Food 10/10 excellent.. service not too good. It's been my second time today coming in to the restaurant and we've been served by the same lady. She has an attitude when serving her tables. She should get trained on how to serve her customers properly. I felt uncomfortable because shes was serving us showing her armpits. I was able to see them when she was reaching over the table to leave our food they were not clean at all. Her shirts are see through. we don't need to see underneath clothes or chest tattoos. Hygiene is very important for us customers. Please management, have you server not show us her armpits or chest tattoos again bad experience . Other than that great food. read more

I hate to see a new restaurant not be at its best with their food in the beginning because it will only get worse. Their huge sign outside said $8.99 a pound. Went there for breakfast; they advertise both Mexican and American dishes for breakfast. our American selection was mediocre at best. The breakfast ham consisted of two slices of packaged-style cold cut ham, grilled to be warm. Eggs ordered "over medium" were over-cooked; the yolks were hard and dry and the edges of the whites were brown & crunchy. The fried potatoes were good, but the serving was about 1/3 bell pepper, a personal dislike. Part way through the meal someone came and started doing something with the P.A. System. It went from silent to deafening again and again. When he got the volume set, it was far too loud, & we were barely able to carry on a conversation. We do not plan to return. read more

Went here Friday night as a last Resort since everywhere else was really busy. It wasn't really busy but because most of the restaurant was set up for a party the next day, everyone was sat in the back area. Sat down and shortly after chips were brought to our table. The chips were shiny and wet looking as if they just came out of the frier but were cold. We looked over the menu and placed our orders, Enchiladas with just rice, a quesadilla, and quesaburria tacos with an additional side of rice. I saw the server bringing a tray of food that he placed down on an empty Table and brought us 1 of our 3 meals. Tried to give us the other items on the tray but those were not ours. Next the second plate of food came out later And finally the plate of enchiladas came out, completely incorrect. The order was for 1 green enchilada and 1 red enchilada with just rice, no beans due to an allergy. The plate of enchiladas brought out had what looked like both red and green sauces mixed together and half the plate was Covered in beans. I politely said this wasn't what I had ordered so it was taken back to be corrected. Besides the incorrect enchiladas, the side of rice was also forgotten. Meanwhile, everyone at the table was able to eat their food while I waited. The second time my plate came out the enchiladas looked as I had ordered but the plate still had beans, which again I'm ALLERGIC to. I again politely let them know I had ordered my Plate with no beans and sent it back. The By the third time my food came out, everyone at our table was finished eating. I looked over my plate and this time it appeared to finally be as I had ordered it, until I started moving things around. What the kitchen had done was simply taken the enchiladas off the previous plate and stuck it on a new plate With rice, leaving the same enchiladas that were Just sitting in the beans on the plate. Which AGAIN made them inedible for me. When the waitress came Over to check on our table she said she wouldn't charge the enchiladas which was as it should be since I didn't eat them. Instead during the long wait I had eaten one of someone else's tacos. We got the check and I gave cash to pay. When the change came back I was short changed and not given the coins but only the dollars. Not a huge deal but it was almost 50 cents and if that is happening to several people over The day then that adds up to a larger Amount over time. None of the food ordered was very good, and the amount of time we spent waiting for the quality wasn't worth it. By the time we All got home, we were having to fight over the bathroom. All of us ended up with stomach aches. We will not go back to this place again. Terrible food and no regard for people with allergies, serving them something that can clearly make them sick, and short changing people who pay cash. Save your money and go Somewhere that actually has good edible food. read more

