My daughter & I went to the Parker location last weekend & it was so good that I wanted to try the one closer to our home with the Hubby. It did not disappoint. When you first walk in, the energy is upbeat, yet chill. There's an impressive bar to the left and straight ahead is the host desk where a nice young gentleman greeted us with a big genuine smile. The vibes in A place is EVERYTHING to me. And this spot's on point. I love that they have booth & tables, with the traditional Mexican decor: lively colorful and beautiful. We were immediately seated, followed by our chips & salsa (which has a kick). The waitress was quick to get my drink order, which is a whole star for me. Gimme that spicy house marg with tajin rim & I'm cool as a cucumber. Speaking of cucumber, they had a cucumber marg I gotta try next time. Their 27oz (quite large) House Marg is $12 & I asked her if she could make it spicy with a tajin rim. It was PERFECT. I'm a marg snob & this was heaven to me. The perfect spicy sour shock to your lips followed by spicy sweet sour. I love when they put jalapeño slices in it versus chunks. No need to muddle them, just sllice em & drop em in. We came here for cinco de Mayo bc it was my bday weekend and the wait was INSANE. That being said, I had a wonderful time! I have never been here and honestly don't usually go to Mexican restos, bc I can make the food at home, but like I said it was my bday weekend and my babies and I were hungry. Upon being seated, we were greeted by a friendly server and given chips and salsa, which my children tore up from the floor up because they were starving. Now, I had WLS so I knew I couldn't stuff myself with the delicious chips and salsa, but I digress, I was hongry! Out came my margarita and it was tasty, a bit strong, but I am now a weakling when it comes to alcohol. This place is good for families or for just adults. It's loud so having kiddos with you is good, I was a bit stressed at first, bc my kids aren't angels, but also not loud devils, and this place hit the mark. On top of all this goodness, someone actually paid for our meal! Like, how sweet is that? I'm not gonna lie, I cried. Came here on a sunny Saturday while Colorado Springs was hit with snow. Go figure denver actually had better weather, wild. Anyways. Came for lunch and had a great time. Los Dos Holly has lost its way. We have been coming to this location for years and have always enjoyed the hot salsa and consistent food. We ordered foot to go once a week for over a year during Covid and appreciated the flavor from several of their popular items. Unfortunately that's not the case at this location anymore. The salsa was water down without the traditional Los Dos flavor and the chips were bland. My wife ordered the seafood tacos which loves and they were completely lacking any flavor. The Huevos Divorcados I ordered also was bland and tasteless along with the green chile. Not sure if it is the cooks are they lost the recipes but we won't be returning any time soon. I must add that we eat at the Highlands Ranch and Parker locations and they still are serving flavor food thankfully. I love Los Dos and this is the first location I ever went to after I moved to Denver. Since then though, I feel like this location has gone downhill a little bit. They were super packed on a Friday night, which is expected. We ordered drinks at the bar while waiting the 45 minutes for a table to become available. That was all good and we actually found a little round table to huddle at and sip our delicious margaritas. We were eventually sat and the server took our drink order for refills and an appetizer. After that, she seemed to have disappeared. We finally tracked her down to order entrees. They arrived by a food runner and we never saw our server again until we finished our meal. She was just MIA. I know they were busy but you should at least check on your tables once or twice. We had to ask other people working for things like silverware and refills on water. She didn't want to admit she was wrong so she took the drink and came back to the table to tell me the blood orange margarita is nasty blended but she could do it on the rocks. This has become our 'fix' for Mexican food in the area, though it's not the greatest we've ever had having lived in So Cal and spent time in parts of Mexico, it's good food. You'll see ladies standing and making homemade tortillas, which is a sign of a family business and holding onto the culture of the food. The restaurant is always busy, but you can get seated reasonably fast any time of day. Wait staff is usually friendly and on it, getting food and drinks out to you quickly. When it comes to the food, most items are quite tasty, especially the fajitas, enchiladas and a decent chili Relleno. One tip with the tacos, don't get the ground beef, which is their default taco! It tastes like a slight upgrade from Taco Bell. Ask for the shredded beef or chicken instead, it's a whole different experience and delicious. Probably the biggest downfall over our many visits has been the hosting staff, as we have yet to meet one that was smiling and genuinely happy to be there, but once you're seated, it's a good experience all around. read more

They forgot the tortillas for the fajitas and the salad was completely deconstructed with some of the ingredients combined with other ingredients for the meals with others (two servings of guacamole in one container, for example). Restaurant was not busy. 10 servers walked by and completely ignored us until we had to ask for chips for the salsa that was already at the table. Margaritas were way too sweet. Order was delivered to us wrong by server. Had to send back. Ordered fajitas to go and received chicken versus steak and no tortillas included. We thought the green chili was very bland compared to normal. For the price they charge for meals there are definitely better options out there. So sad to see this place go down hill as it used to be a weekly spot for us. We definitely will not be going back. We always rave to everybody that this is the best Los Dos in town but we were extremely underwhelmed and disappointed about our whole experience today. For drinks, I got their horchata and my gosh, it was AMAZING. It was sweet and you can really taste the grains behind it. I tried their steak street tacos. Personally, I thought it was okay, it wasn't my favorite. I found the steak to be a bit bland for my liking but the char on it was perfect. The salsa that came with the chips and taco was spicy!!
