Even when I bring new people here who have never been here before, they always hands down say they can't wait to come back and ask when we are going again so they can come with! This place is a little hole in the wall, but that's what makes it extra special. Their menus are digital only, so be sure to bring your phone with you so you can look up the QR code to access their website. The pisco sours are awesome, every time we come here we order at least a half pitcher. I've tried a variety of things from the menu, and so far I'm having a hard time finding something I don't like. The Sauteed Lomo Steak is awesome, so is any version of their Fried Rice, including one of my absolute favorites- the Pork ribs & fried rice with the fried sweet plantain. The green cilantro sauce they serve on the side of many of their dishes is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. It's so good! I've tried to duplicate this many times at home, but the version at Chef Paz is always better. If you have room after eating your fabulous meal, the tres leches cake is amazing. They don't keep late hours, so be mindful of when you're planning your visit. On Friday & Saturdays they close at 8pm, and Sunday's they close even earlier at 5pm.

If you haven't tried Peruvian food, don't let that stop you from giving this place a try! The empanadas are AMAZING! Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. And that green sauce... WOW! It's a must-try and the perfect addition to the empanadas. Honestly, I could go back just for those! We also tried the beef stew, which was full of flavor and had that comforting, homemade, cooked-with-love taste. We sampled a little bit of everything, and each dish offered something different and delicious. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly and professional, and the whole experience feels warm and welcoming.

Drinks are 20oz bottles or cans with typical selection with some LATAM favorites like Aloe, Jumex juice and Apple Soda Empanada was tasty. Filling was cold. We had the Carne Asada and Badeja Paisa. Both very tasty, Chicharrón was fatty but given the quality of what's available in this country I can't expect what I get in Bogotá. Was disappointed no Pantecones or Arepas kinda Colombian staples.

We struggled with the strong bleach smell trying to eat our meal. We also ran out of beverages, and we were 1 of 2 tables in there. The chips looked and tasted like they were out of a bag, which is disappointing because it's not hard to make fresh chips. They had 4 different salsas which were tasty which was good because their food had little flavor. The rice and beans didn't even have any seasoning on them. The steak tacos didn't have much flavor either, so it was good that we had our choice of the salsas to use. The steak was without fat or gristle so that was a plus. My husband ordered a burrito that he said was bland and dry. It was good that they had to salsas but the food lacked seasoning or the flavor I expected from a restaurant with flavor in the name. I am willing to give them another try and order something different, but my husband isn't so willing.

We dined in and their establishment is kept clean and it's well decorated. If a place serves horchata you know I have to try it and they pass the horchata test (not too sweet, hint of cinnamon, and no chalky aftertaste). They bring out chips and salsa to start. The salsa had a slight kick to it but nothing unbearable for my tastebuds. I had their chicken tacos minus the Pico. They still put the Pico. But besides that the chicken was well seasoned and nice and juicy. They really fill their tacos. I got double the rice instead of pinto beans. We also tried their beef Empanadas which were delicious but they will definitely fill you up. The bowl holds a lot of food and the flavors were good. The chicken by itself wasn't my favorite, they may have overcooked it but since everything else was good Ill give it a pass. Overall a good place to stop and get a bite to eat.
