We stopped here due to the high yelp reviews. We got there at 2:45, no wait to order. Prices seemed reasonable. A nice young man took our order, he was knowledgeable about the menu. Also they have fruit juice not smoothies. I had Taquitos which were yummy. Which were fresh made, hand-rolled with lots of garnish and chips. Loved the salsa bar, mild. Husband had street taco plate, which was good. It's in the center of Baker, in front of the off ramp, stop sign. Restaurant in restroom please clean. Decided to join in on the megamillions lotto so to bakers city we drove. Before our drive back to Vegas we decided to grab some Greek food but unfortunately it was closed. We saw a long line for a Mexican restaurant near by so we figured that had to be "THE SPOT"! Indeed it was. Once we arrived we didn't wait too long but while waiting we could see and smell all the delicious food heading out as you can not eat in the restaurant due to current state rules and regulations. Wait was not long at all actually and prices were pretty affordable. After waiting 5-6 minutes for our food we headed out to our car and started to devour an amazingly delicious best kept secret in the middle of the desert Mexican meal I least expected to have. WHAT A GEM!! Seriously impressed - would totally stop here again just for the food. We stopped by to charge our car and noticed that this restaurant was only 1 minute away. The food was amazing. We tried: birria tacos, quesadillas, aqua chile, asada bowl, carne asada burrito.... Real authentic Mexican food. The salsa bar was probably one of the cleanest ive ever seen. They had a good variety of salsas and pepinos. The sopes were on point and the cabeza was fire! On my way to Vegas, I've stopped here twice. The food is fresher than the fast food places nearby and is by no means low quality. I tried the Coctel de Camaron, Chicken Tacos, and burger + fries. Everything was on point, everyone ate their plates clean. The food didn't take long to come out but there was not too many people. The place is also air conditioned on the inside which helps in the desert heat. The only thing is that it is easy to miss / hard to find. First thing you notice is that they enforce all mandated safety protocols - masks, social distancing etc. Ordered the al pastor quesadilla combo (rice, beans, guacamole, sour tomatoes etc) and an asada torta combo (fries). I knew ordering al pastor in a quesadilla was going to me super messy and it was... it was also delicious! The means are very obviously home made and wonderful! Very flavorful. The asada in the torta was very fresh and tasty and the bun was soft and warm. Honestly everything was very fresh, flavorful and delicious. The prices are very reasonable and while I was waiting for my order I heard her offer a "truck driver discount" to a gentleman in his driver uniform. I thought that was wonderful! I have a feeling this will be my new stop on my monthly drives to and from Vegas. Bravo! I can't wait to go back! read more

Amazing Mexican food! This would be amazing by any standards, but doubly, triply so in the middle of the desert! We had an asada quesadilla, a pastor burrito, and the aguachile. They were all outstanding! I'm a California native and lived for a year in Mexico. This food would be outstanding anywhere! We were on our way thru Baker and decided to stop and have lunch. It was delicious! The chicken taquitos were exceptional. The carnitas street tacos were really good too. And the tostado was great. We cleaned up our plates. They have several drinks to choose from. I tied the cucumber one. I got a second cup it was so good. They also have a salsa and condiment bar to choose from. The Yelp reviews for this little jewel encouraged us to stop and so glad that we did! Had been looking for an authentic place to stop since we left Vegas and it was worth the wait. Let me start by saying it was very clean inside. We ordered the carne asada burrito with no rice was delicious with lots of flavor, the chips are very good and so was the chicken, asada and el pastor taco. They also have delicious salsa's and horchata! Jennifer was the cashier and she was very kind. Great Mexican food in a sea of mediocre fast food restaurants. This is the place to go in Baker. We enjoyed the sopes, tostadas and tacos. This place is a short 5 min walk from the Tesla and Electrify America charging stations. We stopped both directions on our drive while the Tesla was charging. The walk was fine during the day but a bit scary at night in the place where you have to cross a 2 lane bridge with the cars going by fast. After dark you could always do takeout instead. Who would have thought you would find legit Mexican food in Baker. Not me! Stopped at Los Dos Toritos for lunch on our way back home from Las Vegas and they did not disappoint. Pass up the alien jerky and other restaurants and head here. Los Dos Toritos is definitely a hidden gem. This restaurant is a hole in the wall with several tables inside. Parking is scare, with just several spaces right outside. Service is super friendly. You order and pay at the counter, but your food is brought to your table. Their salsa bar was stocked with spicy and mild salsas, cilantro, onions, and peppers. My favorite was the green salsa. I ordered a carnitas sopes and steak taco. The sopes was not too thick and was soft on the inside yet crispy on the outside. Even though it was also topped with refried beans, lettuce, cheese, and guacamole, the carnitas still managed to stand out. The carnitas was crispy and seasoned well. The taco was also really good. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. Topped with onion and cilantro from the salsa bar, you had one authentic taco. The taco also came with a side of tortilla chips. They were fresh and not oily. Went well with the salsas! I also tried the chocolate flan, which wasn't bad. It essentially tasted like regular flan on top of chocolate cake. When I pulled in for energy I scouted the area and spotted this gem. I remember thinking, I bet that's legit! For those that have been to this place you know there isn't much branding outside. Besides the 4.5 stars from over 500 reviews, the outside keeps the drama out and invites us foodies in! Their burrito was so damn good this fat ass almost went up for seconds. Their salsa bar with pickled vegetables was fire too. Not being able to contain my amazement I made it a point to go back to the counter to tell the cashier just how legendary this spot was. She mentioned it's her father's spot, he's in the kitchen. I asked her to tell him, this spot's incredible and I'm going to tell the world. There's few things I appreciate more than another quality focused craftsman who puts every bit of them into their work. Too many are lazy hands held out today.
