Stopped in on Tuesday night and it was taco night. All the bites we had were awesome. The fish taco was the stand out but I really enjoyed everything they had. The beers were also great and we got all of this for less than $60 after tip. They had the World Cup on and it was a great vibe. They were slammed, but the patio was literally the perfect place to wind down an evening. Great spot if you're in the neighborhood read more

we went to watch The Pollen Collective. got there just before 5 and it was happily crowded with many families with young kids. we ordered the fried pickle slices (3/5), a tofu bahn mi (1/5) and a cheeseburger (4/5). the pickles are too greasy (good ranch) and the bahn mi is served on a soft wheat roll and really should be reworked or renamed. it was nearly impossible to pick up. my partner had mexican beer (2.5/5) you order at the counter, carry your drinks to your seat (mostly community seating picnic tables) and the food is delivered. great vibe and nice staff!! someone near us had the birria egg rolls and liked them. read more

Really cool hipster brewery in the surf ghetto. My son was across the street at Fight Strong and I thought hey I've been reading about this place and I just moved to the neighborhood. I had to check it out. Really cool vibe when I walked in as I grabbed a beer at the counter. I think it was 16 ounces and I think it was $10. Felt a little bit expensive. Maybe I'm just getting old and everything seems expensive. Tasted solid. I wish I had some more healthier food varieties and everything wasn't fried in the fryer, but still a really cool place. I even bought a hat as I'm pretending I'm a local even though I've lived here 25 days now. I'll definitely be back and I'll bring my dog, that seems to be the vibe at this place. read more

The food here was so good! I especially loved the birria egg roll rolls and the cheese curds! Service was very friendly here as well. I knocked off one star because I wish there was a way you could order a beer in a separate line than the food because the line got quite long if you were just looking for a quick beer but definitely check it out and it seemed like a fun crowd. read more

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good food and friendly service. A friend and I came by for lunch after a hike in the area. Neither of us had been before, but it was conveniently located and looked nice--clean, open, airy, and not too crowded on a Thursday around noon. We sat at the bar, but didn't actually end up trying any of the beers (although I thought about it). We opted for Diet Cokes instead--maybe next time. I had the veggie sandwich with fries, and my friend had the cheeseburger and fried cheese curds. All were really delicious, the fries being especially good. We agreed that the cheese curds might've been too much for us. I don't know what we were thinking, ordering DEEP FRIED CHEESE--maybe that we were still teenagers?! They didn't have a ton of vegetarian or vegan options, but I really enjoyed my sandwich. Our server was genial and efficient, and we had a lovely time. Would like to try again, with some beers next time. read more

Heard this place has a "Taco Tuesday" but it's literally just a menu they serve on Tuesdays... Idk why the menu posted on their website has no prices listed but anyways, we came wanting a quick bite. The place was packed and majority of the people come for drinks. I got a carne asada and al pastor taco priced at $4 each. Rest of the group ordered chicken taquitos, burrito, fish taco, and birria taco. The food was incredibly mid. I appreciated the thick homemade tortilla and the hefty filling, but the meat was bland and everything looked better than it tasted. Also, pass on the fish taco, it is a wimpy piece of fish on top of a bed of cabbage. Ugh so disappointing, but it has a cool open concept and definitely a fun spot to hang out. Pass on the food, come for the drinks. read more

Talk about a place with the perfect beach town vibe. It's all open air with indoor and outdoor dining spaces being seamless. There's a bar to sit at right next to where you order. We came down from up north for lunch on Taco Tuesday. They have a special menu for that day. Fortunately it includes their soon to be famous birria egg rolls. We walked up and placed our beer and food orders. Everything was delivered quickly. The tacos were overflowing their tortilla bases! The egg rolls were up to the hype. They have a bunch of their own beers on tap in a wide range of styles. read more

Cute location, street parking, large patio seating area (lots of kids and dogs). Good size beer selection, we're a hazy's and sours group. They do offer food but it's typical bar food quality. Staff does their best to keep the outside area clean but, they appeared to be short staffed during our visit. There were also long lines at the register to order more drinks each time, no table service. They do have a cute feature - they offer postcards for free, fill them out there and drop with the cashier before you leave and the mail them for free! They also have live music certain days. read more

A group of us went here on a Sunday afternoon to watch games. There are a limited amount of TVs, however the food and beer were both great. I ordered the fried pickles, nachos and Birria egg rolls. Egg rolls a much try! I had a flight. I wanted to try so many beers. Besides the beer the cider and wine were great! The line to order went quick and staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend paying this brewery a visit. read more

Still no improvement on getting parents to controls their children so people who want a childfree zone or properly look after their children or leave them at home can enjoy their time. The brewery can put unruled and controls that parents should follow, or set up a family area. Tripping over a kid running around and only just avoiding badly hurting myself or the kid is bad enough, luckily no broken glass involved. Literally an accident waiting to happen. read more

