Karely, my hygienist, spent the most time with me and was incredibly gentle, attentive, and nonjudgmental - she also took the time to educate me on oral health in a way that felt supportive rather than overwhelming. Leilanee was also wonderful during scheduling and checkout, bringing a friendly, light energy that made the whole visit even easier. I finally found my person! I have a built in retainer behind my teeth which makes cleaning hard to keep up with all the time. I see Tara every 3-4 months and she is so gentle. Normally teeth cleaning gives me so much discomfort but she plays music of my choice for me and she is very light handed while making my teeth feeling clean inside out. This was my first time seeing a dentist in a very long time. The office staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. They took care of the dental insurance in a timely manner. The tech who took the X-rays and cleaned my teeth was very gentle and experienced. It did not hurt like it used to back in the day. As for Dr. Chee she is very good since she has been doing this for over 30 years. After everything was completed she took the time to talk to me on her own for like 15-20 mins. Highly recommend! Just like everyone else in the world, I have LOTS of anxiety about going to the dentist but being seen by Dr. Chee and her wonderful staff this morning made me feel so much at ease. I woke up with pain in my back tooth and I knew it was something that probably got stuck back there as my gums were swollen too. Dr. Chee was kind enough to see me on an emergency basis, and from the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and knew I would be in good hands. She has come highly recommended by the Woodbridge community. I received a very warm and friendly greeting by Tahera and Leilanee at the front desk. The staff is incredibly friendly greeting you as you come in the door. I was then taken back by Judy for x-rays and she is knowledgeable and explains everything to you in understandable terms. Once my x-rays were done, Dr. Chee came in and let me know that I have some plaque buildup that was irritating my tooth and gums, but that she would give me a quick cleaning for the time being to alleviate some of the pain and I would need a cleaning soon. She has a very light hand and within a couple of minutes into my cleaning, the pain started to lessen. She then had Aline the hygienist come in and get in a bit deeper and she too was so great. I can honestly say that the entire team was very professional and skilled, top to bottom. They sent me home with some cleaning rinse for the time being and I scheduled my 2nd appointment with them already for a full cleaning. Dr. Chee and her staff are warm, personable, and made me feel extremely cared for throughout my time with them. I could not have had a better first impression. This family dentist office is professional, caring and friendly in a nice, clean atmosphere. We felt like we were the only patients because of the personal touch. They offered convenience in scheduling albeit getting initial set up in their computer system seemed a bit challenging at first...all worked out just great in the end. They saw both of my kids consecutively, which I appreciate with our busy schedule. Going to the dentist can be stressful and uncomfortable, but Dr.Chee was timely, professional and friendly putting both myself and the kids at ease with solid dental care. The kids felt at ease with no painful teeth experiences. I felt comfortable with her professionalism. She created an action plan for them with careful considerations of all factors & is following up on her action plan. This was also not a prolonged visit, which again being a busy family is hugely appreciated. This dentist is a scam artist. She has poor bedside manners and tries to push unnecessary treatments. She's pushy and was very condescending with my emergency visit today. Making it seem it was MY FAULT my bridge fell off. When in fact she loosened it with her tools the last time I saw her for a cleaning in mid October. She said I'm a non compliant patient because I need more frequent visits. My insurance only covers two cleanings but she wasn't happy with that answer. She got an attitude and basically threw a paper at me and told me to call the surgeon when I told her I couldn't go today because my mother whose critical has an appointment. Her office has also made appointments without my consent and will constantly bother you with texts. Please research your dental practice. I went there because apparently she use to be honest when my husband's grandfather was still alive, but we're going elsewhere. read more

Upon moving to California from Michigan I had to undergo the unpleasant process of finding a new dentist. After reading some reviews I decided to go with Dr. Chee and it could not have been a better choice! Right off the bat I let her know that I was interested in getting some orthodontic work done and she recommended a practice in the area. She also let me know what work would need to be done to my teeth before Ortho could begin and what could wait until after. Her and her staff worked with me to maximize my dental benefits through procedure choice and timing, as well as being accommodating of my work schedule. Over the 3 years I was a patient with her(2 of which were in braces) my dental health and smile have improved exponentially because of the care and understanding of her and her team. Everyone here was so kind and welcoming. They were great with my daughter, especially the hygienist! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr.Chee. She is absolutely amazing at her profession and is so caring and kind. I have been going to her since a kid for over 20 years now. I have lived out of state in Montana and Washington for the last 5.5 years and always save my dentist appointments for when I'm in California. One time I needed a regular teeth cleaning but did not have plans to go to California soon so I found a dentist in WA and it was awful! They said I needed 8 or 9 cavities filled and I was shocked because I had just seen Dr. Chee 6 months prior and there was nothing she was watching or concerned about. I immediately called her office and had the X-rays transferred to her, she reviewed them and called me to explain why I didn't need these fillings. She saved me a lot of pain, anxiety and money! Dr. Chee goes above and beyond which seems to be hard to find in a dentist. Another amazing story about Dr. Chee; I had to get my first filling in probably 15 years so I was a bit nervous and she did everything to ensure I was comfortable and wouldn't feel anything. She also explained exactly what she would be doing. And she even called me later that afternoon to make sure I was okay or if I need anything since she knew I was nervous. She is just so sweet.
