Ambiance is super cute (it's a re-purposed, historic gas station located on the town's square) with both indoor and outdoor seating. I got the Grilled Marinated Vegetable Wrap. It's pre-made and refrigerated; I really appreciated the cashier offering to heat it up on the grill. The wrap was filled to the brim with caramelized onions, squash, and broccolini plus tangy goat cheese- messy but delicious. The menu said it's served with chipotle aioli, but I didn't get that on the side (possible it was already in the wrap, but I wasn't really able to distinguish it). There are a few dedicated parking spots for the Sinclair. I believe all the parking in Downtown is free too, but it was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon. 10/10 would recommend!

We stop by often to see what's fresh, and the offerings change regularly, which keeps things interesting. For folks just passing through, the selection might seem modest--"austere" might be the better word--but that's exactly what makes this place special. Rather than overwhelming you with quantity, Strickland Pride focuses on quality. Everything they carry feels handpicked, and you can tell it's sourced with care by people who truly know and love what they're doing. It's local, it's honest, and it's some of the best produce you'll find anywhere.

OMG, it's take-out only (for now), but it was some of the best food I have ever eaten. If you're in the area, try it! I got spicy (despite the label, it wasn't melt your face off level hot-- just pleasantly lip tingling), but they have something for everyone-- even if you don't enjoy spicy things. Even better, everything is packaged fresh and ready to go/ pack for lunch/ take out onto the lake/ whatever. The trays are completely sealed, so you don't have to worry about a mess in your car/cooler/lunch bag. They even make their paneer fresh in-house and roast/blend their own spices and curries. I also enjoyed sipping my first ever ThumsUp cola. They have some other food stuffs and Indian wares for sale there too. Treat yo'self! For the best selection, order ahead-- but you can do so easily from their website. You will not be disappointed! My picture is a lousy depiction of the carefully prepared deliciousness that I enjoyed, but I wanted you to see how they packaged the food.

Everything was so good that I returned the very next day with friends--and every one of us left with a bag full of goodies. I have been back several times since and now consider myself a regular customer. The pastries are beautiful without sacrificing flavor, and the baguettes have the crisp crust and texture you hope for from an authentic French bakery. The pastry case makes it difficult to choose just one thing, which is a wonderful problem to have. The bakery is a lovely addition to historic downtown Madison and is worth visiting whether you are local or simply passing through. Come hungry and plan to take something home with you!

I have been here multiple times and it never fails to disappoint. A few of my favourite items are Baguette - MUST PURCHASE. One of the best even compared to many of the bakeries in Atlanta. Croissant - All are very good. Highly recommend Blueberry Fontaine - becoming another favourite. Better to eat the day of. They are usually sold out so I always try to snag them. Eclairs - another staple I've been getting. The filling is delicious AND Jam packed. I only wish they have a chocolate top with vanilla filling option but that's cause it's a nostalgic thing. Smore Tart - I love this but I usually have to share with because the chocolate is so dense. Keylime - another one I always get, just the perfect flavor. Honestly haven't had a bad thing there. Also the customer service person is always as enthusiastic as we are about the goods. There is no place to sit but you can go across the square and get a coffee and have a seat in the old gas station (I've been told the bakery owns that company too)

The staff was helpful and friendly, and they were actively roasting coffee beans when I arrived, which was fun to see and added to the experience. I ordered a chai tea latte, and it was a strong four out of five. The atmosphere and experience of seeing the beans roasted had me setting my expectations higher, for something that might completely knock my socks off. The chai didn't quite reach that level, but it was still very enjoyable. I'm going to give this a strong four stars, mostly because I reserve five stars for the best of the best. While this was really, really good, I have had better. That being said, for a smaller local town, this coffee shop does an amazing job and could easily hold its own against some of the best coffee shops in much larger cities. I would absolutely encourage anyone visiting Madison to stop by. Grab a drink and enjoy it inside, or take it with you for a walk around the extremely cute downtown area. The coffee shop and town pair very well together.
