Had an AMAZING experience at the Left Coast Brewing Company. It's a small but well-run establishment with a ton of great options on tap. It attracts a really chill crowd: there was literally a patron with her newborn. Very family friendly, warm, and positive. I went here for trivia night, and we had a total blast. There's no food at the brewery since it's a smaller space and it's really not in a location built for heavy duty kitchen work, but they were totally cool with us bringing food in and even gave us recommendations for local spots! I'm not even a beer drinker but I enjoyed trying their different offerings and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked them! They even have a little mini arcade setup and cards against humanity. They put a ton of thought into curating a space for community and good old fashioned fun. Restrooms were SO clean and there were a men's and women's room which feels so rare at bars! The women's room even had multiple stalls, which was so convenient. Pitchers of water were free (and quite frankly, the water was delicious), and there was fun, clean music playing. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun place for all ages to enjoy. It's hard to find a place that's welcoming to non-drinkers and younger people, while also still offering plenty of alcoholic options. I recently attended a comedy show at this brewery with my dad and it was by far the worst comedy show I've ever seen. The "comedians" spent the majority of the time talking about dick and pussy in the most crude, low-effort way possible. It wasn't clever or edgy--it was just lazy and disgusting. I left early and have zero interest in ever returning. What makes it worse is that the brewery allowed this kind of show in their space. The staff should be embarrassed that they booked (or allowed) something this low-quality and inappropriate. Service wasn't great either. When we went to order drinks, the bartender pointed us to the "order here" spot at the bar. We stood right at the front of that line for a solid five minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Overall, a disappointing experience from start to finish. Won't be back. I almost wish I could go back to the brewery and get my money back, but I know that's not possible. read more

