For my meal, I ordered the Jolie Omelet with a side of country potatoes. Very delicious, but I wish the omelet had a bit more cheese and bacon. I also got the mimosa flight (comes with two full sized mimosa). My absolute favorite was the guava -- the juice was incredibly fresh. Our waiter was Daniel M. and he was the best! Super attentive, great listener, and after I revealed to him that we were there to celebrate me getting a new job, he surprised me with a slice of cake and ice cream! He was a very sweet human!!!

I ordered the "So Much Drama," and my husband had the "Amalfi Coast," which he really enjoyed. We started by sharing a wedge salad. For our entrées, my husband ordered the pistachio-crusted halibut, and I had the cioppino with linguine. We both really enjoyed the vegetables served with his dish! Unfortunately, my meal was just okay. The broth was a bit bland and lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. Our server, Luke, was attentive and provided great service throughout the evening, which we appreciated. Overall, the views are stunning, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service was good, but the food didn't quite live up to our expectations. While we enjoyed our evening together, we likely won't be returning.

Another delicious meal at BLK for my belated birthday celebration with a lifelong friend!! We have…read morebeen coming for years, usually on Friday nights. We were met with a wonderful Saturday night treat!! There is always the spectacular ocean view, but the evening was made more special with a guitarist, Keith Chagall, who brought live music and humor -- this guy is so skilled and has an encyclopedic repertoire across many genres. The music was on the house sound system, so it gave an even experience around the restaurant as he strolled through the tables. We'll be coming Saturday nights from now on, as this makes it a complete special evening out! Now the meal--- we enjoyed fab martinis (bleu cheese olives- top notch!) and wine, and shared the poke tower (always spectacular and fresh), grilled artichokes (the right amount of herbs with a lemon to add a zip), margherita flatbread (perfect thin crust-- topped with fresh tomatoes and basil), and a killer mushroom and bleu cheese risotto that will stay in our memories!! Staff and servers are always low key and professional-they take good care. We always talk about trying a new spot, but happy we came back!! Good food and drinks, music, and an ocean view... what could be better!!

Easy to park in their lot and it was free with validation. Six or so tables along the glass on the patio, and another 4-6 in the dining room, make this a wonderful pace for dinner, apps or drinks while watching a sunset. Mia at the front desk made sure we had a great seat. Phil was our waiter and he took great care of us all evening. A delicious paloma martini got us started and we loved the spicy tuna tartare tacos. The short ribs with pineapple cheesy risotto was yummy and my wife loved the salmon and mashed potatoes. Huge portions and the price was not crazy. Pretty quiet on the patio aside from a few loud motorcycles along PCH. The dining room was a bit louder with the piped in music but too loud in there. We will definitely be back. Solid dinner house with great ocean views.

I'm really disappointed to have to update my review after our latest experience at The Brant…read more Unfortunately, the lack of hospitality we experienced this time was incredibly disappointing from the moment we arrived. We brought my stepdad, who was in a wheelchair, and when we entered, there were two young women working at the front. Despite clearly seeing us trying to navigate the entrance with his wheelchair, neither offered to help with the door. We literally had to ask them to assist us. Something as simple as holding the door for a guest in a wheelchair should be basic hospitality and common courtesy. Unfortunately, the experience did not improve once we sat down at the bar. Our bartender, Viviana/Vidiana, essentially ignored us. My stepdad ordered a glass of Chardonnay, and she clearly heard his order. Rather than acknowledging him or getting his drink, she continued talking to another couple at the bar about how she couldn't wait to be off work. She then walked away, said something quietly to the bartender coming on shift about my stepdad wanting a Chardonnay, grabbed her purse, and left. There was no "Someone else will be taking care of you," no acknowledgment of his order, no goodbye -- nothing. It honestly came across as incredibly rude and dismissive. What bothered me most wasn't having to wait for a glass of wine; it was the complete lack of warmth, attentiveness, and basic hospitality throughout the experience. When you are bringing a family member who uses a wheelchair somewhere, you already have additional things to navigate. Having staff make you feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed guests makes the experience that much worse. We have enjoyed The Brant before, which is why this visit was especially disappointing. Hospitality is about making people feel welcome and cared for, and unfortunately, that was completely missing during our latest visit.

A lovely date night at The Ranch…read more It had been about ten years since I'd been to The Ranch, and it was just as beautiful as I remembered. Our server, Jimmy, and his assistant, Rodrigo, were wonderful. The entire staff was attentive and ready to help. We never had to look around for someone, and that kind of care really makes a difference on a date night. My partner and I love sharing, so we ordered a few dishes. The steak was perfectly medium, and the buttery, flaky halibut with risotto was delicious. We also enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese and the flower shaped bread with a variety of flavors. Palomas weren't on the menu, but the team was happy to make them for me and I appreciated that. The clam chowder was tasty, with more of a tomato bisque style. A manager stopped by to explain it, which was a thoughtful touch. We don't usually order dessert, but tonight we went for the New York cheesecake, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything we had was so good. We truly enjoyed our date night and highly recommend The Ranch for a special evening or celebration. We will definitely add this place to our date rotation.

