these al pastor tacos, but honestly, it need a little sauce. Pineapple was a good touch on them. My favorite was probably the bistek. It was chunks of carne asada smothered in cheese with cilantro and onions. Squeeze some lime juice on top and wow, that's heaven. Their gringa was not really a taco, more like a quesadilla with al pastor in it.
Pretty good place with pretty solid food. Cheap prices. Next time I would try out their pizzas. All the locals seemed to be ordering them. read more