The atmosphere was interesting. It almost felt like a dive bar because it was dark and filled with lots of heavy wood furniture. I did like that they have local artists' work for sale on the walls! A flight comes with 6 beers of your choice. You have plenty of variety to choose from. The Hop Juice Triple IPA is one of their full time options and I assume one of their most popular. Had such a great time. The staff were super helpful and friendly I wish I could remember there names. Turns out they have trivia nights on Saturday's and turns out I still suck at trivia. They were open indoors but with social distancing. I suggest doing flight tasting be star you get to try new beers and it's worth trying all there beers. Very good selections. West coast specializes in American or West Coast IPAs. Beers were good pricing and they have tasters. The place is big, bar seating and a couch with a screen to watch some sports! The beers were a little too bitter for me, which overwhelmed my taste buds and I couldn't taste any other flavors in there. I just prefer more of a NE style profile- like mellow hops. Love the variety of beer here~ also very spacious as well. This place is unique since they have the warehouse next door to the actual brewery. Decor is hipster, indoor style with bar and table seating, love how it's very spacious. They have around 16 beers on tap, with seasonal choices. Mostly IPAs but they have ales, stouts, and pale ales. I got the 16 Oz galaxy hop IPA, which was super refreshing. A good beginner IPA beer with a crisp and not too bitter hoppy taste. Price is around $5-$6, super affordable. They also do 5 Oz, 6 glass flights for $12, which allows substitution for seasonal beers for extra. Staff is very attentive and friendly, responded quickly when we asked what was fresh on tap. This is my 118th brewery visit! Left Coast has a really sweet taproom going here. Yes, in a light industrial area, which you knew I would comment on. Parking is easy. The taproom itself is plenty large with lots of tables and a big bar area. Nice west coast surfer vibe going with surfboards on the walls. They had a large number of beers on tap, but honestly I still thought IPA's were over represented. On to the beer reviews! Calm Your Pils is a nice little Pilsner. Smooth and easy drinking. Nothing stellar but great for those without a taste for craft beer. Yes, I'm talking about those "fizzy yellow" beer drinkers. They will still find this has more flavor than they are used to, but considering the mass produced light beers have no flavor that's a given. Pink Bikini is a German wheat with a bit of floral note and a slightly sweet finish. Una Mas! Yes I will always have one more. Especially one of this nice little amber lager. Malty, smooth, and quite tasty. The South County west coast IPA had decent hop bitterness but not overwhelming although it came through more at the end. Nuclear Chi Chi's! Oh yeah! A session IPA. Awesome name but the beer didn't live up to it for me. I did buy the shirt though and spent the rest of the day referring to SWPFTD's chi chi's as nuclear. Yeah, maybe a bad idea but I'm not known for my good decisions. The Asylum Belgian tripel was actually really nice. Even SWPFTD thought this one was pretty good and she doesn't care for the Belgians generally. Trestles American IPA. I surfed trestles many a time and always enjoyed it. It would have been better with this beer though! Really smooth flavor all the way through. OC American IPA just didn't work for me. I'm not sure what the hops were here but both the aroma and flavor were just not good for us. Hop Juice triple IPA was not a winner for us. I'm in the middle of a conversation with my brother in law about Scotland so I'm not giving you details on this. Vacation Mode American IPA. I'm always up for being in vacation mode, in fact, I'm in vacation mode through Tuesday! This was a decent IPA but they are starting to run together for me. Snivler Scotch Ale is a freaking winner! I love scotch ales. Malty goodness all the way through. Score! A crowler PD this is leaving with me. Ale Epeteios imperial stout is a nice stout. More chocolate than coffee for me. Flavorful and smooth! Left Coast Brewing is well worth a stop. This would be one of my go to spots if I lived closer. Trestles is one of their signature West coast IPA's, Mamba Forever is a very solid DIPS and available in the 4 pack. For those wanting the higher test there are two Triple IPA's that are good. If IPA is not your thing there's a few different options like their Una Mas Lager or Del Mar Dortmunder Lager. Games there are, as Yoda would say. The Golden Tee 2021 game is fun with friends and theres the old school Ms Pac Man for those of us old enough to remember when those games cost a quarter. Overall has a nice clean family friendly vibe that manages to appeal to a mix of parents from Talega escaping the kiddos for a brief spell, and the younger crowd goofing off with table shuffleboard or outside at the tables. Located in a business park East of the 5 freeway the location is zoned as a tasting room and therefore does not have a kitchen and does not serve onsite prepared food. But feel free to bring your own or have it delivered. The beer menu is substantial and always changing. Left Coast offers beers by the flight or pint. If it's your first visit definitely try a fight and sample several of their offerings. Trestles, named after a local surf spot, is their most established beer. It has a delicious hoppy taste and a bit of bitterness to finish. The tasting room brings in a nice mix of locals and tourists looking to enjoy local craft beers. It's a casual atmosphere with an outgoing staff of friendly beertenders. During the Covid-19 closure Left Coast took the opportunity to move a couple of suites over and is in the process of reopening. This place is very easy to miss when you're up there, tucked away neatly between two industrial complexes. Walking inside, you're greeted with a quaint little retro pub feel equipped with comfortable couches and a bar setting. The bar spans down a good length making for comfortable seating and plenty of room. The bartender this Wednesday was extremely knowledgeable and knew her stuff, introducing me to one of their seasonal ales. The service itself was just okay, trying to order a second drink being a challenge as the staff tended to steer towards the regulars. What an awesome local brewery! Great beers, great people and fun times. There's a bunch of parking available right out front of Left Coast, because it's tucked away in a business center. Saturday nights at 7 pm and Wednesday nights at 6 pm they offer trivia night, with the chance to win free beers and growlers. Don't expect to win at trivia night though, the brainiac duo always wins... rightfully so. Come on Tuesdays for Bend and Brew, where for just $10 you can do Yoga AND drink! There are games like cards, and chess in the corner of the room as well. The team here is awesome, always makes me feel right at home. Javi the bartender is super personable and sweet, and the Geeks Who Drink trivia hosts always show me a fun time! My favorite beer is the Una Mas, its a classic American Amber and has become a go-to drink of mine whether I'm at Left Coast or not. They also have a bunch of great IPAs that rotate out, as well as some of their regulars like Hop Juice, Voo Doo and Nuclear Chi Chi's (my fave label of all time). They don't have food here, but they do have crunchy pretzels you can ask for if you want a snack! read more

As my family and I were sitting down the road at a different brewery I mentioned I wanted to check this place. Everyone there said not worth your time- not sure if they were related to the owners of the other brewery or what- but I still had to try this place out. And let me tell you- I AM GLAD I DID!.I have no idea what those people thought was wrong with this place. The atmosphere was really relaxed and a huge place! Looks like they were setting up for music that night and they previously had yoga that morning. All the beers we tried were delicious! My parents- who are wine drinkers- said they are coming back to get a growlers full of beer. I would definitely make the trip to this Brewery if you can! read more

Left Coast is another solid South County brewery. I plopped down on the couch in their tasting room and enjoyed my Saturday sipping brews and eating pretzels. The beers were good and the tasting room had that laid back Orange County vibe. I really really wanted to try the South County IPA, but they were out. I guess I will have to wait for the next batch. Anyways, I ordered an OC IPA and wasn't disappointed. The beer had a nice fruity, slightly hoppy taste and wasn't overly bitter. The OC IPA is very drinkable and I would definitely order it again. This was our second time here while visiting family. We liked it so much the first time we decided to come back and see what they had to offer. For $10 you get 6, 5 ounce pours. You do the math...not too bad. If you decided to get a glass of your favorite, the prices are super reasonable. It sits in an industrial area with loads of parking. There are high tops and regular seating with a fairly good size bar to sit at. Waitress are friendly and the owner is usually there.