SMH so here goes. Located in industrial area and within a business complex near Dland, plenty of parking including valet. Upon entry the vibe is modern man cave woodsy chalet with leather furniture and animal skin backs. Service is usually solid (some staff better than others) but the main show is the menu. They have unique offerings that is not easily available at other establishments such as the country fried quail appetizer. Trust me, this one is a MUST! We've converted non-believers into those that finish the last bite refusing to share this dish. Their steak offerings no matter what cut you get will almost always be cooked the way you requested and the flavors are definitely high end steakhouse. Prime rib is hands down better than Lawry's, no questions! For dessert, there is an off menu item which most gate keep but I'm going to share it: popcorn ice cream! Don't judge just try! Tip: please make sure to check their website for their strictly enforced dress code. CA casual can get one denied.

The dumplings were so light and the sauce and broth definitely made this dish amazing! We also had the shaking beef and I have to say Nathan (the chef) really knows how to cook!! Thank you Nathan for one of the best dining experiences I've ever had! We will definitely be back for more.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. I am loving this place and will be coming back. Thank you so much for the staff for making my mom feel so wonderful on her birthday. The food was amazing Services amazing. Now as an adult, for a restaurant, right on the beach, with perfect ocean and pier views... the pricing is better than expected. About ~$20 give or take for lunch. Not bad. I had the Calamari and I was impressed with it . The presentation is beautiful but also an annoyance, lol. They smear the sauce on the side of a plate to make it look pretty, but its a pain to dip the calamari in, so I had to get some on the side. We all know what the Four seasons are…read more.. (Meanwhile, us California's are all googling what seasons the other 49 states actually get)... You know: Spring, Summer, Fall (Autumn) and Winter And I can almost bet you, that every last one of you, if I asked, would have your favorite season picked out and would of course, have the exact reason as to why it was your fav. Of course, we would get the... "I absolutely love Spring time because everything is in bloom." Or "I can't wait till this summer because I just love going out to the lake with the fam." Or "I'll never forget seeing Vermont in Autumn with all of the changing of the colors. Man was it breathtaking." Or Every East Coaster saying, "I just can't wait for Winter to show it's beautiful face and dump extreme amounts of snow just so it can brighten up my day" ...said no New Yorker ever! That's right, there are seasons that we all love and look forward to, but sometimes, there are also seasons that some of us just dread. Well, this past Spring... Although the flowers were all in bloom and my favorite season, Summer, which was just around the corner... The season I'm about to drop on you is not one from above, but I have a feeling you're gonna like it. Yes! My family and I, well mainly my wife and I, celebrated a season that I know most of you just might say is your NEW favorite season.... I'm talkin' Agave Season!!! Yeah, you know, that Blue Agave plant which is where a little thing called Tequila is derived from. And tequila my friends, when drinking straight, shot after shot, is the reason that some, most, well, pretty much all of us, usually make some bad decisions.... But.... If you just happen to mix that silver or gold tequila with a little lime juice, orange liqueur, a splash of sweetener and some salt on the rim... That my friends is a Margarita and NO bad decision has ever come out of ordering a Margarita EXCEPT not ordering a second one ;) Well this Spring, while in Huntington Beach on Spring Break for our kids school, we decided the Season of Agave was upon us and what better time to celebrate it than the present. Yes, Agave Seasons Mexican restaurant was just a short walk from the Hyatt Regency Resort where we called home for a few days and it was just what we needed after lounging around all day at the pool. So of course, first things first, we each ordered ourselves a Margarita... A little complimentary chips n salsa followed.. And instantly I was transported to my happy place. From there, it was Sizzling Fajita city and boy did they sizzle. Served with all the expected sides (rice, beans, pico, guac, sour cream & warm tortillas.... Yeah, I was a happy boy! The food was good, the service was standard and the salsa had a kick. Overall, it was a decent meal & it did the job. So... The next time you are craving a Marg... Don't stress if it's not a hot summer day. And definitely Don't stress if it is a chilly Winter evening. Cause no matter the reason, & no matter the season. It's ALWAYS Margarita 'o clock at Agave Seasons!

There were large blueprints covering half of the bar - they moved them once I sat down. Service extremely slow. I ordered a Mala Fama, Duck Carnitas and Tuna Ceviche. Duck Carnitas were extremely DRY. It needed every morsel of guacamole / avocado to make it edible. Also, it needed a sauce or salsa. Next, was the tuna ceviche. The tuna itself wasnt the freshest but it wasnt bad. But the dish was sitting in a pool of soy sauce, with I found excessive and odd. The Mala Fama - a mezcal cocktail - was the saving grace. However, it seemed to have been poured short for the size of the glass. It was delicious though. The restaurant itself was cute but the service was slow and the food wasnt worth returning for.
