So far so good! I saw "fresh Mexican grill" on their sign and I had to try it out. There were no customers here on a Saturday evening so, I took my time to study the menu board. It is very easy to read: burritos- taco - nachos. The set up is very similar to Chipotle or Moe's where you pick your meat and add your toppings. I opted for the steak burritos. The prices for the burritos comes with 3 regular size flour tortillas. The steak was cooked right in front of me on a griddle. The steak was chopped in bite size and was pretty tender. You have the option of putting rice, beans, lettuce, Mexican cheese, salsa, sour cream and guacamole (for extra charge). You also get chips and salsa with your meal. So how did it taste? Pretty good! Very disappointed. I ordered 3 things: the carnitas tacos that should have came with rice and beans. A kids chicken taco that came with rice and a cheese quesadilla that came with rice. The tacos came with NOTHING on them. No lettuce, no tomato, no onion, no cheese, NOTHING. it was so plain and boring. Only meat and the shell. I found this little restaurant about a year and a half ago and fell in love with their shrimp tacos with a few substitutions. I then added their seafood burrito bowl to my "usual" order and I was a happy soul.... until yesterday. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never set foot in this place again. One thing I really liked was the fact that they knew me by my order. No one else orders the shrimp tacos the way I do. I came in and ordered my usual. While the food was just placed on the grill, I ran to the restroom. I literally was only gone for a couple of minutes and came back expecting the meat to be coming off the grill and ready for me to add my toppings. They had already made the tacos and the seafood burrito, bagged it up and we're waiting for me to check out! Now, the place was empty around 5 p.m. so there was no rush to get the order done. I informed them that I thought they recognized me as a regular customer and knew not to complete the order the usual way. I come in about every couple of weeks like clockwork. The same guys take my order, cook it and prep it. They had to make my order over as there are some things I just don't like. The tall gentleman working the cash register was quite irritated with the fact that the order has to be remade. I apologized and told them that I assumed they knew me or, at least, the order. He spoke to me in a very irritated voice and said "next time, you need to tell us" and incoherently mumbled the rest. First, he threw the towel he was holding, in disgust. Then he said what he said to me, without even looking directly at me. Then, without even washing his hands, he commenced to putting the rice and vegetables in the burrito bowl tray. He gave me two skimpy servings of rice that didn't even cover the bottom of the bowl. He continued giving me really skimpy servings of cheese, pico de Gallo and guacamole... far different from the usual way they make their bowls. When I asked for a little more pico de gallo... he snapped and said "that's extra!" I was so tempted to just walk out the door but I think that the shock of it all clouded my judgement. I was mortified by his attitude! Just because you had to remake two orders??! He is the same guy that hurt his foot and was rolling around on one of those knee carts/walkers for a while. I may not know your name but I definitely remember faces. As long as I have been coming to this restaurant and ordering the same damn thing, why don't you remember my face or at least, the order?? I go to Dunkin' for my coffee. It's weird and specific. They know me the moment I walk in or hear the order. And I actually go to Los Burritos MORE than Dunkin'! I was so offended by this disrespectful, shocking treatment. I don't know what's more upsetting.... the rude behavior, the skimpy portions or the fact that the cashier prepped food without washing his hands. For smaller businesses, building great rapport with customers produces REPEAT BUSINESS. You may not know my name but being greeted with a familiar "ola" or "hello" goes a long way and matters to me. I can cook everything on their menu myself, anyway. I just liked watching the guys on the grill, the atmosphere and the readiness of the food. After last evening, it's a NO BUENO for me. read more

I had the texacono and it was delicious. I really don't like the sauce that places put on top but I enjoyed this one. Came with a little side salad, salsa and some white sauce with chips. Honestly I was worried before we walked in. It is in a nice area I was just worried it wouldn't be authentic. Took me back to the west coast. The rice is good and the ratio to meat with everything is great. They cook the food all right in front of you. They were wearing mask and so were most customers. The seating in opening you want to eat in the establishment. The salsa has great flavor and spice. The customer service was good. I will definitely come here again. My only complaint is I live 45 mins away in Elizabeth city so open another in my little town! read more

