    Sausage stuffed mushrooms
    Randi B.

Husband brought me here for my big 4-0 birthday dinner. This is a cute little place tucked away in a small shopping center in an inland area of San Clemente that I never even knew existed. We chose to sit on the patio since the weather was really nice. I felt the service was a bit slow, but we were the only ones outside, so maybe they kept forgetting we were out there. It was fine though, we weren't in a rush. We started with the Burrata Crostini and it was fantastic! The balsamic glaze gave it that extra kick that took it from average to great. You are served five large pieces of bread, we took two home. For dinner he had their Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms. Six mushroom caps filled to the brim with sausage, veggies, and cheeses, baked to perfection and topped with sauce, I think it was hollandaise? They were DELISH. I had their flat iron steak, which comes with chimichurri on top, and a mixture of creamed corn, spinach, onions and roasted chiles on the bottom. WOW. I asked for it medium rare and it was spot on. The portion of steak was much bigger than I had expected. This was one of the best cuts of meat I have had in awhile, and this isn't even a steakhouse! We were too full for dessert, even though their offerings sounded great. I loved the wines I had, especially the Pinot that was recommended by the waitress. He was happy with the two beers he had. We aren't in this area too often, but I will definitely come back here next time we are!

Played a round of golf in San Clemente and just stopped in at this super fun wine bar... Stumbled inside on a Thursday night. We were so pleased with the atmosphere, there was live music playing which was so refreshing and so nice. Wonderful selection of wines... We had the blackened salmon with kale and risotto and the delicious fresh gnocchi... we decided to sit at the bar as the breeze was so nice coming through the door. We will definitely be back soon....

I would say yes- I saw a group there with their daughters after a soccer game last weekend.

It feels like a local spot with endless options to enjoy. Their baristas (Lucy is the best) can make everything but also don't shy away from suggesting something new. I've recently fallen in love with an iced flat white with vanilla for a little summer sweet treat. Their drip coffee is divine too! Talk about range... we frequent for brunch/lunch/date night too. Their wine list is truly endless. You can sit inside at the bar, at a gorgeous table with air conditioning, under their adorable pink-striped umbrellas on the patio, or in an extended patio off the sidewalk with plenty of seating. You will be treated with exceptional service regardless of seating. Their brunch menu is delicious. Their chive biscuit breakfast sandwich is incredible, as is their breakfast burrito, chilaquiles AND biscuits and gravy. To be fair, we visit most regularly for a cheese board and meat with a glass of wine. Recently enjoyed the ceviche and smash burger with side-winder fries which was hand crafted and filling. Even our young boys enjoyed every bite. On Sunday's (1st and 3rd of the month) they have live music which is wonderful. Last thing, the cellar cookie is incredible. It's hard to just drop in for a coffee and not leave with one when available. You will never regret a visit to The Cellar! One of the best places in San Clemente.

It was the kind of place where sharing plates and a bottle of wine make sense. From my visit, we tried the Charcuterie & Cheese Board, sliders, ceviche, and the Burrata Salad with grilled peach. Everything was solid, but the Burrata Salad was the clear favorite. The combination of creamy burrata with grilled peach, heirloom tomato, fresh herbs, and the bright vinaigrette had a great balance of sweet, savory, and fresh flavors. It was the dish I'd come back for. The other plates rounded out the meal well, especially for sharing, and the wine selection was a highlight. For tips, I'd come ready to share several small plates and take advantage of the wine program. Since the room can get busy, expect a more energetic experience during peak times rather than a quiet dinner. This is a good fit for date night, catching up with friends, or anyone who enjoys wine, cheese boards, and a lively downtown San Clemente setting. The only small drawback is that the busier atmosphere may not be ideal if you are looking for a calm, intimate meal.

Great service and friendly staff. Everyone is very knowledgeable and shares little tidbits about the wine while you enjoy. A few Suggestions / observations: 1. The self service wine area has a massive wine display that limits access to patrons who are there. A thin long belly bar would make it much more social and accessible. Constantly feel like I am bumping into people or wine bottles just to grab a taster then standing in a corner to get out of the way. 2. The massive LED tv's would be so nice if there was nature or a beach scene or something to set the ambiance. Having a massive advertisement of an appetizer stock photo and happy hour fliers illuminating half the store is not enjoyable, they could be utilized in a much nicer format. 3. Would love to see even more of the self serve wine tasting dispensers in the future! They are a hit and are such a fun concept.
