I was a little nervous to eat here given the not so great reviews so I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. I got the pastor tacos plate which came with three tacos and a huge plate of rice and beans on the side. The meal was very large. The pastor tasted delicious and came with pineapple chunks that paired perfectly. We also got the jalapeño margarita which was very good and their famous soft serve margarita which was also really delicious. The waitress we had was very nice and helpful. They were kind and let us keep eating and chatting even after they had closed for the night. I really appreciated not being rushed out the door. I've had bad burritos, but the XL California burrito I had tonight is easily the worst burrito I've ever had. I went into this restaurant, and asked the gentleman at the front, how the chile rellenos were prepared, and he told me with peppers, ground beef and shredded cheese. This sounded perfect, so i told him that I would be back after I picked up some items from the local Kroger. When I went back he placed my order, and since it sounded so good I told him to put in an extra one. When I got home, all I had was three globs of cheese, no pepper and no meat. When I called and spoke with the manager, he said I would have to bring it back to get satisfaction. I told him that I live in Atlanta, and do not frequent this side of town often. This was our first time visiting, and we went on a Saturday around 1:00. I loved that they offered a lunch special--even on a Saturday! I ordered the fajitas, and my husband had the quesadillas. Los Bravos is one of my go to spots for Mexican food! The service is always fast and the food is great. I tried this special margarita they had with a mini wine bottle inside and it was delicious. I've been going to Los Bravos since college and honestly it hasn't changed much. You can't get really specific here sadly because if you've been to a basic American style Mexican restaurant then you already know what to expect. Los Bravos isn't anything "special" per say but it is good food and good drinks for a good price and a good time. I won't go through what you can order on the menu, as mentioned... it's the same menu everywhere! A slight difference is their Bravos special which is their most popular dish for a reason - simplicity. It's your choice of protein (Steak, Shrimp, Chicken - or a combo) over Spanish rice, some onions, and queso. It's delicious and about $10 depending on your protein choice. Chips and salsa are free. The margaritas are really what get me coming back here though. They're strong, they're delicious. And its simple. If you're looking for a place to kick back with your friends and enjoy simple non-expensive food with good drinks? Los Bravos is your place. Our go-to spot for Mexican. I love their salsa (it's spicy but good flavor) and they have good margaritas (not from a mix). We love the Carne Asada and Fajitas. Idk why y'all can't be objective. To be fair, it was a Tuesday so it was slow but the service was great. The food came out so fast and it was so good. I actually dislike about 97% of "Mexican" restaurants because they are never close to authentic. I mean it's going to be hard to please a guy from Mexico right...
