Heard about this place.and came with my little sister for dinner. Very colorful inside and plenty of seating. Menu is posted on the wall and cold drinks are up for grabs. Everything from water, soda, juices, and cold beer. I went with a pineapple Jarrito and it was tasty and refreshing. Sister had a carne asada burrito and that thing was huge and came with a side of tortilla chips. I had the famous barria tacos (came with 3) with a side of tortilla chips as well. The tacos were full of.flavor and the gravy to dip into was.great and I even dipped my chips in it. Everything was good and filling. Definitely need to come back to try more things on the menu. They have fries stacked like nachos and fries are Life. Also want to try some.other tacos. Flavors and tastes is all here. read more

I LOVE Mexican food! I have it at least twice a week. I'm so glad we finally got a good Mexican restaurant in our area. The food here is great. The portions are pretty big. The prices are very reasonable. I like to get a vegetable bowl. It's only $10 and I always have leftovers. I like that it's a complete meal, as it comes with refried beans and rice. They have a good selection of sauces to put on top, and they're all very tasty. I feel like it's a better quality "chipotle" style restaurant. More authentic than a chipotle. You go to the counter to order and then they call your name when it's ready. Or they may bring it to you. The restaurant is nicely decorated. I really hope they succeed. read more

This place is an absolute banger. Go for the birria tacos...they are the most mouthwatering and savory tacos you'll ever have. Staff is above and beyond exceptional, and are genuinely interested in your experience. Prices are a little higher than your typical taco place, but the level of enjoyment I get out of eating their tacos and tostones is absolutely worth it for me. Really great spot for a good (and i mean GOOD!), filling, huge, and inexpensive meal. It was our first time here so we kind of over-ordered just to try different things and everything was FANTASTIC!. The food was fresh, great quality, and delicious. The birria tacos are amazing, the tostada is enough to share with 4 people, the Mexican potatoes is like a loaded nachos (on steroids) but with fries instead of tortilla chips, and a must if you like cheese sauce. The cheese sauce to fries ratio was about 1:1 and there were lots of fries! This is another appetizer that can be shared with 6 to 8 people (seriously!). The quesadillas was LOADED with chicken and my son LOVED it. We also got a burrito bowl and it was enough to probably feed a basketball team. The owner was very nice and welcoming. She was also the one preparing all the food. If you are craving Mexican food or don't know what to eat and you are hungry, definitely come check this place out. read more

I'm obsessed with this taco place, and I use to go almost 3/4 times out of the week, if not every week from how good it is. It's a small hole in the wall but the flavors that those tacos give out, omg insane. These are the most authentic tacos I've had in a while. Now I have tried Tiagos tacos but when I tell you that these are wayyyy better, it's the truth. More flavor and the corn tortillas that they use are better and soft. Not rubbery or bland like at Tiagos. It's amazing and if you haven't found a good spot for tacos, make it this one. They already know my order by heart from how often I go haha. I usually have the al pastor and carne asada tacos. Those I can have anytime, and even multiple at once from how good they are. read more

This New Mexican restaurant in the Palmetto Bay Area is delicious. The quesadillas are amazing. The burritos delicious and the choices of tacos is superb. The prices are a little high but considering the quality of food and size it's worth it compared to other Mexican restaurants. I would definitely recommend. Go in person. The service was just okay and the music too loud for my liking, making it perhaps not ideal for families with children. It was very busy and not necessarily spacious. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Having stayed till closing of two music week events the prior to evenings, this was in my mind a great recovery meal. Despite the name, this restaurant is not just Mexican, but actually fusion with Uruguayan cuisine. The main courses focused on that area, and the tacos had a lot of exotica such as ear and tongue. Given my preferences, and my stomach, the only basic options that I would get were there Al Pastor and chicken tacos, five dollars each. The menu said that they had alcohol, but apparently not on that week, supposedly for some bureaucratic issue. The tacos were served with just the tortilla and the meat, along with a basket of fixings, such as cilantro and line. No complaints of the food really, the tacos were actually well seasoned and for my taste buds made even better with the hot sauce that left a yummy after burn. When I went to the bathroom, the handle on the door was damaged. Besides that, in the end I was not feeling the place especially that there was a mandatory gratuity.

I have heard so much around this place and I can confidently say it lives up to the hype!…read more Finding parking nearby is a bit tricky as it is only street parking and there's only outside dining available. The music selection is fire though and I was jamming out the whole time while waiting for my food. I complimented them on the music selection and they mentioned the owner is dominican and puerto rican which explained the great music selection. I was helped out by Adrian and his service was helpful in finding what dishes to order. I took my food to go and it was piping hot, definitely made fresh to order which I enjoyed. The nachos were what I was most eager to try as they are all the rage on social media. They lived up to the hype and that nacho cheese is absolute gold. I love that it's served in a pizza box. It just makes it iconic. It travels well and everything was still hot when I got home. The Al Pastor taco was just okay, nothing to write home about but now the steak burrito was really really good. I love that they don't have rice in their burritos and instead replace it with potatoes, which is absolutely delicious. They give two different types of salsas with your order plus limes and the green salsa is unreal. Add it to everything for a flavor boost! All in all this place is fire and if you're craving nachos, this is definitely the place you should come to get your fix!

Ever since I tried their steak Caesar salad I've been obsessed. That was my usual from there for 5 years. 2 nights ago we ordered from uptown and when we got our order I was so angry I didn't want to even eat my food. 1. Steak literally looked like wet dog food 2. They no longer do the frisée salad instead It's just plain old Romaine lettuce 3. For some reason they stopped giving their salsa now which was the highlight of my order 4. The container is so small and the egg was so hot that it melted all the Parmesan cheese and it was just a nasty glob 5. The eggs were so over boiled that they had that grey tint on the yolk and smelled horrible 6. 2 salads cost almost $50 so jokes on us Never again!!! I've literally banned uptown from our house. The audacity to charge so much for a mid salad topped with nasty dog food looking "steak"

Overall the food was good but could be better. I ordered the birria tacos and the tacos had good flavor, but the the dipping sauce was kind of gross, it was way to oily. The sauce is nothing close to authentic and has a lot of room to improve. A big issue that I have with this place is the prices. I paid $16 for 3 birria tacos. That is over $5 a taco. I'm sorry but this isn't Miami Beach or miracle mile. It should be priced more fair. The staff is very nice and provided me with a great experience. Everything new needs critiquing. It's up to them if they want to listen to their customers or not. The tacos should be no more then $12 for birria. Decided to give this place a try because it's close to my house, instead of driving else where like a usually do. At the moment I'm going to continue to drive elsewhere. read more

Honestly has time be one of the most awful places I've ever been to. The people that work there are extremely disruptive and rude. I'm not sure why but my receipt listed a different price than what i was charged, which was more, might want to look into that. The cashier was a black guy sitting in a chair. read more

The food sizes at this restaurant were quite generous, and the prices were reasonable. However, the flavor of the dishes was a bit underwhelming. While the food was well-prepared and cooked to perfection, it lacked the bold and exciting flavors that I was hoping for. read more
