    pork pastor quesadilla $13
    Thanh L.

Came at 9pm on a weekday! The place is small and filled with graffiti. We intended to sit down but ended up having to do takeout because of the limited seating. There were people performing right outside the door and they were good. The man behind the counter was really nice and drew smiley faces on our takeout container. You can tell it's a small business and things were made with love. I got the pork quesadilla. For $13, I would've expected a bigger portion since it only came with two pieces as shown in the pic but it was yummy. The spices packed a punch with this one. I tasted my girlfriend's birria quesadilla and it was really good. If I was to go back, I'd have that one.

It's Tuesday, we wanted tacos and stumbled upon this hole in the wall in Chinatown. I was unsure of the place at first as there's graffiti all over the wall and the restaurant looks kind of dingy. The place was packed with a big group from a nearby conference, but service was quick and we waited less than 5 minutes to order. I wanted to try the cactus taco but they were out so we got 2 birria beef & 2 pork tacos. $6 per taco seems pricey, but these tacos were amazing. The tortillas are warm and the meat is so juicy and flavourful. The pork tacos were really messy, it would've been nice if they gave us napkins for our takeout order. Still I would recommend this place for late night eats (they open until 3am on weekends).

Food was good but quite small for what we got. We got carnitas tacos and birria quesadillas. 15$ for a quesadilla and 6$/taco. The consume was not very concentrated, but all the food tasted good. We didn't have anything in the quesadillas except for meat and cheese, maybe some onion, even though they said they'd put "everything on it" like cilantro, onions, etc. Very small place with almost no seating, sketchy area. Didn't wait too long for food. Glad we tried it, but will probably stick to our go-to place for cheaper tacos and more on the/options.

Sat us down, took our orders and brought us our food then quickly brought the bill so they could change tables over. The Margarita here was excellent. Definitely felt like a strong boozey drink. Well done! Tried their Chilaquiles - not sure what I was expecting but this was more nachos than anything else. Definitely not the best in the city either. Maiz De Cole - strangely the best option that I selected. The chilli, lamb, cilantro just went so well. Great light option if you need one. Definitely not better than a good Mexican street corn though. Birria Taco - wanted to like this but didn't leave much to be desired. Large portions of protein Ordered the extra Birria as my date also wanted this. Looking back, should have stuck with the single order. It was way too much birria protein which after a few bites became overly dry and lacked flavour. Carnitas Tacos - come in a order of 2. Better option for smaller appetites. Overall, felt a bit steep in price. Their website online doesn't even post prices yet.

Warm, buzzy, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in. The enchiladas are my go-to, saucy and cheesy and full of flavour, I order them almost every time and they never miss. But truly everything here is great. The tacos are excellent across the board, the guacamole is fresh, the nachos come loaded, and you should absolutely save room for the churros because they're some of the best I've had. Portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable for how much food you get. The margaritas don't disappoint either. It gets busy, especially on weekends, but the staff keep things moving and are lovely the whole way through. A proper hidden gem. I go whenever I'm downtown.

The service was warm and welcoming without being overwhelming. Ask for Eleana, she took wonderful care of us while we were there. The restaurant is cozy - not huge, not small, enough room for everyone there without being packed. I found the food delicious and authentic. Great to support a local, woman-owned business.

Our server was attentive and around when we needed something but never interrupting, and his recommendations ended up being some of our favourite dishes. The anchovy olives were a standout, super crispy, packed with flavour, and not overly fishy at all (great if you're a bit hesitant about anchovies). The mushroom toast was rich, savoury, and full of umami. Just a heads up not to let it sit too long since it softens the bread. The tuna tartare was fresh and well-balanced. Not my personal favourite served on toast, but still really enjoyable overall. The paella was excellent, perfectly cooked shrimp, tclams, and crispy pork belly chicharrón that added the best salty, fatty crunch. The roasted cabbage completely surprised me and was easily one of the best veggie dishes I've had in a while. I could have eaten a whole plate of it. We wrapped things up with churros and shared a pitcher of sangria. For three people, it came out to about $68 each before tip, which felt very fair for how much we ordered. Would definitely recommend.

As well, the manchego was so tiny it was like a shaving . The bone marrow amounted to about three teaspoons of marrow. We were so sad and dissatisfied. The patatas bravas was okay. Unfortunately we do not have a reason to return.
