This took place of Penny's Fish and Chips! My family and I lived in this area when we were kids, so I remember everything in this plaza. It was nostalgic being here. My colleagues and I met with a retired colleague here for lunch one Tuesday. Parking wasn't an issue. You order, pay, seat yourself. You need to ask for utensils and I question the water because the cup I happened to pickup was dirty. I opted for a soda instead. All of us ordered burritos (barbacoa, carne asada, lengua). We loved and enjoyed all the hot sauces! Some were flavorful and packed with heat. I ordered the supper lengua burrito. It came with shredded lettuce, so a thing to note if you don't want lettuce in your burrito. The lengua was soft and tender. Everyone enjoyed their meal. We will definitely be coming back. Food: Camarones a la Diabla -- The food was very oily, the sauce was too salty, and there was even a dry ball of rice on the plate. The beans and salad were good, but the overall dish was not enjoyable. Quesibirrias -- The consomé had a significant amount of oil, the tortillas were dry with hard edges, and the meat was very oily. Tacos de Asada -- Unfortunately, the meat had a lot of fat and was dry and overly roasted. The tortillas were also cold. Customer Service: This was another disappointing part of the experience. Me experience at Los Jefes Taco was just mediocre. We went on July the 4th and it was a slow day with only a few people eating inside. We were told it was open seating and ordered at the front. My husband got the three taco plate and I got a carne sope and al pastor taco. They told us they'd bring chips and salsa out. Our chips and salsa never came until my husband's taco plate was made. My Al pastor taco came but my sope came out much later when my husband was all done with his tacos. The chips were good but the salsa was spicy and I could not eat it at all or put it on my tacos. My Al pastor taco was spicy and I had to give it to my husband to eat. Usually, Al pastor is not spicy. My carne asada sope, which is this deep fried bread, stacked with meat, cheese, lettuce, beans, etc was just okay. Some parts of the carne asada were chewy or had big pieces of fat. It did not seem like good quality meat. They didn't even give me a knife and fork for my sope and I had to go back in line. Overall, not a great experience. Some of my girlfriends were coming over to hang out, and we decided Mexican food sounded good. I found this place on Yelp with great reviews, and since it was nearby, we decided to give it a try. We ordered through DoorDash for pickup, and everything was ready right at the time requested. I even received a notification when the order was ready, which made pickup easy. One thing to note is that the restaurant is tucked away in the back of the plaza. The arrow on the sign in the front actually threw us off, and we ended up walking all around the building, past the pizza place and around the corner before finding it. It's located across from Star Aquatics and Fitness. When we walked in, there was a designated ordering area near the entrance. A couple was already being helped, but another employee quickly came over to assist us. I told her we were picking up a DoorDash order, and after asking for my name, she also asked how much salsa we wanted and generously gave us two containers of each variety. For food, I ordered the appetizer flautas and a birria taco. The flautas came with a salad-like accompaniment. The two flautas were cut in half and were smaller than I expected, but they were tasty and nicely prepared. The birria taco was packed with meat, which I appreciated, although I was hoping the meat would be a little juicier. The hot sauces were excellent, though, and definitely elevated the taco. The ladies seemed to enjoy their food as well, and there weren't any complaints from the group. It's always nice when everyone can find something they like. we placed an order online for pickup and our order was ready in about 10 mins! i got two of their tostadas and was SO full. for each being like $5, they're SO hefty that they have to give you two tostadas to hold up the weight of all the toppings LOL. i could get away with just ordering one, which is nice for my wallet!! sadly they were out of avocado at the time we ordered and so my chips and guac got refunded and my tostada was missing it. no huge biggie but was a little disappointing! my main gripe is their packaging for takeout. it's just paper plates wrapped with foil, but it was dripping everywhere when i picked it up AND the bottom was dirty (see photo). would love to see either clean, non leaky plates or sealed containers!!! read more

I overheard the chef saying he thought it was "2 tacos" instead of super nachos. It took an hour to get our food. This mexican spot is fire! I asked the cashier what should I get and he said to get the enchiladas. I went basic and ordered the regular burrito with al pastor. He said the al pastor is a good choice so I'm not mad about my decision is be basic. I was served chips and salsa on the house because I was eating there. I was given three different sauces; verde, rojo, and chipotle. They did have reapers but I get what I get and don't throw a fit. My burrito did have a lot of onion and refried beans but I can still taste the meat. It's a spacious layout with 5 booths. I think it's handicapped friendly in that sense.
