It's in a shopping center anchored by a Mexican grocery store. The restaurant itself is pretty much the same as the one near us as far as size and decor. It does have more tables. She chose a tacos birria, which she enjoyed in Odenton. She said they were just as good here. I was unable to get carnitas in Odenton, but I got a carnitas bowl here and it was good. I would have like a little more meat, and for the meat to have a little more spice. But the rest of it was fresh and it was all quite tasty. Plus it made 2 meals at home since it's such a large bowl. The service was pleasant; order at the counter and the food is brought out. It was quick and hot. Plenty of parking that's free.

The way it's set up is you look at the menu and then order at the counter. They then bring the food to you. I got three tacos and two pupusas. While waiting for my food, piping hot, beautiful entree dishes were being delivered to other tables. I need to return to try more. My food was great and my friends enjoyed theirs too. The only thing that I didn't love was that they don't have complimentary cups of water. You can either bring in your own water bottle, or pau $1.75 for one of theirs. They have other beverage options but I'm a water fan, personally.

The service was on point, quick, welcoming, and they actually guided me toward something great instead of just taking the order. Went with the Plato Brian and it was the right call. Everything on the plate was flavorful, well-cooked, and satisfying without feeling sloppy. The handmade tortillas really sealed it for me, there's something about that fresh, slightly imperfect texture that just hits different. Took me straight back to homemade meals. Had to try the pupusas too, cheese & pork is my go-to, and these delivered. Crispy outside, packed with flavor inside. Also, I've been searching for a good horchata around the DMV, and this one is definitely up there. Smooth, not chalky, and a little sweet (which I personally prefer). Big bonus: I grabbed food to-go for my wife, who's vegetarian, and they had legit options, not just an afterthought. She tried the spinach, loroco & cheese, and bean & cheese pupusas, plus the Salvadoran breakfast, and was impressed. This is the kind of place that does the basics really well, and that's what keeps people coming back.

It's always crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just right. I usually keep it simple and get it with salad or vegetables, and it hits every time. So delicious. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, and they stay pretty busy with both dine-in and carryout orders, which is always a good sign. It is located in a sketchy part of Laurel, so just be mindful of that when you're heading over. But overall, if you're craving authentic Salvadorian food, this spot is definitely worth it.

My brother ordered a horchata and I ordered an Apple juice to start. No alcohol at this establishment. Thankfully my AJ came in bottled and I sipped my brother's horchata which was sweet & delightful. We ordered fries for our appetizer (menu is entirely Spanish so look online) then we proceeded to order our main dishes to share- Birria quesadilla, birria tacos, steak & cheese quesadilla and a side of plantains. All came out hot and all sauces were provided without having to ask. Our waitress was sweet and we ended Sibling Saturday with some churros that came with a side of caramel sauce. One thing for sure, you will leave with a to-go bag. Give El Patron a try, don't be fooled by the parking lot.

Tacos will run about four bucks a piece, but they are totally worth it. My wait time was about 10 minutes for my three tacos. Also, the tacos are jammed packed with plenty of meat and other fixings. Since the restaurant (or maybe it's more of an eatery) has only two tables, it might be a bit tough to dine in. During my visit, most folks seemed to order their tacos to go. Fortunately for me, there was one available table so I could enjoy my tacos inside rather than having to eat them in my car (something that I hate doing). I was even pleasantly surprised that my tacos were served on a real plate. I was expecting something like a styrofoam container, like how the taco trucks do it. While I would not go out of my way (more than 10-15 minutes), I definitely would visit again the next time I have a taco craving and in the area.

It was easy to order, hooray for pictures, if you want to pick something else. My goddaughters love the pupusas here too! They were here a few days ago and brought us some home, hot and fresh!
