The loaded nachos were covered with toppings and absolutely were delicious. The Birria tacos were good as well as well as the steak tacos. The house margarita on taco Tuesday when we went was only five dollars and was very good as well.. The interior of the restaurant is a nice typical Mexican restaurant and the service was pretty good. We went to the restaurant in Harahan for the first time several weeks ago (the night before they closed for remodeling). The food and service were excellent! We were so excited to learn they just opened a new location in Harahan - less than ten minutes from our house! However, we just went in a bit after 7pm. We were not even sure they were open! There were only two tables occupied. The server acknowledged us and told us to sit at the far end. There we sat for three to five minutes, watching and listening to the loud conversation that server was having with the other staff, while she patiently bagged up what appeared to be a large to-go order. We finally decided to leave after we were not even given menus or had drink orders taken. We were ready to celebrate an occasion, but took our fun and hunger to a favorite Mexican restaurant off Jefferson highway. I visited for taco Tuesday, and the tacos were fire. I had the steak and ground beef, and they are big and so delicious. At $3/taco on Tuesdays, I felt like the deal was worth it. They accommodated our big group with ease, and our waitress was super patient and helpful. The restaurant was clean and nicely kept with a casual vibe. This was my first time at this location, due to the renovations at the other location, and I think I actually prefer this location. I always liked smaller restaurants. But on with the food, we're canes in on a Taco Tuesday and we're quickly seated. Bergeron was our server, and let me say he had a personality on him lol. He's very lively. We ordered a round of house margs, took a little minute but that was expected. And we were gifted some chips and salsa. We ordered some crawfish queso for an app. My friend and I decided on the same tacos lol we got carnitas and asada with a side of beans and rice. The carnitas were dry, not as good as I've had before from this company. But the asada, delicious! The like and salsa helped a lot. As Bergeron talked to the table next up us and gifted them churros, my friend and I decided to ask for some too. And that he did. Between B and the expo Wesley we tipped them for their hospitality. Most of the employees were hanging out talking , not doing much. I figured it might be shift change. The young man that waited on us got my order wrong but did have it fixed. I decided to come and check this spot out on a Saturday for lunch. I love the one in Metairie so figured why not? Decided to sit at the bar, bartender was super nice . We got two drinks, a queso, and then the Birria tacos. Overall the drinks were good, the food and queso were good. The service was also good. Bartender was also attentive. This location is a little bit more quiet than the Metairie location I'm guessing because of the neighborhood but it's all good. I will def be back! read more

I went with my friend for taco Tuesday (02/03/2026). We wasn't properly seated, given a menu , cutlery or anything. We were told to pick any table to the right of us. The host was nonchalant and didn't look like she cared at all. The tables were dirty with stuck food and crumbs on them. We were approached by a young man who actually looked like a customer lol. No apron, barely a uniform, and nothing to write orders with. Everything we asked for was completely wrong and the food was cold and soggy. It took him 3 times to actually get it right and still forgot the guacamole. On top of that, he kept giving us old chips ... saying that was apart of the Mardi Gras theme and yet every other table had fresh chips. We had a batch of brown burnt chips(I couldn't get a pic before he brung us this batch with mixed old bits) It was a bad experience but least the margarita was good I guess. I took my family there on mother's day, early before the "lunch rush" started. First of all, the atmosphere is not like the fat city location; not as festive or comfortable. The chairs we sat in looked like they belonged outside. Secondly, the waitress wasn't unfriendly, however I didn't feel like she went out of her way to make my mom feel special. Ex., She served my mom a margarita in a Styrofoam cup, when they served other alcoholic beverages in glasses. Strike 2. The entrees were pretty good but the appetizers were disappointing. The crawfish queso sounded delicious, but the cheese sauce was really thin and they had about 3 crawfish at the bottom of the dish. I really love a good salsa, but the one they serve with the tortilla chips didn't have very much flavor. Lastly, my mom and I split an entree and had 1 alcoholic drink per person and 1 appetizer. The bill was over 60 bucks and with the automatic 20% gratuity added to parties of 5 or more, it was almost 90 bucks! Having said all of that, I would probably still go back to the Severn location (only), but I would definitely make better choices. read more

Just had dinner here for the first time and it was great!!! We had the voodoo nachos which have shrimp and crawfish on them and they tasted like they were fresh out of a good New Orleans boil. Even the queso on top had a crawfish boil flavor. We also tried the taco bowl and it was the best one I've had in a while. Also great prices for such big servings we ended up taking home enough food from those two dishes to eat a couple more times! You couldn't get that much food for that price anywhere else I know of. This one is rough. I was pretty excited for a new Latin spot in Harahan. Service is done via kiosks: you order there, take a number, and tip the computer for taking your order. 2 orders of 3 tacos (chicken for me, shrimp for partner), a side of rice, chips & salsa, and drinks were ordered - this came out to $55 (before and alcohol). HUGE gripe here is that you cannot mix and match tacos, you're stuck with 3 chicken or 3 shrimp and so on. Sitting in the bar area further makes the ordering process confusing. The bartender will come up to you and actually serve you for drinks - BUT I WILL SAY shoutout to the bartender today he was the shining star of this experience. The bar area looks nice and it had lit up shelves and a few TV's. Onto food: Chips and Salsa - the chips were questionable for whether or not they are made in house. The salsa is very runny, with the prominent flavors being tomato juice, salt, and black pepper. Side of Rice - Jeeze, it's flavorless. Nothing going on here. Topped with cilantro and mushy, this was not worth the $4. Chicken Tacos - when these came out they actually looked quite sad. Flour tortillas, chicken, cheddar cheese, and chipotle ranch. Not sure, I was expecting some greenery or maybe onion? I will give credit, the chicken was fairly decent. Still, nothing to write home about. Shrimp Tacos - seems all the accruements went to my partners tacos. Flour tortillas, shrimp, sauce, cabbage slaw - these looked beautiful! Unfortunately, the taste did not live up to standard set by its looks. To make matters worse, my partner first complained of it being fishy, later stating that she felt nauseous from the shrimp. We soon left due to this. -IN CLOSING- I feel like this place is going for a "taco stand" vibe, but doesn't stick the landing. The place simply feels lifeless; save for the bartender, again a big shoutout to my man there. The food is overpriced, flavors lacking, and even giving food-borne illness on my first trip there.
