It's been a week since Dr. Cobbins performed my breast augmentation and I am beyond happy with the outcome! I began seeing Dr. Cobbins about 6 months ago. I couldn't get in to see Dr. Braithwaite that week for fillers, so the receptionist informed me that Dr. Cobbins had an opening-- so I took it and I'm so glad I did! Dr. Cobbins was great- incredibly down to earth, professional, and extremely detailed in her technique. When I began thinking about having a breast augmentation-- I knew I wanted her to do it. Fast forward to the consultation. Dr. Cobbins was so thorough in explaining the procedure, type of implants, size, risks, etc.--I went ahead and booked the surgery for later that month. The morning of surgery, I arrived at the surgery center to a friendly staff but have to admit, I was a bit nervous. I filled out my paperwork and was introduced to the anesthesiologist-- Dr. Belfonte. After being prepped, in walked Dr. Cobbins, with a huge smile on her face and lots of energy-- which immediately put me at ease. The nurse walked me back to the operating room, I climbed up on the table and was fast asleep! I woke up with no nausea --which is a first ever for me (Dr. Belfonte was great) and felt no pain. I went home about two hours later with perfect breasts-- going from a small B to a D cup (silicone). I can truly say the entire process was relatively painless. I felt some discomfort at times but overall it was a breeze. I had the best experience and have a new found confidence. 1.5 weeks ago, I had 360 liposuction on my full abdomen, upper back dorsal rolls and lower back flanks, in addition to liposuction of my neck/chin. Dr. Cobbins was my third consultation, and after meeting with her, I booked my surgery that day. Dr. Cobbins spent a lot of time with me going through my needs and aligning with me on my expected results - I never felt rushed. During my pre-op appointment, she met with me again to review everything we had gone through during the consultation and I also met the nurse who wrote my prescriptions and fitted me for my compression garments. On the day of my surgery, I was not nervous - I was excited and ready to get it over with so I could begin healing. I arrived that morning, met with the nurse, the anesthesiologist and Dr. Cobbins before heading into the Operating Room. The OR is inside her practice, and it was very convenient not having to go to an outpatient center or hospital. Five hours later, next thing I knew, I woke up in the post-op room with my nurse who helped me with drinking water, eating a small snack, using the bathroom and getting into my clothing. I could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. My recovery has been manageable. I am 1 week, 2 days post-op and see fantastic results, knowing they will only improve with time. My bruising has significantly faded. My surgery was on a Wednesday, so I took Thursday & Friday off of working (I work from home) and felt rested and ready to work again by Monday. Absolutely amazing! I seen Dr. Cobbins in the summer for a revision for my breast aug and instantly i fell in love with her staff and especially her!! Iv seen probably dozen plastic surgeon in my time and she was one of the only doctors who took her time and totally made me feel like she understood! My consultation went amazing and i new she was the perfect match for me! I had to change my pre opp appointment multiple times and i they were nice about making the changes..(which i was nervous they'd might get annoyed but were so sweet:).) my pre-opp came and i was a bit nervous the 2 nd time around seeing i was anticipating the pain I had from the first surgery.. Dr. Cobbins is one of the most easiest people you can talk to you it's not just because she's a doctor she's an actual real person.. I truly believe she cares and loves her job! With surgery I feel like you have to put your total trust in someone and I did with her. She made me feel like she understood exactly what I wanted an exceeded my expectations... Today had my surgery, and I'm about 8hours out and already im so happy with my results(and she already called to check up on me). Dr. Cobbins is amazing! I actually had two separate consultations at the practice with both Dr. Cobbins and Dr. Braithwaite. Although I'm sure Dr. Braithwaite is a great doctor; I just felt more comfortable with Dr. Cobbins. She is very nice and extremely knowledgeable. She performed my breast augmentation in December 2012 and I can't be happier with the results. It's only been three months, and my breasts have "fallen" and look so natural. And the two small scars underneath my breasts are barely noticeable. Dr. Cobbins was super patient with me during my initial consultation and didn't even mind