Los Amigos used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. The last two times we have eaten there, we have been disappointed. The most recent experience was pretty unpleasant (though not dreadful). The service was mostly great. We were promptly greeted & seated upon arrival. Our drinks came quickly. Our server answered our questions to the best of her ability, kept our drinks full, and even joked with my toddler. The food runners are always a little impolite, but understandably so as rushed as they are. Upon sitting down, we noticed they have gone up on their prices ($1.50 for a side of sour cream???). I ordered the "El Combo Special" ($13.50) because I couldn't decide what I wanted. I ordered "chicken nuggets" ($4.95) for my daughter. The chicken nuggets (which were very generously proportioned) came first (as requested). We were given a dingy, old old old, bottle of ketchup that tasted horrible. The chicken had the same texture as a mcnugget from McDonald's (gross!), and they had no flavor whatsoever. My food arrived next. I tried each item included with the meal. The chile rellano was colorless, and bland bland bland. The pepper didn't even have flavor. The chalupa was decent, but half of it was shoved underneath the chile and thus, soggy. The enchilada was also bland. The burrito tasted very salty, which is out of the ordinary. None of the dishes were worth a second bite. When our server came to check on us, I sent food back (for the first time in my life, mind you!) because I was not happy with it. She apologized. When she returned, she offered our check. We were surprised to see that we were charged for the full amount of the meal that I took (literally) 4 bites of. As we were paying, I told the cashier that I did not eat the dish. He told me I would have to talk to "her" about that, because that's "her money." Then he promptly walked away to find my server, they discussed for a moment, then he returned. I started to apologize for being a pest, but he cut me off to tell me my total would be $28. I was still charged $5 for my meal, and never told why I was paying AT ALL for a meal that I did not eat. I have been to Los Amigos many times & always enjoyed the food (ALWAYS!). But both recent visits resulted in utter disappointment. Jacking up prices to reduce food quality. That's good business. read more

Best Mexican around!! I've tried several other places and it's all nasty compared to Los amigos! They have the best chips and salsa and cheese dip!! U always get chicken and cheese quesadilla and my 2 younger girls get the combo; beef burrito that comes with rice and beans. Nobody beats Los amigos not puerto Nuevo, not el jimador, not papas and beer. !!!!!!! If it's your first time to Los amigos I suggest the cheese dip with your chips and salsa as soon as you sit down !!!!! Mmmmmmmm read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ended up here because it was close to a directionally challenged friend's hotel. The service was fast and friendly and I found the food pretty good considering the location. If you're dying for Mexican in the Clemson area I would definitely check them out. read more

Ok Ate dinner today with wife I had guacamole and quasedillas Guacamole was pureed not chunky not what i was used to Quasedillas were folded over like soft taco instead of flat- filling was good chicken on one and spinach on another - again not what i was expecting Wife had grilled chicken breast w pineapple and steamed vegetables Chicken was good vegetables were. This is not worth your time. There is absolutely no flavor. Not even salt. The salsa tasted like a mushy tomato. There wasn't anything wrong with the food or service. Just tasted bland, dry, and lack of portion size. Taco Bell has more flavor. Skip it. read more

The food, the drinks and the service are all great at Los Amigos. They have a beautiful newer facility that seems to be just as popular as their old location. I often suggest that my real estate clients eat there if they enjoy Mexican food. read more

First time here with my fiancée and the food is awful. First of all you have to pay if you want more chips and salsa, I have never heard of that before. I ordered the El combo special to try the different items, and it is awful bland tasting food. read more

Worst meal here in the 6 years we have been coming here on 9/9/2018 with aT least twice per month visits. The service was terrible, food prepared wrong and had little flavor. Requested re-make of one plate and by the time the food came out everyone else at the table had finished - about 20 minutes. Asked to speak to manager and waited until I finally went to register to find him. His response is what do you want me to do - shouldn't have to tell him how to satisfy or apologize to a customer. WILL NOT RETURN. read more

I really like the Los Amigos in Seneca SC. The service is usually very good and the food reliable good with good portion size. The atmosphere is nice but simple and they do get crowded sometimes so expect to wait if you go during their busy times. read more