So its my first time here at Los Burritos. This place used to be happy day donuts . This is located right across from the Coast Guard Exchange in Greenbrier. When i went inside the restaurant, it wasn't busy at all . But as soon as i got my food and sat down that's when it got packed. The atmosphere is chill , quiet .. and spacious . The food was great . I had the burrito california . For the choice of protein it was chicken or steak . Of course i had the steak . It comes with beans, rice and it's also covered with cheese dip . Along with that You also get a salad on the side plus chips & salsa . I got some guacamole too even though it was .90 extra . The serving portions were really big . They have a nice variety of fresh veggie and sauces to choose from . This place reminds me of chipotle , but I'd say its more authentic. They actually cook your protein on the grill and heat up the tortilla on the grill versus chipotle!!!!! Chipotle protein is already cooked and u just choose what you want on ur burrito bowl or burrito . This place overall is great . I would love to come back and try different things on the menu . This is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at. If I could afford it I would eat there every day. Their food is delicious and consistent and I've never had a bad meal. They started offering alcohol and I was able to enjoy a margarita with my burrito and it was divine!! Finally!!!!!! Some fresh mex with a little more authenticity near home. Came here not knowing what to expect. It's a hidden gem since it's tucked away behind cracker barrel on the corner of jarman and crossways. Very unassuming from the outside but very clean and festive on the inside. The man behind the counter immediately greeted us and asked us it was our first time. I felt he made an effort to get to know us and make us something we would enjoy. Menu is simple. What form - burrito, taco, nachos, taco salad, quesidilla.. then what meat... steak, beef, chickenc, carnitas, shrimp or veggie. Their queso appears homemade and is addictive. Their steak is well seasoned and their guacamole is simple bit nonetheless very tasty. I only wish they sold horchata and I would be officially addicted. Nothing special about this place. It is a mix between Chipotle and a Mexican restaurant. The menu didn't clearly list the cost of extras such as queso. I got a steak burrito bowl. Have to say I don't see what all the rage is about this place. I stopped here today for the first time and had a burrito for lunch. I was the only customer there while ordering though some others did stagger in while I was eating. I waited patently while the lady behind the counter finished her conversation with an unseen lady in the back. I requested a beef burrito and she proceeded to put some beef and my wrap on the grill to heat them up. Once the wrap was softened I had her add pinto beans, rice, pico, lettuce, cheese and cilantro. Then she added the beef from the grill and rolled it up. I added a cup of tea to the order and it came out to..... $11 plus change. For a f'n burrito? You gotta be kidding me. There's some serious nickle and diming going on here. I filled my cup and took a seat. Upon unwrapping the burrito the thing almost fell apart. It wasn't wrapped tight at all. I ended up cutting it in half and had well... a tasty yet very sloppy lunch. All in all, the food was good. Service was so so. Honestly i don't think you're really getting your money's worth here. You can definitely get the same meal, same portions and quality cheaper at other places around the area. Solid 2.5 stars. read more

Tried this place for our 1st time with my sister and cousin. Located in a small shopping center across from Michael's craft store. I wanted to try this place out bc i always pass by it when I go to Michael's or the movies. They have colored stucco walls that give interest to the place, adorned by beautiful wall art pieces. FOOD TIME!!! They have an option to make your food (Chipotle style) for $7.99, but They also have specials written on a board, and I chose the Hawaiian Quesadilla. Is consisted of a choice of protein: Chicken/Steak, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, and pineapples. Accompanied with rice, and salad topped with guacamole and Sour cream, and chips comes with a salsa, but ordered the Queso dip for our chips too! It was alot food, I couldn't even finish it. Everything was great, cooked fresh made to order, and the owner Alberto, was very generous and friendly towards us. We will definitely be back and with more friends and family! read more