Came here post-holiday party at my university department, which means my social battery was at 3%, my tolerance for nonsense was low, my name tag was still dangling from my sweater, and my need for beer was critical. Oh, I also had on a party hat I made people wear, still on my head like a dunce cap. Luckily, this is my date's friend's brewery, and I do love beer, so the odds were in everyone's favor. Important context: There was no food. None. Due to a combination of my date's questionable planning and my own heroic tardiness (I blame the professors who made me into an academic diplomat), we arrived after the kitchen closed. devastating. (BUT I did have leftovers from the holiday party after my department chair expressed his concerns for me after I talked about hole-digging behind our building as a team-building activity for 15 min... but I'm also a 5th year PhD student, so you can't really blame me for being enthusiastic about everything not-my-dissertation) That said: Excellent West Coast beers. Crisp and clean. The kind that revives you after too much small talk and forced cheer. Dog friendly. Emotional support dogs everywhere. Morale improved instantly. Healing occurred. I think even my dog healed. Kind date. Noteworthy. Handled my exhausted, mildly feral energy with care and grace. (he bought me beers) I was gifted a Mexican lager from a kind beertender after closing. Unexpected. Generous. Tear-inducing. It was the plot twist that redeemed the entire evening. Despite the hunger, fatigue, and being one mild inconvenience away from ghosting the whole night, this ended up being a genuinely lovely experience. The beer, the staff, and the warmth of the place did all the heavy lifting. Would absolutely return-- But next time, I'm making very sure the kitchen is open :) P.S. My date wishes to also emphasize that *I was late*. But what's a girl supposed to do when professors lean on her to convince undergrads that professors aren't terrifying lions? Exactly. read more

Definitely glad we came this way. They participated in the beer passport which was cool. Except the service at the beginning seemed a bit cold because we were there for the passport. When we ordered our second beers and food, service seemed to change drastically. I guess sometimes you can help it as a human being. Anyhow, bedsides the point, everyone there was nice. The French fries were some of the best we've had in a while. The cheese curds were decent - and I've had legitimate cheese curds from Wisconsin so I feel like that's saying something! Their pretzel was good. And they gave the right amount of cheese and mustard dip. There's nothing like a place that give you more pretzel than cheese dip but this place didn't disappoint. The Mexican lager I had was a solid Mexican lager. I tried their pickle beer and surprisingly, it was really good! I do like pickled vegetables with beer occasionally. I wouldn't have thought pickle beer would be good but it's a good balance. All in all, I would come here again. Kid friendly. Clean bathrooms. read more

I had to meet a friend from L.A. while I live in San Diego, and he suggested this place halfway to get together for lunch. After driving over an hour during a heat wave yesterday, I get to this place which was wide open, playing loud music and had no AC. My friend was late some 20 minutes and the place was not busy at all; so, I found a table inside to sit at, hungry and thirsty after a long drive. No one from the staff came to greet me or acknowledge me at all during that time. When my friend finally arrived, we actually had to ask someone for service. That's when the lady at the counter explained that it was an open-tablet concept. We ordered 2 burgers, a beer and a cider. I had a salad as a side, my friend had fries. When the food arrived, my plate only had a knife on it, no fork. Did I say I had a salad? Stay with me here... I went back to the register lady and asked her about utensils. She told me they were at another counter behind me. I thanked her, went there & grabbed a set. While I'm turning around to get back to my table, the other female that had brought the food over looked at me as if surprised, and I waved the set up in the air and told her that she forgot to bring me utensils. She proceeded to yell at me that she had brought a fork for me, but it was on my friend's plate. I told her that was my friend's, not mine, and went back to my food. This female food runner came back to my table to harrass me about how there was a fork on my friend's plate. She complained that I had yelled at her while I explained it was a loud place with loud music. We exchanged a few words at my table until I asked her to, please, allow me to enjoy my food. She was relentless trying to argue while I was sitting with food in front of me getting cold. I had to ask her again to, please, let me enjoy my food. Had I not been so far from home, I would have left right then and there. Her entitlement and unprofessionalism left a lot to be desired. Needless to say, neither my friend or myself will NEVER set foot here again. As for the quality of the food, I couldn't really tell you. It was just a burger with a fried egg on top, merely substenance at that point before driving back south on a Friday afternoon. My taste buds were very upset and didn't register at that point. I'm an international foodie always open to try new places and willing to tip accordingly. Southern California is not cheap, but places and situations like this leave a lot to be desired. read more

My partner and I stopped in here after doing some sightseeing in Laguna Beach and before meeting a friend in Oceanside. The service here was super friendly and helpful! I may have accidentally spilled my whole drink and a friendly staff member helped me clean it up and event brought me new drink on the house. This is a great spot, little parking but wonderful atmosphere and nice staff. This the only restaurant in san Clemente that has zero pricing on their food menu. It was not a pleasant surprise that two appetizers costed $50 for a brewery. The food was good but this is not a steakhouse for the prices. Similarly, they advertise alcohol slushies on their menu for $5, but charged merely double after pouring the drinks. read more

Really good solid food. They had a limited lunch and regular menu, but a good variety (ramen, burgers, and burritos). They initially messed up the food order but quickly corrected it and even gave us an extra dish - very nice. Hello We come to San Clemente 3 to 4 times a year and thought we'd check this place out . My husband ordered the cheeseburger and it was sub par, the arugula was a nice touch but it had very little cheese. I had the Bavarian pretzel and cheese curds, the cheese curds were just ok, the pretzel I am pretty sure s had been reheated in the microwave which made it chewy . I didn't eat it, pretzels need to be reheated in an oven or kept in a climate controlled warmer so they aren't chewy and hard to eat. What was really disappointing was the waitress/cashier. It was obvious we had not been here before and we weren't welcomed upon arrival , we sat down first and she didn't greet us or let us know we were supposed to order at counter. We got up and asked. The beer was good and the fries and that was about it! We call this a one and done! With all the other great places to dine in SC I guess it's safe to go with where we know to go for a great meal!0 read more