I'm giving 5 stars, for there curbside pickup and great customer service. I needed beans for a dinner and didn't have time to make my own (plus I don't like canned frijoles) so I called the restaurant my roommate likes here in town and they would sell me their frijoles for a couple bux a serving. $12+ for 5 persons. Wow! Then I remembered Los Couates (sp?) and called them. They charged me 6.50 for a huge container. It was really more than I needed but I just planned to have them on leftovers night. They were delicious and got eaten up that night! I got some great rice/same price and on impulse got some very fresh chicarones. I'll be a regular costomer. I recently rented out the restaurant for a party. Irma, the accountant, was supportive and responsive every step of the way prior to my event. Don Juanito, the owner, bent over backwards for me and my party, purchasing new silverware and accommodating to our needs. Maria, the manager, was an angel. Her service, punctuality to my agenda/timeline and constant communication throughout my event were impeccable. The food we ordered for our party was exquisite. Our guests all commented how delicious the dishes were. The bar service was fantastic as well. I definitely recommend this venue for your next party! Great food and great service! read more

I've only had the quesabirria tacos but they are greasy and delicious!!! My husband likes their carne asada tacos and my daughter had the bean and cheese burrito. Their salsa is disappointing. Needs to be chunkier with more veggies it lacks flavor. A pretty solid Mexican restaurant. read more

The place is spacious and they have a nice centered bar to sit in. The ambiance is great. They had music, not live, but great music playing. I don't know how they can justify charging people $18.99 for lunch. If they had steak or seafood, or something worth that price than ok. But nope. My mom went before the grand opening and they had a senior discount. When we all went as a family they said they no longer do the senior discount. Really? Within less than a week they get rid of a senior discount? Talk about greedy. My mom liked this place, after we ate here we said she can go alone because we won't be back. The employee at the front was very rude and didn't care about customers, she had a rotten attitude. The girls who were making the tortillas in the back left were chatting and ignoring customers if anyone had questions about what something was. The food is not "authentic Mexican food". It is a mixture of a bunch of random crap. They have an area that is like the cold Sizzler bar. This is a new all you can eat joint in Gilroy and it's specialized in Mexican food. I went to their soft opening on the very first day they opened, for the price of more than $21 for dinner, I was expecting lots of variety and quality food selection. What I got was nothing more than frozen food on a warmer. Have you ever see hotdog offered as a dinner choice, in what supposedly a Mexican restaurant? Neither have I, but then again I couldn't recognize if it was truly a hotdog or some long dark and skinny chorizo next to the bottles of mustard and ketchup. The rest of the food were no different and most definitely were not impressive either. Everything was very mediocre and nothing really scream out as authentic Mexican food. I gave this place some benefits of the doubts since I it was its first day, so I decided to come back a few weeks later. Unfortunately, nothing changed! Selections are still limited and still not very many Authentic Mexican food. I think the owner is a bit confused on what they want to serve here. Having been a native Gilroy resident, if you are going to bring all you can eat, bring something good and authentic and you'll score big among the folks here. We only have a semi-decent Asian Buffet here in Gilroy so I don't mind supporting an authentic Mexican buffet but just don't bring a half-ass and confused all you can eat restaurant in this town. If you continue as you are, please at least cut the price in half to meet the quality and selection of food that you are offering. If you plan on going here, have your expectations low. I came here with a party of 4 and a preschooler. For a new restaurant, their high chairs were filthy and sticky. I was 85% sure that they kept the ones from Home Town Buffet because they were very old. They do not have enough staff to remove your used plates so if you have a bigger party, expect to make a tower of dirty plates. The food was a joke. Strangely enough, there was no taqueria food (no burritos, tacos or tortas). Food was taken a whole lot faster then it was coming out. Its about 50% Mexican food and 50% typical buffet food (pizza, fried chicken, chicken nuggets, mashed potatoes). It is about a 10-minute wait in a line for corn tortillas and pupusas. The desert was terrible. Your choices are jello or pie. For $18.99/person, you can definitely get money well spent elsewhere. read more

All the other food tasted like it was cooked the day before and warmed back up! We sat and ate what we could handle and realized how disgusting our seating was and the area around us! Indoor and outdoor dinning, nothing wrong with the food the food is great! The only issue is that the waitresses take their time, don't pay attention to your order, and have a bad attitude.
