Finally got the chance to try this bucket list spot. It's in the quaint Old Town area of San Clemente. It's a nice spot in the center of the plaza. Since it was my first time I ask the staff what their favorites were. They suggested a couple different burritos, which were delicious.

Two of these in Anaheim But the san Clemente location just opened and it is impressive. No beer yet but a steady stream of customers. We got the chili verde burrito and it was medium spicy and loved the crispy grilled exterior.

We stopped by Los de Juarez Burritos, which has only been open about a week, and were really impressed! We tried the birria, chicken en chipotle, and deshebrada burritos, and each one had great flavor. The fresh flour tortillas really make a difference. The salsas were flavorful too, with just the right amount of kick, and we paired everything with Mexican Cokes. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, which was completely reasonable considering everything is made fresh. The restaurant has a cute, clean interior, and the staff was friendly. It's always exciting to find a new local spot that's off to such a strong start. We'll definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the burrito menu!

Love that this space is finally being occupied after being vacant for so long. Even more pleased to see what was going in when they announced the news. The burritos looked amazing online and after waiting patiently I can say they taste amazing too. The tortillas are fresh & delicious, the fillings are seasoned very well ( my husband ordered chicharrón, I had the Chile relleno with shrimp and we shared a bean & cheese) and their salsas are both good. We will be back to try other flavors and test out their breakfast burritos too. This place is in the old town area so parking can be a bit of a struggle but they also have a parking lot right next door.

If you're wondering if they taste as good as the look, it's a resounding HECK yes. We tried their Birria, chile verde, chicharrón, chile colorado, and shrimp burritos and were delighted by each one. Fresh, piping hot, and full of flavor. It's not often that I find myself more impressed by a green salsa over a red but WOW. Bright, smokey, the perfect compliment to the comfort food burritos Staff is absolutely lovely, plenty of seating to come and enjoy them inside. Very excited to try their breakfast burritos (served til 12) and happy this place has arrived to SC

Tried a new spot in town and we're so glad we did! They specialize in fling skinner longer burritos, and everything we tried was delicious. We had the bean and cheese, chili verde, and chile relleno burritos each one was packed with flavor and made fresh. Their green salsa was a highlight full of flavor and the perfect addition to the burritos. The staff was very friendly, and the inside of the restaurant is decorated beautifully with such a fun, welcoming vibe. It's clear they put a lot of thought into creating a great experience. Definitely a great new addition to town, and we'll be back to try more!

First time here! The burrito was very fresh, savory, flavorful, and delicious. Also, there was good service, nice atmosphere with upbeat music, and I had an excellent experience today.

Actually very decent ! I managed a restaurant and when the cashier did a table touch I mentioned I didn't really like one of the burritos and I'm definitely not expecting free food but a little more consideration of sort, to atleast try and see what I didn't like about it, Birria and the breakfast one were good. The cafe de ola was phenomenal

Man, my new favorite burrito spot! They are genius with the portion sizes and prices. Very reasonably priced for what you get. Two portions basically make one FAT burrito if that's what you're looking for , but honestly, one leaves you perfectly content. The staff is super friendly, and the place is very clean with a simple San Clemente Spanish-style design. You can tell the business was really well thought out. I've already been here twice since they opened, and the quality has been consistent both times. Thanks for coming to San Clemente! Definitely coming back.

Ate here last week. Food was good but it took exactly 47 minutes from the time we ordered for the two burritos to arrive. I'd have eaten a three course meal at a sit down restaurant in that time anywhere else in town. Has promise if they can work out the issues in service.

Super simple and pretty good. Overall I'd eat here again. I just wish they had crema or something like that to add.

The dishes are creative, upscale, and very well done. It's a little on the pricey side, but the quality is there, so you don't feel too bad about it until the credit card notification shows up. The bar is one of the highlights. Great drinks and even better bartenders who actually know what they're doing. We've been here several times, and the service has always been fantastic--friendly, attentive, and consistent. If you want traditional Mexican food, there are plenty of other choices. If you want really good Mexican-inspired food, a great cocktail, and a fun night out, Asada is definitely worth a visit. Just don't expect taco-truck prices. Apparently, nice shirts cost extra.

She never asked if we wanted a refill on the empty chip bowl. 2. We ordered 2 cokes. The one and only time she came over, she refilled our cups with diet coke. Our food was given to us by a runner who asked if everything was okay so we told him about the drink mixup. About 15 mins later she comes with 2 'cokes' saying they had to change the bag. Those drinks as well tasted like diet coke. So we had nothing to drink with our meals. By the way the receipt said 2 diet cokes! 3. We also noticed that she didn't go to her other table there was two other girls eating tacos she never went to them never went to the other table only went to them after everything was done and said never asked anyone if they needed anything never asked howd everything how's it going. 4. I've been here plenty of times and I've never gotten fresh hot towels while I'm eating the dinner like she wanted us out and never felt so much like un wanted rushed out! 5. We always order dessert we love the butter cake but we didn't order one because I waited was so bad I just felt like I didn't want to stay there another minute... 6. Other servers asked if we wanted more chips unlike ours. 7. When I finally get the bill we looked at the listed items and of course it said 2 Diet Cokes when she lied and said they were regular Cokes well how did two Diet Cokes get on the bill then if she didn't put them in as two Diet Cokes!!!! 8. The final thing I will say about this place is when we go to Disneyland we drive an hour to come here we always love this place always order the same thing always get the best experience ever but today was straight up awful...

Started with the Avila's Appetizer which consisted of bite size shredded beef taquitos, shredded chicken flautas, shredded beef tacos, and a quesadilla, served with a side of sour cream and guacamole. Everything was great, the chicken flautas were our favorite item on the sampler but everything was good! For my main I tried the Tampiquena, 4oz carne asada served with a cheese enchilada as well as rice and beans. It was really good, my leftovers tasted even yummier the next day! Great little town to explore. This was our lunch spot. We had already walked for a couple hours. Avila's is a beautiful restaurant and fairly spacious. There is parking on both sides of the street among the shops on Avenida del mar. We were really thirsty and the busboy, Christian, got us 3 iced teas and chips like within 2 minutes. Super nice. Rafael was our waiter, and we ordered quickly. 1. Two taco combo platter, chicken and shredded beef. 2. Tacos and Caldo, my friend ordered with tacos. 3. Mama Avila's soup which came with chicken and lots of other things, and a tortilla. All 3 were delicious and filling. I always get a two taco combo plate since I love this meal, and to compare to other restaurants. This was great. The tacos perfect and flavorful. We will come back. Next time I will order the fajitas. I believe this is a chain with like 10 stores or so, so check to see if any are in your area. A very nice lunch with two fine lady friends as well. Thx Rafael for always checking on us and the iced teas to go.