that we went past our scheduled hour. I never felt rushed and could tell that she was more concerned with me being comfortable about the procedure and having all of my questions answered. She thoroughly answered every question I had and even provided me with information I hadn't even thought about. I went to see Dr. Cobbins for Breast Augmentation surgery. From My first consultation I knew I liked her and wanted her to be my Dr. All of the staff at the office were very friendly and helpful. I chose Dr. Cobbins because she made me feel comfortable as I was making a major life changing decision. On the day of the surgery I was amazed at the service I recieved. I was never left alone. I was given constant care and attention & again I was made to feel very comfortable. The surgery went great. At my Post-op appt Dr. Cobbins was so encouraging and excited with my progress as was I. I recently saw Dr. Cobbins for a breast augmentation & she exceeded my expectations. Before my consultation with her I met with 2 other doctors & she was way more thorough & knowledgeable than the others. She talked me through the whole procedure & made sure I was comfortable with everything. Dr. Cobbins was also extremely personable! She really takes her time with getting to know each & every patient & it felt as if she & I had been life long friends. Dr. Cobbins truly is the best, the day of the surgery she called me later that night to check on me & made sure everything was going well. The day after surgery I felt great no pain, drainage, or blood I was able to go out & about like nothing ever happened. Getting a BA was my first time going under the knife so I was quite nervous not to mention I got the procedure done during a pandemic so I wasn't allowed to have anyone in the room with me before going into surgery. Dr. Cobbins is truly AMAZING! I went in for a breast augmentation and liposuction consultation with her and she spent so much time with me going over everything step by step. We discussed the procedure, what to do pre op and what to expect post op, she answered all questions and concerns. Above all, she was completely honest and did not hesitate to give her opinion. I made a consultation appointment with Dr. Cobbins at the Aesthetic Institute of Chicago based on the reviews I read here and elsewhere. I felt comfortable in seeing her because she is a board certified plastic surgeon. Without going into the specifics of my condition, during the consultation, she took the time to go through all of my options, and suggested that the doctors who told me that my condition is not covered by my medical insurance coverage are wrong - that my condition should be addressed by a specialist within my health plan. Now, she could have simply said, "I will take your money and perform surgery on you - but the fact that she put me and my interests (both medical AND financial) first is all you need to know about her. I am grateful to her for her frankness, honesty, and advocacy. read more

Dr. Cobbins is amazing! My visit with Dr. Cobbins was a little different than the other reviews in that it was non-elective. I actually saw Dr. Cobbins in the emergency room after I was bit by a dog on my face. I had about a 1.5 inch gash above my lip which required stitches. First, Dr. Cobbins came into the emergency room during the middle of night to see me - so thankful. Second, her bedside manner is awesome. I was a little hysterical when she first came in, but she calmed me down and made me feel very comfortable. I had the stitches removed about a week after the incident and it's amazing how little of a scar I have. It's only been a couple weeks, so I still have some healing to do, but she did an amazing job and I could not have asked for a better doctor! read more

I went to see Lorri Cobbins just after she joined Aesthetic Institute in Chicago and she is amazing! We had a really good conversation about all of my concerns and she had already read my notes from the last visit. I could not be happier with the results of the procedure. The results exceeded all of my expectations. Dr. Cobbins did a phenomenal job. The patient coordinator Gordana and the rest of the medical staff were all very pleasant and professional as well. I would highly recommend Dr. Cobbins for anyone considering plastic surgery. Dr. Cobbins is fantastic! I have been going to her for Skin Pen microneedling treatments for over a year. She does amazing work (great surgeons hands!) and I have had excellent results over 7-8 sessions so far -- skin firming, pore minimizing, and a nice glow! She carefully explains what she's doing and provides good detailed after care instructions. Prices are also very reasonable for the fantastic services she provides.
