Go to ingles in Cleveland just about every morning during the week. The deli breakfast is good but the workers have such an attitude when you ask questions. And last week the drink section in the back wasn't cold at all and I spotted a manager Nick and told him he was so condescending and a week later the drinks are still warm. I think ingles needs to call a meeting about how to treat customers. I could understand if I had a attitude but I didn't I was being nice and was still talked to like I was a child!!! read more

Ingles is close to my home town of Charlotte but the market is dominated by Harris-Teeter (a subsidiary of Kroger) and Publix. We don't have an Ingles in Charlotte but they're close. So I always enjoy the opportunity to try something different and it reminds me that I'd love to have an Ingles closer to me for shopping. This is a large format store with fresh foods, deli, bakery, produce, a huge grocery section, butcher on site, fishmonger and a big frozen section. I had no trouble placing an order at the deli (yay, I can go shop instead of wait) and did pick up some bread and mayo and chips so that when I returned to the deli, my order was ready. Prices are not low but are reasonable. Everything is more expensive these days but I think the prices are competitive with what I'm used to. Especially the deals and sale items. Review of the Gas Portion Very familiar with Ingles since I grew up in Western North Carolina not very far from where they started. Thanksgiving in Marietta and heading back to Charlotte via Helen Ga. Early morning hours and in this part of NE Georgia, gas stations are either hard to find or not open yet. Not to worry because we had more than enough gas to get us back to I-85 but don't tell that to my wife. Spotted Ingles and I have purchased gas from them in the past. Generally competitive with everything in the area as was the case this time. That was exactly the case this time. Did not get a chance to drop into the store but I'm sure that it would have been great based on past experience. I'm an Ingles fan but the closest ones to me are in Lincolnton NC and Statesville NC. I love this store. The staff are always so nice except a few older veterans who work in the food cafe. They always seem to be grumpy and just not friendly at all. The store is always clean and organized. I don't like how it is set up though. It doesn't make sense with the freezer section in the middle. I know it sounds silly but for the last two months they have been out of many items we normally buy which is not convenient and forces us to shop at Walmart which I despise. The pharmacy is crazy awesome. The managers I have met have been great as well. The Starbucks is really nice but there is a guy who always makes my drink wrong so if he is working I leave and go to Dunkin for the days coffee. Let me also mention the AWFUL food in the Asian portion of the hot food section and the chicken bar. I've eaten here for the 3 months we have lived here and not once has it been good. I finally chalk it up to it being poor quality because it doesn't matter what time of the day we go the chicken is always hard and tastes like rubber. The fried rice and white rice is literally the only good thing there. We tried all of the bar chicken and it has never been edible. The hot meals in the Asian section are always salty and spicy. I mentioned I was looking for something that wasn't spicy to one of the older members and they laughed in a sarcastic manner and stated "If you don't like what we serve you can always cook it at home". I was stunned because I have never been spoken to like that by anyone much less from an Ingles. It was very rude. read more

Good selection of fresh produce including some organic. Deli has great sandwiches and good selection of other items. I have always experienced friendly service. The store is clean. Has a seafood Dept and for a small town that's a Plus. I recomend this store. read more

I never usually have issues in Ingles but as I was walking in a teenager who worked there was goofing off pushing a line of carts back into the store and he ran them straight into an elderly man an didn't even say sorry also he continued to goof off and almost rant them straight into my cart with my newborn in it read more

Oh hey there, grocery-type dwelling in White County. Pleasant Surprises: -Selection of Organics- I got some organic pears, Garden of Eatin organic blue corn chips, and organic Wallaby Australian yogurt, just as I would find at any Whole Foods back home. -Produce- Very fresh, very good. Don't have to dig through nonsense to get to the good stuff. -Prices- Cheeeeeeeeap (comparatively). -People- Everyone here is beyond nice. The general pace is...slow. So the peacoat wearing guy with funny hair whipping though the aisles at breakneck speeds tends to attract attention from all directions - i'm used to it, happens every time I visit. Keep an eye on the milk expiration dates, I had to dig a little for those. Other than that....good stuff. I stock up on my most enjoyed food items every time i'm down to visit. read more

This is our everyday grocery store. Its very close to work and very clean and well stocked. Especially when you consider we live OTP. Cleveland is a little town, but this is better then so many grocery stores I've been in the big city. Produce is fresh and reasonably priced. Deli is consistent selling fresh food. You should make sure and try their rotisserie chicken salad, its yummy. The meat area is good, hamburger meat ground fresh daily -- every morning they mark down yesterday's grind, so if you're a deal shopper, go early. Also markdowns on other meats in the AM. Pricing on groceries is better then at Kroger or Publix. I was shocked when I stopped in at Publix yesterday and left without buying a few of the things I went in for. We have an Advantage Club card, its free to be a member. I signed up for a weekly email that tells me items that are on sale that week that we buy. Yes, it tracks what we buy, but I don't care, it saves us money and alerts us when thing are on sale we buy anyway. At Christmas this year and last, we were sent a holiday card with a coupon for a free coconut cake AND 5% off a future order to thank us for our business. They have added a Starbucks to the front of the store. I'm not a fan of it being there, it clogs up the works when you are trying to get in and out of the place. But, this review is for Ingles, not the 'Bucks. Ingles has recently gotten new carts, so if you are a fan of those lil express carts, they have them ready and waiting. read more

Wow. This is like a Fresh Market, Wholefoods, and Publix all wrapped into one. The frozen food section is the largest I have ever seen. All the departments were spotless with great looking products. The salad bar was crazy, I would eat greens every day if this was in my neighborhood. The bakery has some great items including freshly baked super crispy cookies that are the bomb. We really didn't need to buy anything. We had a tour scheduled at a nearby winery and needed to kill a little time. So glad we popped in for a visit. read more

This is by far the worst Ingles! Unfortunately the closet, as i live here in Cleveland. I drive to Clayton or Hiawassee normally. Today had to make a quick run so went to Cleveland Ingles. Produce was disgusting!! Beat up squash, awful moldy green beans and okra, bagged broccoli was yellow or stuck to the sides. Passed on produce. Went to meats, ask for two filets and meat mkt guy let us wait 15 minutes, then came back and said he didn't want to cut a new one. Just horrible store. I highly recommend Walmart's Black Angus meats over any over priced Ingles products. Gosh i wish Aldi's, Kroger SOMETHING would come and save us from another 100. Order of 5 bags of overpriced borderline food! Ohhh. And the bottle of wine I bought left nasty sediment in my glass just gross! read more

After Irma came through, and before we headed home, we needed to top off our tanks. This was about 5 miles from Helen, Ga and they had gas pumps out in front. We have an ingles advantage card, using that gave us $0.20 off a gallon, so we ended up paying quite a bit less on the gas purchase which is AWESOME. read more

We really love this Ingles. We are not from Cleveland we are from Rockmart Georgia. However we have a vacation place here in Cleveland and come here often. What we like so much is that this Ingles has such a wide selection of everything we might want. It reminds you of a big city grocery store like you might find in Atlanta not like what you would find a smaller town like Cleveland. For example, they have a huge Olive bar, and a deli that seems to have every kind of meat boars head makes. We love the place! Every time we leave Cleveland we stop and buy groceries for the week before we go home. I wish we had a Ingles like this in our hometown. read more

Best produce and meat that I have found so far. Their sales are great. Can be pricey if what you want isn't on sale. The deli is insane. When my husband and I travel and we can find an Ingles we love to shop for the ready made food. The portions are large (we can get three meals out of the one purchase), the quality is good and the bakery in the same department is also great.