Los Amigos - Mexican Near Me - Seneca, South Carolina

I was very disappointed today! I went in with my best friend who was already had a bad day, into los amigos. As we got there we got chips and salsa as always. All my friend and I wanted was a fried ice cream to share. Since she was having a bad day from school I wanted her to feel better by taking her out. As our ice cream came out it didn't even have a shell which is our favorite part and not only that it was old. As any other person I told our waitress and she told her manger. He came over there and I told him it tasted old, it wasn't just me either because my best friend said the same thing when she tried it. He told us he would be back and never came back. Our waitress gave me the bill and I was charged $7.99 and on the menu it was $4.99 and it for something we didn't even eat and chips and salsa. We never get charged for that. So went I went to pay and the manger said that he didn't care if we liked it, and said he was charging us for chips and salsa. After my best had a bad day at school, she had a even worse day thanks to them! I was very disappointed, and so was my best friend! #rude #oldfood #nasty read more

I am very displeased with how I was treated here tonight. I absolutely love this place and eat here twice a week if not more. The employees know me and many of my friends. I ate with a group of people tonight that ate and left at various times, therefore the ticket was left at the register for payment by each guest. This has NEVER been a problem. This restaurant doesn't split their tickets. I go up to pay and the cashier/owner tries to force me to pay for food I didn't order. I explained to him that people were still eating with the group and would be up to pay later. He then told me that last time our group came in they didn't pay for one of the cheese dips that was ordered. I let him know that I was not at the last meeting and that the cheese dip was not mine. He continued to try and make me pay for it. Finally, after numerous times of explaining to him that I was not ripping him off, he just charged me for what I ate. He then jerked my debit card out of my hand, swiped it, and slammed it down on the counter in front of me. It took everything in me not flip the counter over on top of him. I have NEVER been treated this way. I spend a lot of money in this place. They ought to be ashamed. You don't treat your long time customers that way! This was bad business! Be careful here, it may happen to you. read more

Really good food. However the service was not. My co-workers and I went there for lunch last week. Our waitress was not nice, did not bring the correct orders and then wanted to charge us for the missing items even though we did not get them. We have never had this problem before. read more

Probably the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten in. The service was passable but not friendly. The salsa was bland. I had the fajitas; the chicken and beef were tough and tasteless. No guacamole. At least the Modelo was cold. Skip this one, Taco Bell is better. read more

AWESOME FOOD!! I have never had bad food from Los Amigos, ever. However, there have been a few times where the service was less than extraordinary. That being said, everyone has "off" days. Los amigos is hands down my favorite Mexican restaurant! The chips are always fresh, salsa and cheese if nothing less than awesomeness, and the food is always fresh and brought out quickly! 5 out of 5 in my book! read more

We went with a group of 30 people at 9:50 pm on Friday night. We split in two different tables of approximately 15 people each. Soon after we sat down and were served chips and salsa. No one gave us menus or took our drink order. Our other table which was seated at the same time were given menus and served drinks and their order was taken. We waited about another 10 minutes and then someone from the waitstaff told us the kitchen just closed and we had to leave. WE WERE TREATED SO BAD!!! read more

Average Mexican restaurant in Seneca. I've had much better, but also much worse. Be wary of take out as the orders seem to often get messed up or completely wrong. Pricing is decent, but can no one in SC do Fajita Quesidillas as I like them? read more

We ordered Fajitas For Two, and while the fajitas were very good (came with shrimp, chicken and beef) the plate with the 3 side ingredients had the queso completely covered by the shredded lettuce. I wanted to use the queso and didn't want to use lettuce on my fajitas, but it was impossible to separate the two. I explained that to the waitress and she brought a side order of queso for which they wanted to bill us $3.50 extra. Her service was extremely good and she was very pleasant, but the manager would only offer half off the price of the extra queso. At checkout, I explained to him that the queso served with the original order would have been sufficient had it not been mixed into the lettuce. He grudgingly removed the entire extra charge, making a big show of angrily shaking his head and frowning as he operated the register. The food was wonderful but his bad attitude made us decide that our first visit was our last visit. They lost 2 new customers forever because of that. read more
