They used veal, pork & parmesan in the mix and served it with marinara, some ricotta cheese & fresh basil. This Sicilian neighbor used to make them like that with the two meats and the ricotta so my vote is authentic suburbs-style. Since I didn't order in advance, I had to wait about 15 minutes. The serving staff made sure to check on me, let me know they were working on the order, and offered me something to drink while I waited.
